၁ ကောရိန္သု 14
1 ၁ ချစ် ခြင်းမေတ္တာကို မှီအောင်လိုက် ကြလော့။ ဝိညာဉ် ဆုကျေးဇူးတို့ကို အလွန်အလိုရှိ သည်တွင်၊ ပရောဖက် ပြုရသော အခွင့်ကိုသာ၍ လိုချင်သောစိတ်ရှိ ကြလော့။
Pursue love; nevertheless be envious of the spiritual gifts, —and, rather, that ye may be prophesying.
2 ၂ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ အခြား သောဘာသာစကားအားဖြင့်ပြော သောသူ သည် လူ တို့အားမ ပြော ၊ ဘုရားသခင် အားပြော၏။ သူ၏စကားကို အဘယ်သူ မျှနား မလည်။ နက်နဲ သောအရာတို့ကို ဝိညာဉ် တော်အားဖြင့်ပြော ၏။
For, he that speaketh with a tongue, not unto men, doth speak, but, unto God, —for, no one, understandeth, although, in spirit, he is speaking sacred secrets;
3 ၃ ပရောဖက် ပြုသောသူ မူကား ၊ တည်ဆောက် ခြင်း၊ တိုက်တွန်း သွေးဆောင်ခြင်း၊ သက်သာ ခြင်းအလိုငှာ လူ တို့အားဟောပြော ၏။
But, be that prophesieth, unto men, doth speak—edification, and exhortation, and comfort.
4 ၄ အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားအားဖြင့်ပြော သောသူ သည် ကိုယ် ကိုသာ တည်ဆောက် ၏။ ပရောဖက် ပြုသောသူ မူကား ၊ အသင်းတော် ကို တည်ဆောက် ၏။
He that speaketh with a tongue, buildeth up, himself, whereas, he that prophesieth, buildeth up, an assembly.
5 ၅ သင် တို့ရှိသမျှ သည် အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားဖြင့် ပြော စေခြင်းငှာငါအလိုရှိ ၏။ ပရောဖက် ပြုစေခြင်းငှာ သာ၍ အလိုရှိ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ အခြားသော ဘာသာ စကားဖြင့် ပြော သောသူ သည်၊ အသင်းတော် ကို တည်ဆောက် ခြင်းငှာ အနက် ကို မ ဖော်မပြလျှင် ၊ သူ့ထက် ပရောဖက် ပြုသောသူ သည်သာ၍ မြတ်သတည်း။
Howbeit I wish you all to speak with tongues, but, rather, that ye may prophesy, —moreover, greater, is he that prophesieth, than he that speaketh with tongues, —unless indeed he translate, that, the assembly, may receive upbuilding.
6 ၆ ညီအစ်ကို တို့၊ ငါ သည် သင် တို့ရှိရာ သို့လာ၍ အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားဖြင့် ဟောပြော သော်လည်း ၊ ဗျာဒိတ် တော်ကိုပြန်ခြင်း၊ ပညာ အတတ်ကိုသင်ခြင်း၊ ပရောဖက် ပြုခြင်း၊ ဆုံးမ ဩဝါဒပေးခြင်းတစ်ခုခုကိုမ ပြုဘဲ လျက် ၊ သင်တို့အားပြော လျှင် အဘယ်အကျိုး ရှိအံ့နည်း။
But, now, brethren—if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit, you, except I speak, unto you, either by way of revelation, or knowledge, or prophesying, or teaching?
7 ၇ ထိုနည်းတူ၊ အသံမြည် တတ် သော အဝိညာဏက စောင်း၊ ပုလွေ တို့သည် သေချာ သောအသံ နှင့် မ မြည် လျှင် ၊ စောင်း သံ၊ ပုလွေ သံတို့ကို အဘယ်သို့ သိ နိုင်မည်နည်း။
In like manner, the things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, if, a distinction in the sounds, they do not give, how shall it be known, what is being piped or harped?
8 ၈ တံပိုး ခရာသည်လည်း ၊ မမှန် သောအသံ နှင့် မြည် လျှင် ၊ အဘယ်သူ သည်စစ်တိုက် ခြင်းငှာ မိမိကိုယ်ကို ပြင်ဆင် မည်နည်း။
For, if also, an uncertain sound, a trumpet, should give, who shall prepare himself for battle?
9 ၉ ထိုနည်းတူ ၊ သင် တို့သည် နားလည် လွယ်သော စကား ကို နှုတ် ဖြင့် မ မြွက် လျှင် ၊ မြွက် သောစကားကို အဘယ်သို့ သိ နိုင်မည်နည်း။ အာကာသ ကောင်းကင်ကို ပြော သောသူကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။
So, also, ye, through means of the tongue, except ye give intelligible discourse, how shall it be known what is being spoken? for ye will be speaking, to the air.
