တရားသူကြီးမှတ်စာ 12
1 ၁ ဧဖရိမ်အမျိုးသားတို့သည်စစ်တိုက်ရန်ပြင် ဆင်ကြ၏။ သူတို့သည်ယော်ဒန်မြစ်ကိုဖြတ် ကျော်ကာဇာဖုန်မြို့သို့ချီသွားပြီးလျှင် ယေဖသအား``သင်တို့သည်ငါတို့ကိုမခေါ် ဘဲအဘယ်ကြောင့်အမ္မုန်အမျိုးသားတို့အား ချီတက်တိုက်ခိုက်ခဲ့ပါသနည်း။ သင်ရှိရာ သင်၏အိမ်ကိုငါတို့မီးရှို့ဖျက်ဆီးပစ်မည်'' ဟုပြော၏။
And the me of Ephraim gathered themselues together, and went Northwarde, and saide vnto Iphtah, Wherefore wentest thou to fight against the children of Ammon, and diddest not call vs to goe with thee? we will therefore burne thine house vpon thee with fire.
2 ၂ သို့ရာတွင်ယေဖသက``ငါနှင့်ငါ၏လူတို့ သည်အမ္မုန်အမျိုးသားတို့နှင့်ပြင်းပြင်းထန် ထန်ခိုက်ရန်ဖြစ်ခဲ့ကြ၏။ ငါသည်သင်တို့ကို ခေါ်သော်လည်း ငါတို့အားထိုသူတို့လက်မှ သင်တို့မကယ်ဘဲနေခဲ့ကြသည်။-
And Iphtah said vnto them, I and my people were at great strife with the children of Ammon, and when I called you, ye deliuered me not out of their handes.
3 ၃ ယင်းသို့ငါတို့အားသင်တို့ကယ်ကြမည့် ပုံမပေါ်သောအခါ ငါသည်အသက်စွန့်၍ အမ္မုန်အမျိုးသားတို့အားတိုက်ခိုက်ရန်ချီ သွားခဲ့ရပါသည်။ ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း ငါ့အားသူတို့၏အပေါ်၌အောင်ပွဲခံစေ တော်မူ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍အဘယ်ကြောင့်သင် သည်ယခုငါ့အားလာရောက်တိုက်ခိုက် ပါသနည်း'' ဟုပြန်ပြော၏။-
So when I sawe that ye deliuered me not, I put my life in mine hands, and went vpon the children of Ammon: so the Lord deliuered them into mine handes. Wherefore then are ye come vpon me nowe to fight against me?
4 ၄ ထိုနောက်ယေဖသသည်ဂိလဒ်သူရဲအပေါင်း တို့ကိုစုရုံးစေလျက် ဧဖရိမ်အမျိုးသား တို့အားတိုက်ခိုက်လေသည်။ (ဧဖရိမ်ပြည် နှင့်မနာရှေပြည်တွင်နေထိုင်သောဂိလဒ် ပြည်သားတို့သည် သစ္စာဖောက်၍ဧဖရိမ် ပြည်မှထွက်သွားသူများဟူ၍စွပ်စွဲ ပြောဆိုခဲ့သတည်း။-)
Then Iphtah gathered all the men of Gilead, and fought with Ephraim: and the men of Gilead smote Ephraim, because they said, Ye Gileadites are runnagates of Ephraim among the Ephraimites, and among the Manassites.
5 ၅ ဧဖရိမ်ပြည်သားတို့မလွတ်မြောက်နိုင်စေ ရန်ဂိလဒ်ပြည်သားတို့သည် ယော်ဒန်မြစ် တစ်ဘက်ကမ်းသို့ကူးဖြတ်နိုင်သည့်နေ ရာရှိသမျှကိုသိမ်းထားကြ၏။-
Also the Gileadites tooke the passages of Iorden before the Ephraimites, and when the Ephraimites that were escaped, saide, Let me passe, then the men of Gilead said vnto him, Art thou an Ephraimite? If he said, Nay,
6 ၆ ဧဖရိမ်ပြည်သားတစ်စုံတစ်ယောက်သည် ထွက်မြောက်နိုင်ရန် မြစ်ကိုဖြတ်ကူးခွင့်တောင်း ခံသည့်အခါတိုင်းဂိလဒ်ပြည်သားတို့ က``သင်သည်ဧဖရိမ်ပြည်သားလော'' ဟု မေးစစ်၏။ ``မဟုတ်ပါ'' ဟုဆိုလျှင်``ရှိဗော လက်'' ဟူသောစကားကိုဆိုစေ၏။ သို့ရာ တွင်အကယ်၍ထိုသူသည်စကားကို ပီသစွာမပြောနိုင်ဘဲ``သိဗောလက်'' ဟု ဆိုခဲ့သော်သူ့အားဖမ်းဆီး၍ယော်ဒန် မြစ်ကူးရာအရပ်၌သတ်ကြသည်။ ထို စစ်ပွဲ၌ဧဖရိမ်ပြည်သားလေးသောင်း နှစ်ထောင်ကျဆုံးရကြလေသည်။
Then said they vnto him, Say nowe Shibboleth: and he said, Sibboleth: for he could not so pronounce: then they tooke him, and slewe him at the passages of Iorden: and there fel at that time of the Ephraimites two and fourtie thousand.
