ယေဇကျေလ 18
The word of Yahweh came to me again, saying,
2 ၂ အဘ တို့သည် ချဉ် သောစပျစ်သီးကို စား ၍ သား တို့သည် သွား ကျိန်း လျက်ရှိကြ၏ဟု၊ သင် တို့သည် ဣသရေလ ပြည် ကိုရည်မှတ် ၍ စကားပုံ ကို သုံး သောအခါ အဘယ်သို့ ဆိုလို သနည်း။
“What do you mean, you who use this proverb concerning the land of Israel and say, 'Fathers eat sour grapes, and the children's teeth are made blunt'?
3 ၃ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ငါ အသက်ရှင် သည်အတိုင်း နောက် တဖန်ဣသရေလ ပြည် ၌ ထို စကားပုံ ကိုသုံး ရသောအကြောင်းမ ရှိ ရ။
As I live—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration—there will certainly no longer be any occasion for you to use this proverb in Israel.
4 ၄ ဝိညာဉ် အပေါင်း တို့ကို ငါ ပိုင် ၏။ အဘ ၏ဝိညာဉ် ကို ငါပိုင်သကဲ့သို့ သား ၏ဝိညာဉ် ကိုလည်း ငါ ပိုင် ၏။ ပြစ်မှား သော ဝိညာဉ် သည် အသက်သေ ရမည်။
Behold! Every life belong to me—the life of the father as well as the life of the son, they belong to me! The soul who sins is the one who will die!
What can be said about a man who is righteous and who carries out justice and righteousness—
6 ၆ တောင် ပေါ်မှာ မ စား ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး ကိုးကွယ်သော ရုပ်တု တို့ကို မ ဖူး မမျှော်၊ သူ့ မယား ကို မ ပြစ်မှား ၊ ဥတု ရောက်သော မိန်းမ ကို မ ချဉ်းကပ် ၊
if he does not eat upon the mountains or lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, and he does not defile his neighbor's wife, nor approached a woman during her monthly period, is he a righteous man?
7 ၇ အဘယ်သူ ကိုမျှ မ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ၊ ကြွေး စားပေါင် ထား သော ဥစ္စာကို ပြန် ၍မပေးဘဲမနေ၊ သူ့ဥစ္စာ ကို အနိုင်အထက် မ လုမယူ၊ ငတ်မွတ် သောသူကို ကျွေးမွေး ၍ ၊ အဝတ် မရှိသောသူကို အဝတ် နှင့်ဖုံးလွှမ်း လျှင်၎င်း ၊
What can be said about a man who does not oppress anyone, and he gives back to the debtor what was put up as security for a loan, and he does not commit theft but gives his food to the hungry and he covers the naked with clothes, is he a righteous man?
What can be said about a man who does not charge too much interest for the money he loans, and he does not take too much profit for what he sells? It is said of him that he carries out justice and establishes faithfulness between people.
9 ၉ ငါ စီရင် ထုံးဖွဲ့သည် အတိုင်းကျင့် ၍ သစ္စာစောင့် ခြင်းကိုပြု လျှင်၎င်း ၊ ထိုသူ သည် ဖြောင့်မတ် သောသူဖြစ် ၏။ အကယ်စင်စစ်အသက်ရှင် ရလိမ့်မည်ဟု အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူ၏။
If that man walks in my statutes and keeps my decrees to act faithfully, then the promise for this righteous man is this: He will surely live!—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration.
10 ၁၀ သို့ရာတွင်၊ ထိုသူ၏သား သည် ထားပြ တိုက် သောသူ၊ လူအသက် ကိုသတ်သောသူ၊ အရင်ဆိုခဲ့ပြီးသော ဒုစရိုက်တစုံတခု ကို ပြု သောသူ၊
But suppose that he has a violent son who sheds blood and does any one of these things that were mentioned,
(though his father has not done any of these things). He eats upon the mountains and he defiles his neighbor's wife, what can be said about him?