10 ၁၀ လူ ပြည်၌ ဘာသာ စကားမျိုး တို့သည် ဤမျှလောက် များ၍၊ ရှိသမျှတို့သည် အနက်နှင့်ပြည့်စုံသည် မှန်စေတော့။
There may happen to be so many kinds of languages in the world, and, not one, unspoken: —
11 ၁၁ ဘာသာ စကား၏ အနက် ကို ငါနား မ လည်လျှင် ၊ ပြော သော သူ အားငါသည် လူရိုင်း ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည် ။ ပြော သောသူ သည်လည်း ၊ ငါ့ အား လူရိုင်း ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။
If, then, I do not know the meaning of the language, I shall be, unto him that is speaking, a foreigner, and, he that is speaking, shall be, in my case, a foreigner.
12 ၁၂ သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်တို့သည် ဝိညာဉ် ဆုကျေးဇူးတော်တို့ကို အလွန် အလိုရှိ ကြသည်တွင်၊ အသင်းတော် ကို တည်ဆောက် ခြင်းငှာ ကြွယ်ဝ ပြည့်စုံမည်အကြောင်း ကြိုးစား ကြလော့။
So, ye, also—since ye are, envious, of spirits, unto the upbuilding of the assembly, seek to be pre-eminent.
13 ၁၃ ထိုကြောင့် အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားကို ပြန်ပြော သော သူ သည်၊ အနက် ကိုလည်း ဖော်ပြနိုင်မည် အကြောင်း ဆုတောင်း စေ။
Wherefore, he that speaketh with a tongue, let him pray that he may translate;
14 ၁၄ အဘယ်ကြောင့် နည်းဟူမူကား၊ အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားဖြင့် ငါဆုတောင်း လျှင် ၊ ငါ့ စိတ် နှလုံးဆုတောင်း သော်လည်း ၊ ငါ့ ဉာဏ် သည် အကျိုး ကိုမပေး။
[For], if I am praying in a tongue, my spirit, is praying, but, my mind, is unfruitful.
15 ၁၅ သို့ဖြစ်လျှင် ၊ အဘယ်သို့ ပြု ရမည်နည်း။ စိတ် နှလုံးနှင့် ၎င်း၊ ဉာဏ် နှင့် ၎င်း၊ ဆုတောင်း ရမည်။ စိတ် နှလုံးနှင့် ၎င်း၊ ဉာဏ် နှင့် ၎င်း သီချင်း ဆိုရမည်။
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, but I will pray also with the mind, —I will strike the strings with the spirit, [but] I will strike the strings also with the mind.
16 ၁၆ သို့မဟုတ် သင်သည် စိတ် နှလုံးနှင့် ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းသောအခါ ၊ မတတ် သော လူစုအဝင်ဖြစ်သော သူ သည် သင်၏စကား ကို နား မ လည်သောကြောင့် ၊ ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းခြင်းသို့လိုက်၍ ၊ အာမင် ဟု အဘယ်သို့ ဝန်ခံနိုင်မည်နည်း။
Else, if thou be blessing in a spirit, he that filleth up the place of the ungifted person, how shall he say the Amen upon thy thanksgiving? since indeed, what thou art saying, he knoweth not;
17 ၁၇ သင် သည် ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ကောင်းမွန် စွာ ချီးမွမ်းသည် မှန် စေတော့။ အခြား သောသူမူကား ၊ တည်ဆောက် ခြင်းအကျိုးမ ရှိ။
For, thou, indeed, excellently art giving thanks, but, the other, is not being built up.
18 ၁၈ ငါသည် သင်တို့ရှိသမျှ ထက် ၊ အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားဖြင့် ဟောပြော သောအရာကို ထောက်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင် ၏ကျေးဇူး တော်ကို ချီးမွမ်း၏။
I give thanks unto God!—More than ye all, am I speaking with tongues;
19 ၁၉ သို့သော်လည်း ၊ အသင်းတော် ၌ အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားဖြင့် စကား တစ်သောင်း ကို ပြောနိုင်သည် ထက်၊ သူတစ်ပါးတို့ ကို သွန်သင် ခြင်းငှာ စကားငါး ခွန်း ကို ဉာဏ် နှင့်တကွပြော နိုင်သော အခွင့်ကို သာ၍ အလိုရှိ ၏။
But, in assembly, I desire to speak five words with my mind, that, others also, I may instruct, than myriads of words in a tongue.
