တမန်တော်ဝတ္ထု 16
1 ၁ ထိုနောက်မှပေါလုသည် ဒေရဗေ မြို့နှင့် လုတ္တရ မြို့သို့ ရောက် လေ၏။ လုတ္တရ မြို့၌ တိမောသေ အမည် ရှိသော တပည့် တော်တစ် ယောက်ရှိ ၏။ သူ၏ အမိကား၊ ယုံကြည် သောယုဒ မိန်းမဖြစ်၏။ အဘ ကား၊ ဟေလသ လူဖြစ်၏။
THEN he came to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold! a certain disciple was there, named Timothy, the son of a certain Jewish woman, who believed; but his father was a Greek:
who was highly spoken of by the brethren at Lystra and Iconium.
3 ၃ ပေါလု သည် ထိုသူ ကိုခေါ်ခြင်းငှာအလိုရှိ ၍၊ သူ ၏အဘ သည် ဟေလသ လူဖြစ် သည်ကိုထို အရပ် တို့၌ ရှိ သောယုဒ လူအပေါင်း တို့သည် သိ သောကြောင့် ၊ အရေဖျားလှီး ခြင်းကို သူ့အားပေး လေ၏။
Him Paul resolved to take out with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places: for they all knew his father, that he was a Greek.
4 ၄ သူတို့သည် မြို့ များကို ရှောက်သွား စဉ် တွင်၊ ယေရုရှလင် မြို့၌ နေသောတမန်တော် တို့နှင့် သင်းအုပ် တို့သည် စီရင် သောပညတ် တို့ကို အသင်း များ ကျင့်စောင့် ဘို့ရာအပ်ပေး ကြ၏။
So as they passed through the cities, they delivered to them for their observance the ordinances decreed by the apostles and presbyters that were at Jerusalem.
5 ၅ ထိုသို့ အသင်းတော် တို့သည် ယုံကြည် ခြင်း၌ တည်ကြည် မြဲမြံသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အရေအတွက် အားဖြင့် တစ်နေ့ထက်တစ်နေ့တိုးပွား များပြားကြ၏။
Then were the churches established truly in the faith, and increased in number daily.
6 ၆ ဖြူဂိ ပြည်၊ ဂလာတိ ပြည် ကို ရှောက်သွား ပြီးမှ အာရှိ ပြည်၌ နှုတ်ကပတ် တရားတော်ကို မဟော စေခြင်းငှာသန့်ရှင်း သော ဝိညာဉ် တော်သည်မြစ်တား တော်မူသဖြင့်၊
So passing through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, being forbidden by the Holy Ghost to speak the word in Asia,
7 ၇ မုသိ ပြည်သို့ ရောက် ၍ ၊ ဗိသုန် ပြည်သို့ သွား မည်ပြု ကြစဉ်၊ ဝိညာဉ် တော်သည် အခွင့် ပေးတော်မ မူသောကြောင့် ၊
coming as far as Mysia, they made an effort to go unto Bythinia: but the Spirit permitted them not.
Whereupon passing by Mysia they went down to Troas.
9 ၉ ညဉ့် အခါ ပေါလု သည် ဗျာဒိတ် ရူပါရုံကိုမြင် ရ၍၊ မာကေဒေါနိ လူ တစ် ယောက်က၊ မာကေဒေါနိ ပြည်သို့ ကူး ပါ။ ငါ တို့ကိုမစ ပါဟုရပ် လျက် တောင်းပန် ၏။
And a vision by night appeared to Paul; a certain man, a Macedonian, stood by him, entreating him, and saying, Pass over into Macedonia, and help us.
10 ၁၀ ထို ဗျာဒိတ်ရူပါရုံကို မြင် ရလျှင် ၊ မာကေဒေါနိ ပြည်၌ ဧဝံဂေလိ တရားကို ဟောစေခြင်းငှာသခင် ဘုရားသည် ငါ တို့ကိုခေါ် တော်မူသည်ဟု ငါတို့သဘောကျသဖြင့်၊ ထိုပြည်သို့သွား ခြင်းငှာချက်ခြင်း ရှာကြံ ကြ၏။
But when he saw the vision, immediately we sought to go forth into Macedonia, concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the gospel to them.
11 ၁၁ ထိုကြောင့်၊ တရော မြို့မှ သင်္ဘောလွှင့် ၍ သာမောသရက် ကျွန်းသို့ တည့်တည့် သွားသဖြင့်၊ နက်ဖြန် နေ့၌ နာပေါလိ မြို့သို့ ရောက်ကြ၏။
Therefore sailing from Troas, we came in a direct course to Samothrace, and the next day to Neapolis;
12 ၁၂ ထိုမြို့ မှထွက်ပြန်လျှင် မင်းမှုလွတ်သော မြို့ တည်းဟူသောမာကေဒေါနိ ပြည်တ ပိုင်းကို အစိုးရ သော ဖိလိပ္ပိ မြို့သို့ ရောက်၍ ကာလ အတန် အရာနေ ကြ၏။
and from thence to Philippi, which is the first city in that part of Macedonia, and a colony: and we abode in that city some days.