7 ၇ ယေဖသသည်ဣသရေလပြည်သူတို့ အားခြောက်နှစ်မျှခေါင်းဆောင်ပြီးနောက် ကွယ်လွန်သော် သူ၏ရုပ်အလောင်းကိုဂိလဒ် ပြည်ရှိသူ၏ဌာနေမြို့တွင်သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြ၏။
And Iphtah iudged Israel sixe yeere: then dyed Iphtah the Gileadite, and was buryed in one of the cities of Gilead.
8 ၈ ယေဖသကွယ်လွန်ပြီးနောက်ဣသရေလ လူမျိုးအား ခေါင်းဆောင်သူမှာဗက်လင်မြို့ သားဣဗဇန်ဖြစ်၏။ သူ၌သားသုံးဆယ် နှင့်သမီးသုံးဆယ်ရှိ၏။-
After him Ibzan of Beth-lehem iudged Israel,
9 ၉ သူသည်မိမိ၏သမီးတို့အားမိမိသား ချင်းစုဝင်မဟုတ်သူများနှင့်ထိမ်းမြား ပေး၍ မိမိသားများအားမိမိသားချင်း စုဝင်မဟုတ်သောအမျိုးသမီးများ နှင့်ထိမ်းမြားပေးလေသည်။ ဣဗဇန်သည် ဣသရေလအမျိုးအားခုနစ်နှစ်မျှ ခေါင်းဆောင်ရပြီးနောက်၊-
Who had thirtie sonnes and thirtie daughters, which he sent out, and tooke in thirtie daughters from abroade for his sonnes. and he iudged Israel seuen yeere.
Then Ibzan died, and was buryed at Bethlehem.
11 ၁၁ ဣဗဇန်ကွယ်လွန်ပြီးနောက် ဇာဗုလုန်မြို့သား ဧလုန်သည်ဆယ်နှစ်မျှ ဣသရေလလူမျိုး၏ ခေါင်းဆောင်ဖြစ်လာ၏။-
And after him iudged Israel Elon, a Zebulonite, and he iudged Israel tenne yeere.
12 ၁၂ ထိုနောက်သူသည်ကွယ်လွန်သော်သူ၏ရုပ် အလောင်းကို ဇာဗုလုန်နယ်မြေရှိအာဇလုန် မြို့၌သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြလေသည်။-
Then Elon the Zebulonite dyed, and was buryed in Aijalon in the countrey of Zebulun.
13 ၁၃ ဧလုန်ကွယ်လွန်ပြီးနောက်ပိရသုန်မြို့နေဟိ လေလ၏သားအာဗဒုန်သည် ဣသရေလ လူမျိုးကိုခေါင်းဆောင်ရ၏။-
And after him Abdon the sonne of Hillel the Pirathonite iudged Israel.
14 ၁၄ သူ၌မြည်းတစ်ကောင်စီစီးနင်းသောသား လေးဆယ်နှင့်မြေးသုံးဆယ်ရှိ၏။ အာဗဒုန် သည်ဣသရေလလူမျိုးကိုရှစ်နှစ်မျှ ခေါင်းဆောင်ပြီးလျှင်၊-
And he had fourty sonnes and thirtie nephewes that rode on seuentie assecoltes: and he iudged Israel eight yeeres.
15 ၁၅ ကွယ်လွန်သော်သူ၏ရုပ်အလောင်းကိုအာ မလက်တောင်ကုန်းဒေသ၊ ဧဖရိမ်နယ်ရှိ ပိရသုန်မြို့၌သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ကြ၏။
Then dyed Abdon the sonne of Hillel the Pirathonite, and was buryed in Pirathon, in ye lande of Ephraim, in the Mount of the Amalekites.