20 ၂၀ ညီအစ်ကို တို့၊ သင်တို့သည် ဉာဏ် အရာ၌ သူငယ် မ ဖြစ် ကြနှင့်။ မတရားသောအမှုအရာ၌ နို့စို့ သူငယ်ဖြစ်ကြလော့။
Brethren! do not become children, in your understandings; but, in baseness, become babes, while, in your understandings, ye become, full-grown.
21 ၂၁ ပညတ္တိကျမ်းစာ၌ လာ သည်ကား ၊ အခြား တစ်ပါးသောလျှာ၊ အခြား တစ်ပါးသောနှုတ် နှင့် ဤ လူမျိုး ကို ငါပြော မည်။ သို့သော်လည်းသူ တို့သည် နားမ ထောင်ကြဟု ထာဝရ ဘုရားမိန့် တော်မူ၏။
In the law, it is written—With strange tongues, and with lips of strangers, will I speak unto this people; and, not even so, will they hearken unto me, —saith the Lord.
22 ၂၂ သို့ဖြစ်၍ အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားတို့သည် ယုံကြည် သော သူ တို့အား နိမိတ် လက္ခဏာဖြစ် သည် မ ဟုတ်။ မယုံကြည် သောသူ တို့အား နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာ ဖြစ်သတည်း။ ပရောဖက် ပြုခြင်းအမှုမူကား ၊ မယုံကြည် သော သူ တို့အဘို့မ ဟုတ်၊ ယုံကြည် သော သူ တို့အဘို့ ဖြစ်သတည်း။
So that, the tongues, are for a sign—not unto them that believe, but, unto them that believe not; whereas, prophesying, is not for them that believe not, but, for them that believe.
23 ၂၃ ထိုကြောင့် သင်းဝင်သူ အပေါင်း တို့သည် စည်းဝေး ၍ အခြား သော ဘာသာဖြင့် ဟောပြော လျက် နေကြစဉ်တွင် မယုံကြည် သောသူ၊ မတတ် သောသူသည် ဝင်လာ လျှင် ၊ သင်တို့ကို သူရူး ဖြစ်ကြသည်ဟု ပြော မည် မ ဟုတ်လော။
If, then, the whole assembly come together with one consent, and, all, are speaking with tongues, —and there come in persons unskilled or unbelieving, will they not say that ye are raving?
24 ၂၄ သို့မဟုတ် သင်းဝင်သူအပေါင်း တို့သည် ပရောဖက် ပြု၍ နေကြစဉ်တွင်၊ မယုံကြည် သောသူ ၊ မတတ် သောသူသည် ဝင်လာ လျှင် ၊ သင်းဝင်သူအပေါင်း တို့သည် သူ၏အပြစ်ကို ဖော်ပြ ၍ သူ့ကို စစ်ကြော စီရင် ကြ၏။
But, if, all, be prophesying, —and there come in one who is unbelieving or unskilled, he is convicted by all, he is searched by all, the secrets of his heart, become manifest,
25 ၂၅ ထိုသို့ သူ ၏ စိတ် နှလုံး၌ မ ထင်ရှားသောအရာတို့သည် ထင်ရှား ပြန် ၍ သူသည် ပြပ်ဝပ် လျက် ၊ ဘုရားသခင် ကို ကိုးကွယ်လိမ့်မည် ။ ဘုရားသခင် သည် သင် တို့တွင် အမှန် ရှိ တော်မူသည်ဟု သက်သေခံ လိမ့်မည်။
And, so, falling down upon his face, he will do homage unto God, reporting that, in reality, God is, among you.
26 ၂၆ ညီအစ်ကို တို့၊ အဘယ်သို့ နည်း။ သင်တို့စည်းဝေး ကြသောအခါ ၊ ဆာလံ သီချင်းကို ရ သောသူ၊ ဆုံးမ ဩဝါဒစကားကို ရ သောသူ၊ အခြား သောဘာသာစကားကို ရ သောသူ၊ ဗျာဒိတ် တော်ကိုရ သောသူ၊ အနက် ဖော်ပြရာ ကိုရ သောသူ၊ အသီးအသီး ရှိကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ခပ်သိမ်း သောအမှုတို့ကို တည်ဆောက် ခြင်းအလိုငှာ စီရင် ကြ လော့။
What, then, is it, brethren? Whensoever ye are coming together, each one, hath a psalm, hath a teaching, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath a translation: —let, all things, be done, unto building up.
