၃ ယောဟန် 1

1 ၁ အသက်ကြီး သူ သည်ချစ် အပ်သောဂါယု ကိုကြားလိုက်၏။ ငါ သည်သင်၌ မှန်ကန် သောချစ် ခြင်းမေတ္တာရှိ၏။

THE elder unto the wellbeloved Gaius, whom I love in the truth.

2 ၂ အချင်းချစ်သူ ၊ သင် ၏စိတ် နှလုံးသည် ကောင်းစား သကဲ့သို့ ၊ သင် သည်အရာရာ ၌ကောင်းစား ခြင်းနှင့် ကျန်းမာ ခြင်းရှိမည်အကြောင်း ငါဆုတောင်း ၏။

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

3 ၃ သင် သည်သမ္မာတရား ၌ ကျင်လည် သည်အတိုင်း သင် ၌ရှိသောသမ္မာတရား ၏အကြောင်းကို ညီအစ်ကို တို့သည်လာ ၍ သက်သေခံ ကြသောအခါ ၊ ငါသည် အလွန် ဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းရှိ၏။

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.

4 ၄ ငါ ၏သားသမီး တို့သည် သမ္မာတရား ၌ ကျင်လည် သည်ကို ငါကြား ၍ ဝမ်းမြောက် ခြင်းထက် သာ၍ ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းမ ရှိ ။

I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.

5 ၅ အချင်းချစ်သူ ၊ သင်သည်ညီအစ်ကို တို့အား၎င်း၊ အာဂန္တု တို့အား၎င်း ပြု သမျှသောဝတ်တို့ကို သစ္စာ နှင့်အညီပြု တတ်၏။

Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;

6 ၆ ထိုသူ တို့သည် သင် ၏ချစ် ခြင်းမေတ္တာအကြောင်းကို အသင်းတော် ရှေ့ ၌ သက်သေခံ ကြ၏။ သင်သည်ထိုသူ တို့ကို ဘုရားသခင် ၏ အလိုတော်နှင့်အညီပို့ လိုက်ပြန်လျှင်၊ ကောင်း သောအမှုကိုပြု လိမ့်မည်။

Which have borne witness of thy charity before the church: whom if thou bring forward on their journey after a godly sort, thou shalt do well:

7 ၇ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ထိုသူတို့သည် နာမ တော်ကိုထောက် ၍၊ သာသနာပ လူတို့တွင် အလှူ မ ခံဘဲသွား ကြ၏။

Because that for his name’s sake they went forth, taking nothing of the Gentiles.

8 ၈ ငါ တို့သည် သမ္မာတရား ကို ကူမ သောသူ ဖြစ် အံ့သောငှာ ၊ ထိုသို့သော သူတို့အား ဧည့်သည် ဝတ်ကို ပြုအပ် ကြ၏။

We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.

9 ၉ အသင်းတော် ထံသို့မှာစာကိုငါရေး ၍ ပေးလိုက်လေပြီ။ သို့သော်လည်း ၊ အကဲအမှူး လုပ်ချင်သော ဒယောတရပ် သည် ငါ တို့အားအခွင့် မ ပေး။

I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

10 ၁၀ ထိုကြောင့် ၊ ငါလာ သောအခါ သူသည် မိမိပြု သော အမှု ကို မိမိ သတိရ စေခြင်းငှာငါပြုမည်။ ထိုသူ သည်၊ ငြူစူ သောစကား နှင့် ငါ တို့ကို ကဲ့ရဲ့ သည်သာမက ၊ ကဲ့ရဲ့ ခြင်းနှင့် စိတ် မ ပြေဘဲလျက်၊ ညီအစ်ကို တို့ကို ကိုယ်တိုင် လက် မ ခံ၊ လက်ခံ ချင်သောသူ တို့ကိုလည်း မြစ်တား ၍ ၊ အသင်းတော် ထဲက နှင်ထုတ် တတ်၏။

Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church.

11 ၁၁ အချင်းချစ်သူ ၊ မကောင်း သောနည်းကို မ လိုက် နှင့်၊ ကောင်း သောနည်းကိုသာ လိုက်လော့။ ကောင်းသောအကျင့်ကို ကျင့် သောသူ သည် ဘုရားသခင် နှင့်စပ်ဆိုင် ၏ ။ မကောင်းသောအကျင့်ကို ကျင့် သောသူ မူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင် ကို မ သိ မမြင်ရပြီ။

Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

12 ၁၂ လူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ဒေမေတရိ ၏ သက်သေ ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ သမ္မာတရား သည်လည်း သူ ၏ သက်သေဖြစ်၏။ ငါ တို့သည်လည်း ထိုသူဘက်၌ သက်သေခံ ကြ၏။ ငါ တို့၏ သက်သေခံ ခြင်းသည် ဟုတ် မှန် သည်ကို သင်တို့ သိ ကြ၏။

Demetrius hath good report of all men, and of the truth itself: yea, and we also bear record; and ye know that our record is true.

13 ၁၃ ငါ ရေး စရာအကြောင်းအများ ရှိသော်လည်း ၊ မှင် နှင့် မှင်တံ ဖြင့် ရေး ခြင်းငှာအလို မ ရှိ၊

I had many things to write, but I will not with ink and pen write unto thee:

14 ၁၄ မ ကြာမမြင့်မှီသင့် ကို ငါတွေ့မြင် လျှင် အချင်းချင်း နှုတ်ဆက်၍ စကားပြော မည်ဟု မြော်လင့် လျက် နေ၏။ သင် ၌ငြိမ်သက် ခြင်းရှိပါစေသော။ အဆွေ တို့သည် သင့် ကိုနှုတ်ဆက် ကြ၏။ သင်၌ရှိသောအဆွေ တို့၏ နာမည် ကို ထုတ် ၍နှုတ်ဆက် လော့။

But I trust I shall shortly see thee, and we shall speak face to face. Peace be to thee. Our friends salute thee. Greet the friends by name.
