အာမုတ် 7

1 ၁ တဖန် အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ့ အား ပြ တော်မူသောရူပါရုံဟူမူကား၊ ရှင်ဘုရင် ဆိုင်သော မြက်ပင် ကိုရိတ် ပြီးမှ ၊ နောက် မြက်ပင် ပေါက် စ ကာလ၌ ကျိုင်းကောင် တို့ကို ဖန်ဆင်း တော်မူ၏။

Thus the Lord Jehovah showed me: and, behold, he formed locusts in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king’s mowings.

2 ၂ ထိုကျိုင်းကောင်တို့သည် တပြည်လုံး ၌ရှိ သောမြက်ပင် ကိုစား ၍ ကုန် ပြီးမှငါက၊ အိုအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား ၊ အပြစ် မှ လွတ်တော်မူပါ။ ယာကုပ် သည် ငယ် သောကြောင့် ၊ အဘယ်သို့ ထ ရပါလိမ့်မည်နည်းဟု လျှောက် သော် ၊

And it came to pass that, when they made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord Jehovah, forgive, I beseech thee: how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.

3 ၃ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် နောင်တရ ၍၊ ဤသို့ မ ဖြစ် ရဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။

Jehovah repented concerning this: It shall not be, saith Jehovah.

4 ၄ တဖန် အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် ငါ့ အားပြ တော်မူသောရူပါရုံဟူမူကား ၊ မီး ဖြင့် ဒဏ်ပေး ခြင်းငှါ မီးကို ခေါ် တော်မူ၍၊ မဟာ သမုဒ္ဒရာ ကို မီးလောင် လေ၏။ ကုန်း ကိုလည်း လောင် လေ၏။

Thus the Lord Jehovah showed me: and, behold, the Lord Jehovah called to contend by fire; and it devoured the great deep, and would have eaten up the land.

5 ၅ ငါကလည်း၊ အိုအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား ၊ ဆိုင်း တော်မူပါ။ ယာကုပ် သည် ငယ် သောကြောင့် အဘယ်သို့ ထ ရ ပါလိမ့်မည်နည်းဟု လျှောက် သော် ၊

Then said I, O Lord Jehovah, cease, I beseech thee: how shall Jacob stand? for he is small.

6 ၆ အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား သည် နောင်တရ ၍၊ ဤသို့ မ ဖြစ် ရဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။

Jehovah repented concerning this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord Jehovah.

7 ၇ တဖန် ပြ တော်မူသောရူပါရုံဟူမူကား၊ ချိန်ကြိုး ချ၍ လုပ်သော ကျောက်ရိုး ပေါ်မှာ ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည် ရပ် လျက်၊ လက် တော်၌ ချိန်ကြိုး ကို ကိုင်လျက်၊

Thus he showed me: and, behold, the Lord stood beside a wall made by a plumb-line, with a plumb-line in his hand.

8 ၈ အာမုတ် ၊ သင် သည် အဘယ် အရာကို မြင် သနည်းဟုမေး တော်မူလျှင် ၊ ချိန်ကြိုး ကို မြင် ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက် သော် ၊ ဘုရား ရှင်က၊ ငါ ၏လူ ဣသရေလ အမျိုး အလယ် ၌ ချိန်ကြိုး ကို ငါ ချ မည်။ နောက် တဖန် သူ တို့ကို သည်း မ ခံ။

And Jehovah said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumb-line. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumb-line in the midst of my people Israel; I will not again pass by them any more;

9 ၉ ဣဇာက် ၏မြင့်ရာ အရပ်တို့သည် လူဆိတ်ညံလျက် ၊ ဣသရေလ ၏ သန့်ရှင်း ရာအရပ်တို့သည် သုတ်သင် ပယ်ရှင်းလျက်ရှိကြလိမ့်မည်။ ယေရောဗောင် မင်းမျိုး ကိုလည်း ထား နှင့် ငါတိုက် မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

and the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword.

10 ၁၀ ထိုအခါ ဗေသလ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အာမဇိ သည် ဣသရေလ ရှင်ဘုရင် ယေရောဗောင် ထံသို့ စေလွှတ် ၍၊ အာမုတ် သည် ဣသရေလ အမျိုး အလယ် တွင် ကိုယ်တော် တဘက် ၌ မကောင်း သောအကြံကို ကြံစည်ပါပြီ။ သူ ၏ စကား အလုံးစုံ တို့ကို ပြည် တော်သည် မ ခံ နိုင် ပါ။

Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words.

11 ၁၁ ယေရောဗောင် သည် ထား ဖြင့် သေ ရလိမ့်မည်။ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့သည် နေရင်းပြည် မှ ဆက်ဆက်နှင် သွားခြင်းကိုခံရကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ အာမုတ် ဆို တတ်ပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။

For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.

12 ၁၂ အာမုတ် ကို လည်း ခေါ် ၍၊ အိုပရောဖက် ၊ ယုဒ ပြည် သို့ ပြေး သွားလော့။ ထို ပြည်မှာ ပရောဖက် ပြု၍ အသက် မွေးလော့။

Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thou away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:

13 ၁၃ နောက် တဖန်ဗေသလ မြို့တဘက် ၌ ပရောဖက် မ ပြု နှင့်။ ရှင်ဘုရင် ၏ သန့်ရှင်း ရာဌာနတော် ဖြစ်၏။ နန်းတော် တည်ရာမြို့ လည်း ဖြစ်၏ဟု ဆိုလျှင်၊

but prophesy not again any more at Beth-el; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house.

14 ၁၄ အာမုတ် က၊ ငါ သည် ပရောဖက် မ ဟုတ်၊ ပရောဖက် ၏သား လည်း မ ဟုတ်ဘဲ၊ နွား ကျောင်းသောသူ၊ သဖန်း သီးကို ဆွတ် သောသူဖြစ်စဉ်အခါ၊

Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was a herdsman, and a dresser of sycomore-trees:

15 ၁၅ ထာဝရဘုရား သည် နွား ကျောင်း ရာမှ ငါ့ ကို နှုတ်ယူ ၍၊ သင်သွား လော့။ ငါ ၏လူ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးတွင် ပရောဖက် ပြုလော့ဟု မိန့် တော်မူ၏။

and Jehovah took me from following the flock, and Jehovah said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

16 ၁၆ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏အမိန့် တော်ကို နားထောင် လော့။ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးတဘက် ၌ ပရောဖက် မ ပြုနှင့်၊ ဣဇာက် အမျိုး တဘက် ၌ မ မြွက် နှင့်ဟု သင် ဆို သော်၊

Now therefore hear thou the word of Jehovah: Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not [thy word] against the house of Isaac;

17 ၁၇ ထာဝရဘုရား မိန့် တော်မူသည်ကား ၊ သင် ၏ မယား သည် ပြည်တန်ဆာ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ သင် ၏သား သမီး တို့သည် ထား ဖြင့် သေ ကြလိမ့်မည်။ သူတပါးတို့သည် သင် ၏မြေ ကို ကြိုးတန်း ချ၍ ဝေဖန် ကြလိမ့်မည်။ သင်သည် ညစ်ညူး သော ပြည် ၌ သေ ရလိမ့်မည်။ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသည် နေရင်းပြည် မှ ဆက်ဆက်နှင် သွားခြင်းကို ခံရကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ အာမဇိအား ဆင့်ဆိုလေ၏။

therefore thus saith Jehovah: Thy wife shall be a harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou thyself shalt die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.