27 ၂၇ အခြား သော ဘာသာစကားဖြင့် ဟောပြော သော သူ ရှိလျှင် ၊ နှစ် ယောက်ဖြစ်စေ၊ အများဆုံး ဆိုသော် သုံး ယောက်ဖြစ်စေ၊ တစ်ယောက်နောက်တစ်ယောက်ပြော၍ တစ်ယောက်သောသူ သည် အနက် ကိုဖေါ်ပြစေ။
If, with a tongue, one is speaking, let it be by two, or, at the most, three, —and by turns; and let, one, be translating;
28 ၂၈ စကားပြန် မ ရှိ လျှင် ၊ ဟောပြောသောသူသည် အသင်းတော် ၌ တိတ်ဆိတ် စွာနေ၍ မိမိ အား၎င်း ၊ ဘုရားသခင် အား၎င်း ပြော စေ။
But, if there be none to translate, let him keep silence in assembly, and, unto himself, be speaking, and, unto God!
29 ၂၉ ပရောဖက် နှစ် ယောက်ဖြစ်စေ၊ သုံး ယောက် ဖြစ်စေ၊ ဟောပြော ၍ အခြား သော သူတို့သည် စစ်ကြော ဆင်ခြင်ကြစေ။
Prophets, moreover, let two or three speak, and let, the others, judge.
30 ၃၀ ထိုင် လျက် နေသောသူ အား တစ်စုံတစ်ခုကို ဖွင့်ပြ တော်မူလျှင် ၊ အရင် ဟောပြောသောသူသည် တိတ်ဆိတ် စွာနေစေ။
If, however, unto another, a revelation be made, as he is sitting, let the first be silent;
31 ၃၁ အကြောင်းမူကား ၊ ရှိသမျှ တို့သည် သင် ခြင်းငှာ ၎င်း၊ ရှိသမျှ တို့သည် သက်သာ ခြင်းငှာ၎င်း၊ သင်တို့ အသီးအသီး တစ်ယောက် နောက် တစ်ယောက်ပရောဖက် ပြုရသော အခွင့် ရှိကြ၏။
For, one by one, ye can, all, be prophesying, —that, all, may learn, and, all, be encouraged.
And, spirits of prophets, unto prophets, do submit themselves;
33 ၃၃ ဘုရားသခင် သည် ရုန်းရင်းခတ် သောအမှုကို ပြုစုတော်မ မူ။ သန့်ရှင်း သူတို့၏ အသင်းတော် အပေါင်း တို့၌ ဖြစ်သကဲ့သို့ အသင့်အတင့်ငြိမ်ဝပ် ခြင်းကို ပြုစု တော်မူ၏။
For God is not [a God] of confusion, but, of peace: —as in all the assemblies of the saints.
34 ၃၄ သင်တို့၏ မိန်းမ တို့သည် အသင်းတော် ၌ တိတ်ဆိတ် စွာ နေကြစေ။ သူ တို့သည် ဟောပြော ရသော အခွင့် မ ရှိကြ။ ပညတ် တရားစီရင် သည်အတိုင်း သူ တို့ သည် ယောက်ျား၏အုပ်စိုးခြင်းကို ဝန်ခံရကြမည်။
As for the women, in the assemblies, let them be silent, for it is not permitted them to be speaking; but let them be in submission, —even as, the law, saith.
35 ၃၅ မိန်းမ တို့သည် တစ်စုံတစ်ခု ကိုသင် လိုလျှင် ၊ အိမ် ၌ မိမိ ခင်ပွန်း တို့ကို မေးမြန်း ကြစေ။ မိန်းမ သည်အသင်းတော် ၌ ဟောပြော လျှင် ရှက်ဘွယ် သော အကြောင်း ဖြစ် ၏။
If, however, they are wishing to learn something, at home, their own husbands, let them question; for it is a shame for a woman to be speaking in assembly.
Or, from you, did the word of God come forth? Or, unto you alone, did it extend?
37 ၃၇ ငါသည်သင် တို့အား ရေး ၍ပေးလိုက်သော စကား တို့သည် သခင် ဘုရား၏ ပညတ် တော်ဖြစ် ကြောင်း ကို၊ ပရောဖက် ဖြစ် သောသူ ၊ ဝိညာဉ် ဆုကျေးဇူးကို ခံရသောသူမည်သည်ကားဝန်ခံ ပါစေ။ တစ်စုံတစ်ယောက် သော သူသည် မ သိလျှင် မသိဘဲနေစေ။
If anyone thinketh himself to be a prophet, or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge the things which I am writing to you, —that they are, a commandment, of the Lord.
But, if anyone knoweth not, he is unknown!
So, then, my brethren, —be zealous to prophesy, and do not forbid, to be speaking with tongues;
But let, all things, with comeliness, and by arrangement, be done.