13 ၁၃ ဥပုသ်နေ့ ၌ ငါတို့သည် မြို့ပြင် သို့ထွက် လျှင်၊ ပဌနာ စရပ် ရှိ တတ်ရာမြစ် နား သို့သွား၍ ထိုင် ပြီးမှ၊ ထိုအရပ်၌စည်းဝေး သော မိန်းမ တို့အားဟောပြော ကြ၏။
And on the sabbath-day we went forth out of the city to the river side, where an oratory was by custom established; and sitting down, we spoke to the women who there assembled.
14 ၁၄ ထိုအခါ နီမောင်းသောအထည်အလိပ် ကို ရောင်းသော သွာတိရဲ မြို့သူ လုဒိ အမည် ရှိသော မိန်းမ တစ် ယောက်သည် ဘုရားသခင် ကို ကိုးကွယ် သောသူဖြစ်၍၊ တရားနာ စဉ်တွင် ပေါလု ဟောပြော သော အရာ ကို မှီဝဲဆည်းကပ်စေခြင်းငှာသူ ၏စိတ်နှလုံး ကို သခင် ဘုရားဖွင့် တော်မူ၏။
And a certain woman, Lydia by name, a seller of purple, from the city of Thyatira, a worshipper of God, hearkened: whose heart the Lord thoroughly opened, to attend to the words spoken by Paul.
15 ၁၅ ထိုမိန်းမသည်အိမ်သူ အိမ်သားတို့နှင့်တကွ ဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ခံပြီးမှ၊ ကျွန်မ သည် သခင် ဘုရား၌ အမှန် ယုံကြည် သည်ကို သင်တို့သည် ထင်မှတ် လျှင် ၊ ကျွန်မ အိမ် သို့ ဝင် ၍ နေ ကြပါဟုတောင်းပန် လျက် ငါ တို့ကို အနိုင် သွေးဆောင် လေ၏။
So when she was baptised, and her house, she entreated, saying, Since ye have judged that I am faithful to the Lord, come and abide at my house. And she constrained us.
16 ၁၆ ထိုနောက်မှငါ တို့သည် ပဌနာ စရပ်သို့ သွား စဉ်တွင် နတ်ဝင် ဖြစ် ၍ အနာဂတ်ကိုဟော သဖြင့်၊ မိမိ သခင် တို့အား စီးပွား များ ကို ပြု တတ်သော မိန်းမငယ်တစ် ယောက်သည် ငါ တို့ကိုဆီးကြို လေ၏။
Now it happened as we were going to the oratory, a certain damsel having a pythonic spirit met us, who produced for her masters much gain as a fortuneteller:
17 ၁၇ ထိုမိန်းမငယ်သည် ပေါလု နှင့် ငါ တို့နောက် သို့ လိုက်၍၊ ဤသူ တို့ကား အကျွတ် တရားလမ်း ကို ငါတို့အား ဟောပြော ပြသသော အမြင့်ဆုံး သော ဘုရားသခင် ၏ ကျွန် ဖြစ် ကြ၏ဟု ဟစ်ကြော် လေ၏။
she following Paul and us, cried out, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, who preach to you the way of salvation.
18 ၁၈ ထိုသို့ အဖန်များစွာ ပြု သောကြောင့် ပေါလု သည် စိတ်မသာ လျက်လှည့်ကြည့် ၍ ၊ သင် သည်သူ ၏ အထဲ မှထွက်သွား လော့။ ယေရှု ခရစ် ၏နာမ တော်ကို အမှီပြု ၍ ငါအမိန့် ရှိ၏ဟု ထိုနတ် ကိုဆို သောခဏခြင်းတွင် နတ်သည်ထွက်သွား ၏။
And this she did for several days. Then Paul was wearied out, and turning, said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out that very hour.