12 ၁၂ ဆင်းရဲ ငတ်မွတ် သောသူကို ညှဉ်းဆဲ ခြင်း၊ သူ့ဥစ္စာ ကို အနိုင်အထက် လုယူခြင်း၊ ပေါင် ထားသော ဥစ္စာကို ပြန် ၍မ ပေးဘဲနေခြင်း၊ ရုပ်တု ကို ဖူးမျှော် ခြင်း၊ ရွံ့ရှာဘွယ် သော အမှုကိုပြု ခြင်း၊
This man oppresses the poor and needy, and he seizes and robs, and he does not return a pledge, and he lifts up his eyes to the idols and commits disgusting actions,
13 ၁၃ အတိုး စား၍ငွေချေး ခြင်းကိုပြုသောသူဖြစ် လျှင်၊ အသက်ရှင် ရမည်လော။ အသက် မ ရှင်ရ။ ထို ရွံ့ရှာဘွယ် သော အမှုများကိုပြုသောကြောင့်၊ စင်စစ်အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရမည်။ သေထိုက်သောအပြစ်ရှိ ၏။
and he lends out money at too high interest and he makes too much profit on what he sells, should that man live? Surely he will not! He will certainly die and his blood will be on him because he has done all these detestable things.
14 ၁၄ သို့ရာတွင် ၊ ထိုသူ၏သား သည် အဘ ပြုသမျှ သော ဒုစရိုက် တို့ကို မြင် ၍ဆင်ခြင်သဖြင့် ၊ ထိုသို့ သော အမှုတို့ကိုမ ပြု ၊
But behold! Suppose there is a man who bears a son, and his son sees all the sins that his father has committed, and though he sees them, he does not do those things.
15 ၁၅ တောင် ပေါ်မှာ မ စား ၊ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး ကိုးကွယ်သော ရုပ်တု တို့ကို မ ဖူး မမျှော်၊ သူ့ မယား ကိုမ ပြစ်မှား ၊
That son does not eat upon the mountains, and he does not lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, and he does not defile his neighbor's wife, what can be said about him?
16 ၁၆ အဘယ်သူ ကိုမျှ မ ညှဉ်းဆဲ ၊ ပေါင် ထားသော ဥစ္စာကိုမ သိမ်း ၊ သူ့ဥစ္စာ ကို အနိုင်အထက် မ လုမယူ၊ ငတ်မွတ် သောသူကို ကျွေးမွေး ခြင်း၊ အဝတ် မရှိသော သူကိုအဝတ် နှင့်ဖုံးလွှမ်း ခြင်း၊
That son does not oppress anyone, or seize a pledge, or take stolen things, but instead gives his food to the hungry and covers up the naked with clothes.
17 ၁၇ ဆင်းရဲ သော သူကိုချမ်းသာ ပေးခြင်း၊ အတိုး မ စား ဘဲငွေချေးခြင်းကို ပြု၍ငါ စီရင် ထုံးဖွဲ့ချက်တို့ကို စောင့်ရှောက် လျှင်၊ ထိုသူ သည်အဘ ၏ အပြစ် ကြောင့် အသေ ခံရမည်မ ဟုတ်။ စင်စစ်အသက်ရှင် ရလိမ့်မည်။
That son does not oppress anyone or take interest that is too high or make too much profit for a loan, but he carries out my decrees and walks according to my statutes; that son will not die for his father's sin: He will surely live!
18 ၁၈ အဘ မူကား၊ မိမိညီအစ်ကို ကိုအထပ်ထပ်ညှဉ်းဆဲ လျက်၊ သူ့ဥစ္စာကို အနိုင်အထက် လုယူလျက် ၊ မိမိ အမျိုးသား ချင်းတို့တွင် မကောင်း သော အမှုကိုပြု သောအပြစ်ကြောင့် ၊ အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရမည်။
His father, since he oppressed others by extortion and robbed his brother, and did what is not good among his people—behold, he will die in his iniquity.
