ဆာလံ 4
1 ၁ အို ဘုရားသခင်၊ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးကိုကွယ်ကာတော်မူသောအရှင်၊ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးခေါ်သောအခါထူးတော်မူပါ။ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးဒုက္ခရောက်စဉ်အခါ၌ကျွန်တော် မျိုးအား ကူမတော်မူခဲ့ပါ၏။ ယခုအခါ၌လည်းကျွန်တော်မျိုးအား သနားတော်မူ၍ ကျွန်တော်မျိုး၏ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာကို နားညောင်းတော်မူပါ။
Unto the end, in verses. A psalm for David. When I called upon him, the God of my justice heard me: when I was in distress, thou hast enlarged me. Have mercy on me: and hear my prayer.
2 ၂ အချင်းလူတို့၊သင်တို့သည်အဘယ်ကာလတိုင် အောင် ငါ့အားစော်ကားကြမည်နည်း။ အဘယ်ကာလတိုင်အောင်သင်တို့သည် အကျိုးမရှိသည့်အရာကိုနှစ်သက်၍ အမှားနောက်သို့လိုက်ကြမည်နည်း။
O ye sons of men, how long will you be dull of heart? why do you love vanity, and seek after lying?
3 ၃ ထာဝရဘုရားသည်မိမိ၏အဖို့အလို့ငှာ သူတော်ကောင်းအားရွေးချယ်ထားတော်မူသည်ကို သိမှတ်ကြလော့။ ငါခေါ်သောအခါကိုယ်တော်ကြားတော်မူ၏။
Know ye also that the Lord hath made his holy one wonderful: the Lord will hear me when I shall cry unto him.
4 ၄ သင်တို့သည်ကြောက်လန့်လျက်အပြစ်ဒုစရိုက်ကို ရှောင်ကြလော့။ သင်တို့သည်အိပ်ရာပေါ်တွင်တစ်ကိုယ်တည်း ဆိတ်ငြိမ်စွာ ဤအချက်ကိုနက်နက်နဲနဲစဉ်းစားဆင်ခြင် ကြလော့။
Be angry, and sin not: the things you say in your hearts, be sorry for them upon your beds.
5 ၅ ထာဝရဘုရားအားထိုက်လျောက်သည့် ယဇ်များကိုပူဇော်၍ကိုယ်တော်ကို ယုံကြည်ကိုးစားကြလော့။
Offer up the sacrifice of justice, and trust in the Lord: many say, Who sheweth us good things?
6 ၆ ``အို ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကောင်းချီးမင်္ဂလာကိုထပ်မံ၍ချပေးတော်မူပါ။ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးတို့အားကရုဏာစိတ်ဖြင့် ကြည့်တော်မူပါ'' ဟုလူအများကဆုတောင်း ကြ၏။
The light of thy countenance O Lord, is signed upon us: thou hast given gladness in my heart.
7 ၇ သို့ရာတွင်ကျွန်တော်မျိုးအားကိုယ်တော် ပေးတော်မူသောဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းသည် ဂျုံစပါးနှင့်စပျစ်ရည်ပေါများသူတို့ရရှိသည့် ဝမ်းမြောက်ခြင်းထက်သာလွန်ပါ၏။
By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.
8 ၈ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးသည်လဲလျောင်းလိုက်သောအခါ ငြိမ်သက်စွာအိပ်ပျော်သွားပါ၏။ အို ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်သာလျှင်ကျွန်တော်မျိုးအားလုံခြုံစွာ နေနိုင်ခွင့်ကိုပေးတော်မူပါ၏။
In peace in the selfsame I will sleep, and I will rest: For thou, O Lord, singularly hast settled me in hope.