19 ၁၉ သူ ၏သခင် တို့သည် နောက်တဖန် စီးပွား ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု မြော်လင့် စရာအကြောင်း မရှိသည်ကို သိမြင် လျှင်၊ ပေါလု နှင့် သိလ တို့ကို ဘမ်းဆီး ဆွဲငင် ၍ ရုံးတော်သို့ ပို့ကြ၏။
But when her masters saw that the hope of their gain was gone, they laid hold on Paul and Silas, and dragged them into the forum before the chief rulers,
20 ၂၀ စစ်ကဲ မင်းထံသို့ရောက် သောအခါ ဤ သူ တို့သည် ယုဒ လူဖြစ် လျက် ငါ တို့မြို့ ကို နှောင့်ရှက် တတ်ပါ၏။
and presenting them to the magistrates, they said, These are the men that exceedingly disturb the peace of our city, being Jews,
21 ၂၁ ရောမ လူဖြစ် သောငါ တို့သည် မ ခံ မယူ မကျင့် အပ်သော ဘာသာ ထုံးတမ်းများကို ဟောပြော သွန်သင်တတ်ပါ၏ ဟုလျှောက်ဆို ကြလျှင်၊
and enjoin customs which it is not lawful for us to receive, or to practise, being Romans.
22 ၂၂ စုဝေး သောလူတို့သည် သူ တို့တစ်ဘက် ၌ တပြိုင်နက် ထကြ၏။ စစ်ကဲ မင်းတို့လည်း သူ တို့၏ အဝတ် ကိုချွတ် ၍ကြိမ်လုံးနှင့်ရိုက် စေခြင်းငှာစီရင် ကြ၏။
And the populace stood up together against them: and the magistrates, after having had their garments torn from their backs, commanded them to be beaten with rods.
23 ၂၃ ရိုက် ၍ဒဏ်ချက်များရှိပြီးမှ၊ လုံခြုံ စွာ စောင့် စေ ဟု ထောင်မှူး ကို မှာ လိုက်၍ ထောင် ထဲမှာ လှောင် ထား ကြ၏။
And laying on them many stripes, cast them into prison, commanding the jailor to keep them in safe custody:
who, receiving such an injunction, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.
25 ၂၅ သန်းခေါင် အချိန်၌ ပေါလု နှင့် သိလ တို့သည် ပဌနာ ပြု၍ ဘုရားသခင် ကို ချီးမွမ်း လျက်သီချင်း ဆိုလေ၏။ ထောင် ထဲမှာနှောင်ဖွဲ့ခြင်း ကိုခံရသော သူ တို့သည် နားထောင် ကြ၏။
But about midnight Paul and Silas, after joining in prayer, sang hymns to God: and the prisoners heard them.
26 ၂၆ ထို ခဏခြင်း တွင် မြေကြီး သည်ပြင်းစွာ လှုပ်သောကြောင့် ထောင် ခြေ ရင်းလည်းလှုပ်ရှား ၏။ တံခါး ရှိသမျှ တို့သည် ချက်ခြင်း ပွင့် ၍ လူအပေါင်း တို့သည် နှောင်ဖွဲ့ ခြင်းနှင့်လွတ် ကြ၏။
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the very foundations of the prison were shaken: and instantly all the doors flew open, and every man’s chains were loosed.
27 ၂၇ ထောင်မှူး သည်နိုး ၍ ထောင် တံခါး များ ပွင့် လျက်ရှိ သည်ကို မြင် လျှင်၊ နှောင်ဖွဲ့ ခြင်းကို ခံရသောသူ တို့သည် ထွက်ပြေး ကြပြီဟုထင်မှတ် သည်နှင့်၊ ဓား ကို အိမ်မှဆွဲထုတ် ၍ ကိုယ် အသက်ကိုသတ် မည် ပြု လေ၏။
Then the jailor being roused from sleep, and seeing the doors of the prison open, drew his sword, going to destroy himself, supposing the prisoners had escaped.
28 ၂၈ ပေါလု ကလည်း၊ ကိုယ် ကိုအပြစ် မ ပြု နှင့်။ ငါတို့ အပေါင်း သည် ရှိ ကြ၏ဟုကြီး သောအသံ နှင့် ဟစ် ၍ ပြောဆို ၏။
But Paul called out with a loud voice, saying, Do thyself no injury: for we are all here.
29 ၂၉ ထောင်မှူးသည် ညှိထွန်းသောမီး ကို တောင်း ပြီးမှ ပြေး ဝင်၍၊ ပေါလု နှင့် သိလ တို့၏ခြေရင်း၌ တုန်လှုပ် လျက် ပြပ်ဝပ် လေ၏။
Thereupon calling for a light, he rushed in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas;
30 ၃၀ သူ တို့ကို ပြင် သို့ထုတ် ပြီးလျှင်လည်း ၊ သခင် တို့၊ အကျွန်ုပ် သည် ကယ်တင် ခြင်းသို့ရောက်အံ့သောငှာ အဘယ်သို့ ပြု ရ ပါမည်နည်းဟု မေးလျှောက် လေ၏။
and having first brought them out, said, Sirs! what must I do to be saved?
