မာလခိ 1
1 ၁ ဤဗျာဒိတ်တော်သည်ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားတို့အားပြန်ကြားရန်အတွက် မာလခိ အားထာဝရဘုရားပေးတော်မူသော ဗျာဒိတ်တော်ဖြစ်၏။
The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
2 ၂ ထာဝရဘုရားကမိမိ၏လူမျိုးတော် အား``ငါသည်သင်တို့အားအစဉ်အမြဲ ချစ်မြတ်နိုးပါ၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူသော် လည်း၊ သူတို့က``ကျွန်တော်မျိုးအတွက်မေတ္တာတော် ကိုအဘယ်သို့ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်ပြတော်မူခဲ့ ပါသနည်း'' ဟုမေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း``ဧသောနှင့် ယာကုပ်သည်ညီအစ်ကိုတော်သော်လည်း ငါ သည်ယာကုပ်နှင့်သားမြေးများကိုချစ်၍၊-
I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, In what hast thou loved us? [Was] not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,
3 ၃ ဧသောနှင့်သားမြေးတို့ကိုမုန်း၏။ ငါသည် ဧသော၏တောင်ကုန်းနယ်မြေကိုပျက်ပြုန်း စေ၍ တောတိရစ္ဆာန်များအတွက်စွန့်ပစ် လျက်ထားလေပြီ'' ဟုပြန်လည်မိန့်ကြား တော်မူ၏။
And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
4 ၄ အကယ်၍ဧသော၏သားမြေးများဖြစ် သောဧဒုံပြည်သားတို့က``ငါတို့မြို့များ သည်ပြိုပျက်၍သွားပြီဖြစ်သော်လည်းယင်း တို့ကိုငါတို့ပြန်လည်တည်ထောင်မည်'' ဟု ဆိုခဲ့သော်အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည် ``သူတို့ပြန်လည်တည်ထောင် ကြပါလေစေ။ ထိုမြို့များကိုငါတစ်ဖန် ပြန်၍ဖြိုချမည်။ လူတို့သည်ထိုသူတို့ အား `ဒုစရိုက်ပြည်သားများ' ဟူ၍လည်း ကောင်း၊ ထာဝရဘုရား၏အမျက်တော် ထာဝစဉ်သင့်သောအမျိုးသားများဟူ ၍လည်းကောင်းခေါ်ဆိုကြလတ္တံ့'' ဟုမိန့် တော်မူလိမ့်မည်။
Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever.
5 ၅ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည်ဤအဖြစ် အပျက်ကို မိမိတို့ကိုယ်တိုင်တွေ့မြင်ရကြ သဖြင့်``ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ဣသရေလ ပြည်အပြင်အပ၌ပင်လျှင် ဘုန်းတန်ခိုး ကြီးတော်မူပါပေသည်'' ဟုဆိုကြလိမ့် မည်။
And your eyes shall see, and ye shall say, The LORD will be magnified from the border of Israel.
6 ၆ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ယဇ် ပုရောဟိတ်တို့အား``သားသည်ဖခင်အား လည်းကောင်း၊ အစေခံသည်သခင်အားလည်း ကောင်းရိုသေလေးစား၏။ ငါသည်သင်တို့၏ ဖခင်ဖြစ်ပေသည်။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်သင်တို့ ငါ့အားမရိုသေကြပါသနည်း။ ငါသည် သင်တို့၏သခင်ဖြစ်ပေသည်။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် သင်တို့ငါ့အားမလေးစားကြပါသနည်း။ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့အားမထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုပြီး လျှင်``ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်အားကျွန်တော်မျိုးတို့ အဘယ်သို့မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုမိကြပါသ နည်း'' ဟုမေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။-
A son honoreth [his] father, and a servant his master: if then I [am] a father, where [is] my honor? and if I [am] a master, where [is] my fear? saith the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, In what have we despised thy name?
7 ၇ သင်တို့မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုပုံမှာငါ၏ယဇ် ပလ္လင်ပေါ်တွင်ညစ်ညမ်းသည့်အစားအစာ များကိုတင်လှူပူဇော်ခြင်းအားဖြင့်ဖြစ် ၏။ ထိုနောက်သင်တို့က``ကျွန်တော်မျိုးတို့ သည်ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်အားအဘယ်သို့မရို မသေပြုခဲ့ကြပါသနည်း'' ဟုမေးကြ ပြန်၏။ သင်တို့မရိုမသေပြုပုံကားငါ ၏ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ကိုမထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုခြင်းဖြစ် ပေသည်။-
Ye offer polluted bread upon my altar? and ye say, In what have we polluted thee? In that ye say, The table of the LORD [is] contemptible.
