ဆာလံ 123

1 ၁ အို ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား၊ ကိုယ်​တော်​ရှင်​စိုး​စံ​တော်​မူ​ရာ​ကောင်း​ကင်​ဘုံ​သို့ ကျွန်​တော်​မျိုး​မျှော်​ကြည့်​ပါ​၏။

“A song of the steps, or the goings up.” To thee do I lift up mine eyes, O Thou who dwellest in the heavens!

2 ၂ အ​စေ​ခံ​သည်​မိ​မိ​၏​သ​ခင်​ကို​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ အ​စေ​ခံ​မ​သည်​မိ​မိ​သ​ခင်​မ​ကို​လည်း​ကောင်း မှီ​ခို​အား​ထား​သ​ကဲ့​သို့ ကျွန်​တော်​မျိုး​တို့​သည်​မိ​မိ​တို့​၏​ဘု​ရား​သ​ခင် ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား​၏​က​ရု​ဏာ​တော်​ကို မ​ခံ​စား​ရ​မ​ချင်း​ကိုယ်​တော်​ရှင်​အား မျှော်​ကြည့်​လျက်​နေ​ပါ​မည်။

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their masters, And as the eyes of a maiden to the hand of her mistress, So do our eyes look to the LORD, our God, Until he have pity upon us.

3 ၃ ကျွန်​တော်​မျိုး​တို့​သည်​လွန်​မင်း​စွာ​မ​ထီ​မဲ့​မြင် ပြု​ခြင်း​ကို​ခံ​ကြ​ရ​ပါ​ပြီ။ သို့​ဖြစ်​၍​ကျွန်​တော်​မျိုး​တို့​အား​သ​နား​တော်​မူ​ပါ။ အို ထာ​ဝ​ရ​ဘု​ရား၊ ကျွန်​တော်​မျိုး​တို့​အား​သ​နား​တော်​မူ​ပါ။

Have mercy upon us, O LORD! have mercy upon us, For we are overwhelmed with contempt!

4 ၄ ကျွန်​တော်​မျိုး​တို့​သည်​ချမ်း​သာ​ကြွယ်​ဝ သူ​တို့​၏ ပြောင်​လှောင်​ခြင်း​ကို​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ မာန်​မာ​န​ကြီး​သူ​တို့​၏​မ​ထီ​မဲ့​မြင်​ပြု​ခြင်း ကို​လည်း​ကောင်း​ခံ​ရ​ကြ​သည်​မှာ​ကြာ​ပါ​ပြီ။

Our soul is filled to the full with the scorn of those who are at ease, And with the contempt of the proud.