31 ၃၁ ထိုသူတို့ကလည်း ၊ သခင် ယေရှု ခရစ်ကို ယုံကြည် လော့။ ယုံကြည်လျှင်သင် နှင့် သင် ၏အိမ်သူ အိမ်သားတို့သည် ကယ်တင် ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု ပြောဆို လျက်၊
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, thou, and thy house.
And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all who were in his house.
33 ၃၃ ထို ညဉ့် ၊ ထိုအချိန် နာရီ၌ ပင်၊ ထောင်မှူးသည် ပေါလု နှင့်သိလ တို့ကိုယူ ၍ဒဏ်ချက်ရာ များကို ဆေးကြော ပြီးလျှင်၊ မိမိ လူအပေါင်း တို့နှင့်တကွဗတ္တိဇံ ကို ချက်ခြင်း ခံလေ၏။
And taking them that same hour of the night, he washed their stripes; and was baptised, himself and all who belonged to him immediately.
34 ၃၄ တဖန် ပေါလု နှင့် သိလတို့ကို မိမိအိမ် သို့ ခေါ်ပင့် ပြီးမှသူတို့ကို လုပ်ကျွေး ၍ ၊ ဘုရားသခင် ကို ယုံကြည် လျက် အိမ်သူ အိမ်သားအပေါင်းတို့နှင့်တကွဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းသို့ရောက်လေ၏။
And when he had brought them into his house, he spread the table, and greatly rejoiced with all his household, believing in God.
35 ၃၅ နံနက် ရောက် သောအခါ စစ်ကဲ တို့သည် ရုံး လုလင်တို့ကို စေလွှတ် ၍၊ ထို လူ တို့ကို လွှတ် စေ ဟုမှာ လိုက်ကြ၏။
But when it was day, the magistrates sent the lictors, saying, Set those men at large.
36 ၃၆ ထို စကားကိုထောင်မှူး သည် ပေါလု အား ကြားပြော ၍၊ ကိုယ်တော်တို့ကို လွှတ် စေခြင်းငှာ စစ်ကဲ တို့သည် စေလွှတ် ကြပါပြီ။ ထိုကြောင့် ယခု ထွက် ၍ ငြိမ်ဝပ် စွာ ကြွသွား တော်မူကြပါဟု လျှောက်လျှင်၊
Then the jailor told these words to Paul, That the magistrates had sent to set them at liberty: now therefore, said he, get ye out, and pursue your journey in peace.
37 ၃၇ ပေါလု က၊ ရောမ လူ ဖြစ် သော ငါ တို့ကို ဓမ္မသတ်အတိုင်း မစီရင်ဘဲလျက်၊ စစ်ကဲတို့သည် ထင်ရှား စွာ ရိုက် ၍ ထောင် ထဲမှာ လှောင် ထားပြီးမှ၊ တိတ်ဆိတ် စွာနှင်ထုတ် ကြမည်လော။ ထိုသို့မ ပြု သင့်။ ကိုယ်တိုင် လာ ၍ ငါ တို့ကို နှုတ်ယူ ကြစေဟု ရုံးလုလင် တို့ အားပြောဆို ၏။
But Paul said to them, They have beaten us publicly, uncondemned, men that are Roman citizens, and have cast us into prison; and would they now clandestinely send us away? no, verily; but let them come themselves and fetch us out.
38 ၃၈ ထို စကား ကိုရုံး လုလင်တို့သည် စစ်ကဲ တို့အား ကြားလျှောက် ၍ ၊ ပေါလုနှင့်သိလတို့သည် ရောမ လူ ဖြစ် ကြောင်းကို စစ်ကဲတို့သည် ကြားသိ သောအခါကြောက် ခြင်းသို့ရောက်၍၊
Then the lictors reported all these words to the magistrates: and they were terrified, when they heard they were Roman citizens.
39 ၃၉ ကိုယ်တိုင် လာ ပြီးလျှင် ချော့မော့ သောစကားနှင့် သူတို့ကို နှုတ်ယူ ၍၊ ထိုမြို့ မှ ထွက်သွား ပါမည် အကြောင်း တောင်းပန် ကြ၏။
So they came and spoke kindly to them, and fetching them out, besought them to depart from the city.
40 ၄၀ ထိုအခါပေါလုနှင့် သိလတို့သည် ထောင် မှ ထွက် ၍ လုဒိ အိမ်သို့ ဝင် သဖြင့်၊ ညီအစ်ကို များကို တွေ့မြင် ၍ သက်သာ စေပြီးမှ ထွက်သွား ကြ၏။
Then leaving the prison, they went unto Lydia: and when they had seen the brethren, they comforted them, and went their way.