19 ၁၉ သင်တို့ကလည်း ၊ အဘယ်သို့ နည်း။ သား သည် အဘ ၏ အပြစ် ကို မ ခံရ သလောဟု မေး ကြသော်၊ သား သည် တရား သောအမှု၊ ဟုတ်မှန် သောအမှုကိုပြု ၍၊ ငါ စီရင် ထုံးဖွဲ့သမျှ အတိုင်း ကျင့် စောင့်လျှင်၊ စင်စစ်အသက်ရှင် ရလိမ့်မည်။
But you say, 'Why does the son not bear the iniquity of his father?' Because the son carries out justice and righteousness and keeps all my statutes; he does them. He will surely live!
20 ၂၀ ပြစ်မှား သောသူသည် အသေ ခံရမည်။ သား သည် အဘ ၏အပြစ် ကိုမ ခံရ ။ အဘ သည် သား ၏အပြစ် ကို မ ခံရ ။ တရား သောသူသည် တရား စွာပြုခြင်းအကျိုး ကို၎င်း၊ မတရား သောသူသည် မတရား စွာပြုခြင်း အပြစ်ကို၎င်းခံရ လိမ့်မည်။
The one who sins, he is the one who will die. A son will not bear his father's iniquity, and a father will not bear his son's iniquity. The righteousness of the one who acts rightly will be on himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be on himself.
21 ၂၁ သို့ရာတွင် ၊ မတရား သောသူသည် မိမိ ပြုမိသမျှ သော ဒုစရိုက် တို့ကို ကြဉ်ရှောင် လျက်၊ ငါ စီရင် ထုံးဖွဲ့သမျှ တို့ ကို စောင့်ရှောက် ၍ ၊ တရား သောအမှု၊ ဟုတ်မှန် သော အမှုတို့ကိုပြုလျှင်၊ သေ ခြင်းနှင့်လွတ် ၍ စင်စစ်အသက်ရှင် ရလိမ့်မည်။
But if the wicked turns away from all his sins that he has done, and keeps all my statutes and performs justice and righteousness, then he will certainly live and not die.
22 ၂၂ ပြု မိသမျှ သော ဒုစရိုက် အပြစ်တို့ကို သူ တဘက် ၌ မ မှတ် ရ။ ပြု မိသောဖြောင့်မတ် ခြင်းအမှုကြောင့် အသက်ရှင် ရလိမ့်မည်။
All the transgressions that he has committed will not be called to mind against him. He will live by the righteousness that he practices.
23 ၂၃ မတရား သောသူသည်မိမိ အကျင့် တို့ကိုရှောင် ၍ အသက် မ ရှင်၊ အသေခံ ခြင်းအမှု၌ ငါသည်အနည်းငယ်သော ပျော်မွေ့ ခြင်းရှိသလော။
Do I greatly rejoice over the death of the wicked—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration—and not in his turning away from his way so that he may live?
24 ၂၄ သို့ရာတွင် ၊ တရား သောသူသည်ဖောက်ပြန် ၍ ၊ အဓမ္မ အမှုကို၎င်း ၊ မတရား သောသူပြု သမျှ သော စက်ဆုပ် ရွံ့ရှာဘွယ်အမှုတို့ကို၎င်းပြု လျှင် ၊ အသက်ရှင် ရမည်လော။ အရင်ပြု သမျှ သော ဖြောင့်မတ် ခြင်းအမှုတို့ကို မ မှတ် ၊ သူသည် လွန်ကျူး သောအမှု၊ ပြစ်မှား သော အပြစ် ကြောင့် အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရလိမ့်မည်။
But if the righteous person turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity and practices abominations like all the abominations that the wicked person does, then will he live? All the righteousness that he had done will not be called to mind when he betrays me in his treason. So he will die in the sins that he committed.