8 ၈ သင်တို့သည်မျက်စိကန်းဖျားနာသို့မဟုတ် ခြေကျိုးသည့်ယဇ်ကောင်တို့အားတင်လှူပူ ဇော်ရန် ယူဆောင်လာကြသောအခါသင် တို့တွင်အပြစ်မရှိဟုထင်မှတ်ကြပါ သလော။ ဤကဲ့သို့သောသိုးနွားမျိုးကို ဘုရင်ခံအားဆက်သကြည့်ပါသလော။ သူသည်သင်တို့အားနှစ်သက်ပါမည်လော။ အခွင့်ထူးများကိုသော်လည်းပေးပါလိမ့် မည်လော'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, [is it] not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, [is it] not evil? offer it now to thy governor; will he be pleased with thee, or accept thy person? saith the LORD of hosts.
9 ၉ အချင်းယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်တို့၊ ငါတို့ကို ကျေးဇူးပြုတော်မူရန်ဘုရားသခင်အား ယခုစမ်းသပ်လျှောက်ထားကြည့်ကြလော့။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်သင်တို့၏ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာ ကိုနားညောင်းတော်မူလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်။ ယင်း သို့ဖြစ်ရသည်မှာလည်း သင်တို့၏အပြစ် များကြောင့်ပင်ဖြစ်ပါ၏။-
And now, I pray you, beseech God that he will be gracious to us: this hath been by your means: will he regard your person? saith the LORD of hosts.
10 ၁၀ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားက``ငါ ၏ယဇ်ပလ္လင်ပေါ်တွင်ညစ်ညမ်းသည့်မီးများ ကိုသင်တို့မထည့်နိုင်စေရန် ဗိမာန်တော် တံခါးများကိုပိတ်ထားမည့်သူရှိလျှင် အဘယ်မျှကောင်းလိမ့်မည်နည်း။ ငါသည် သင်တို့ကိုမနှစ်သက်။ ငါ့ထံသို့သင်တို့ ယူဆောင်လာသောပူဇော်သကာကိုလည်း လက်မခံလို။-
Who [is there] even among you that would shut the doors [for nought]? neither do ye kindle [fire] on my altar for naught. I have no pleasure in you, saith the LORD of hosts, neither will I accept an offering at your hand.
11 ၁၁ ကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးတစ်စွန်းမှအခြားတစ်စွန်း တိုင်အောင်လူတို့သည် ငါ၏ဂုဏ်တော်ကို ချီးကူးကြပေသည်။ သူတို့သည်အရပ် တကာတွင်နံ့သာပေါင်းကိုမီးရှို့၍ နှစ် သက်ဖွယ်ကောင်းသည့်ယဇ်များကိုငါ့ အားပူဇော်ကြ၏။ သူတို့အားလုံးပင် ငါ၏နာမတော်ကိုချီးကူးကြ၏။-''
For from the rising of the sun even to the setting of the same, my name [shall be] great among the Gentiles; and in every place incense [shall be] offered to my name, and a pure offering: for my name [shall be] great among the heathen, saith the LORD of hosts.
12 ၁၂ ``သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့မူကားငါ၏ယဇ် ပလ္လင်ကိုညစ်ညမ်းသည်ဟုဆိုကာ မိမိတို့ တင်လှူသည့်ဘောဇဉ်ပူဇော်သကာကို လည်းမထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုလျက်ငါ့အားရှုတ် ချကြပေသည်။-
But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD [is] polluted; and the fruit of it, [even] his provision, is contemptible.
13 ၁၃ သင်တို့က`ဤအမှုများပြုရသည်ကိုငါ တို့ငြီးငွေ့လှပါပြီ' ဟုဆိုကာနှာခေါင်း ရှုတ်၍ငါ့အားမလေးမခန့်ပြုကြ၏။ သင် တို့သည်မိမိတို့ခိုးယူရရှိသည့်ယဇ်ကောင် ကိုသော်လည်းကောင်း၊ ခြေကျိုးသို့မဟုတ် ဖျားနာသည့်ယဇ်ကောင်ကိုသော်လည်းကောင်း ငါ၏အတွက်ပူဇော်သကာအဖြစ်နှင့်ယူ ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။ ငါသည်ဤပူဇော်သကာ များကိုလက်ခံလိမ့်မည်ဟုသင်တို့ထင် မှတ်ကြပါသလော။-''
Ye said also, Behold, what a weariness [is it]! and ye have snuffed at it, saith the LORD of hosts; and ye brought [that which was] torn, and the lame, and the sick; thus ye brought an offering: should I accept this from your hand? saith the LORD.
14 ၁၄ ``မိမိ၏သိုးအုပ်တွင်အပြစ်အနာကင်း သည့်သိုးများရှိပါလျက် ငါ့အားလိမ်လည် လှည့်စား၍အသုံးမကျသည့်ယဇ်ကောင် ကိုပူဇော်ဆက်သသူသည်ကျိန်စာသင့်ပါ စေသတည်း။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်ငါသည် ကြီးမြတ်သည့်ဘုရင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၍ ငါ၏ နာမတော်ကိုလူမျိုးတကာတို့ကြောက်ရွံ့ ရိုသေရသောကြောင့်တည်း'' ဟုအနန္တတန် ခိုးရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
But cursed [be] the deceiver, who hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth to the LORD a corrupt thing: for I [am] a great King, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name [is] dreadful among the heathen.