25 ၂၅ သို့သော်လည်း သင်တို့က၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား စီရင်ချက် မ ဖြောင့် ဟု ဆို ကြသည်တကား။ အိုဣသရေလ အမျိုး ၊ ငါ စီရင်ချက် သည် ဖြောင့် ၍၊ သင် တို့စီရင်ချက် ကောက် သည် မ ဟုတ်လော။
But you say, 'The way of the Lord is not fair!' Listen, house of Israel! Are my ways unfair? Is it not your ways that are unfair?
26 ၂၆ တရား သောသူသည်တရား သောအမှုကိုပယ် ၍ အဓမ္မ အမှုကို ပြု လျှင် ၊ ထိုအမှု ကြောင့် သေ ရမည်။ ပြု မိသော အဓမ္မ အမှုကြောင့် အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံရမည်။
When the righteous man turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity and dies because of them, then he will die in the iniquity that he has done.
27 ၂၇ ထိုအတူ၊ မတရား သောသူသည် မိမိပြု မိသော အဓမ္မ အမှုကို ရှောင် ၍၊ တရား သောအမှု၊ ဟုတ်မှန် သော အမှုကိုပြု လျှင်၊ မိမိ အသက် ကို ကယ်နှုတ် ရလိမ့်မည်။
But when a wicked man turns away from his wickedness that he has done and performs justice and righteousness, then he will preserve his life.
28 ၂၈ ပြု မိသမျှ သော အဓမ္မ အမှုတို့ကို ဆင်ခြင် ၍ ရှောင် သောကြောင့် ၊ သေ ခြင်းနှင့်လွတ် ၍ စင်စစ်အသက်ရှင် ရလိမ့်မည်။
For he has seen and turned away from all the transgressions that he had done. He will surely live, and he will not die.
29 ၂၉ သို့သော်လည်း ဣသရေလ အမျိုး က၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား စီရင်ချက် မ ဖြောင့် ဟု ဆို ကြသည်တကား။ အိုဣသရေလ အမျိုး ၊ ငါ စီရင်ချက် သည် ဖြောင့် ၍၊ သင် တို့စီရင်ချက် ကောက် သည် မ ဟုတ်လော။
But the house of Israel says, 'The way of the Lord is not fair!' How is my way not fair, house of Israel? It is your ways that are not fair.
30 ၃၀ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ၊ အိုဣသရေလ အမျိုး ၊ သင် တို့အသီးအသီး ကျင့် ကြသည်အတိုင်း အကျိုးအပြစ်ကိုငါစီရင် မည်။ သင်တို့သည် အဓမ္မ အမှုရှိသမျှ တို့ကို စွန့်ပစ် ၍ ပြောင်းလဲ ကြလော့။ ပြောင်းလဲကြလော့။ ဒုစရိုက် အပြစ်ကြောင့် ထိမိ ၍ ဆုံးခြင်းသို့မ ရောက် ကြနှင့်။
Therefore I will judge each man among you according to his ways, house of Israel!—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration. Repent and turn away from all your transgressions so that they will not be stumbling blocks of iniquity against you.
31 ၃၁ သင် တို့သည် ပြု သမျှ သော လွန်ကျူး ခြင်းအမှု တို့ကို စွန့်ပစ် ၍ အသစ် သောနှလုံး ၊ အသစ် သောစိတ် သဘောကို ပြင်ဆင် ကြလော့။ အိုဣသရေလ အမျိုး ၊ သင်တို့သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့် အသေ သတ်ခြင်းကိုခံလိုသနည်း။
Throw away from yourselves all of the transgressions that you have committed; make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why should you die, house of Israel?
32 ၃၂ အသေ ခံရသောသူ ၏ အသေခံ ခြင်းအမှု၌ ငါသည် ပျော်မွေ့ ခြင်းမ ရှိ။ ထိုကြောင့် ၊ ပြောင်းလဲ ၍ အသက်ရှင် ကြလော့ဟု အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူ ၏။
For I have no delight in the death of the one who dies—this is the Lord Yahweh's declaration—so repent and live!”
