This is the word of the LORD about the nations—the word that came to Jeremiah the prophet
2 ၂ အီဂျစ်ပြည်အကြောင်းနှင့်ပတ်သက်၍ ကိုယ် တော်မိန့်တော်မူသည်မှာအောက်ပါအတိုင်း ဖြစ်၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ယောရှိ၏သား ယုဒဘုရင်ယောယကိမ်နန်းစံစတုတ္ထနှစ် ၌ ဥဖရတ်မြစ်အနီးကာခေမိတ်အရပ်တွင် ဗာဗုလုန်ဘုရင်နေဗုခဒ်နေဇာနှိမ်နင်းလိုက် သည့်အီဂျစ်ဘုရင်ဖာရောနေခေါ်၏တပ်မ တော်ကိုရည်မှတ်၍ဗျာဒိတ်ပေးတော်မူ ၏။
concerning Egypt and the army of Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt, which was defeated at Carchemish on the Euphrates River by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah:
3 ၃ ``အီဂျစ်တပ်မှူးတို့က`သင်တို့၏ဒိုင်းလွှား များကို အသင့်ပြင်ဆင်ကာတိုက်ပွဲသို့ဝင်ကြလော့''
“Deploy your shields, small and large; advance for battle!
4 ၄ သင်တို့၏မြင်းများကိုကြိုးတန်ဆာဆင်စီး ကြလော့။ စီတန်းပြီးလျှင်သင်တို့၏သံခမောက်များ ကို ဆောင်းကြလော့။ လှံများကိုသွေးကြလော့။ သံချပ်အင်္ကျီကိုဝတ်ကြလော့' ဟုအော်ဟစ် ကြ၏။
Harness the horses; mount the steeds; take your positions with helmets on! Polish your spears; put on armor!
5 ၅ သို့ရာတွင်ထာဝရဘုရားက``ငါမြင်ရ သည်ကား အဘယ်သို့နည်း။ သူတို့သည်ကြောက်လန့်၍နောက်သို့ဆုတ်ခွာ နေကြ၏။ သူတို့၏စစ်သူရဲများသည်အရေးရှုံးနိမ့်ကြ လေပြီ။ သူတို့သည်ကြောက်အားကြီး၍၊ နောက်သို့လှည့်မကြည့်ဘဲအစွမ်းကုန်လျင် မြန်စွာ ပြေးကြလေကုန်၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
Why am I seeing this? They are terrified, they are retreating; their warriors are defeated, they flee in haste without looking back; terror is on every side!”
6 ၆ လျင်မြန်စွာပြေးသူတို့သည်မလွတ်နိုင်။ စစ်သူရဲတို့သည်မလွတ်မြောက်နိုင်။ သူတို့သည်မြောက်ဘက်ဒေသ၊ဥဖရတ် မြစ် အနီးတွင်ခြေချော်၍လဲကြကုန်၏။
“The swift cannot flee, and the warrior cannot escape! In the north by the River Euphrates they stumble and fall.
7 ၇ ရေလျှံသောမြစ်ကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ နိုင်းမြစ်ရေကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ ချီတက်လာသူကားအဘယ်သူနည်း။
Who is this, rising like the Nile, like rivers whose waters churn?
8 ၈ ရေလျှံသောမြစ်ကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ နိုင်းမြစ်ရေကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း ချီတက်လာသူမှာအီဂျစ်နိုင်ငံဖြစ်ပေ သည်။ အီဂျစ်နိုင်ငံက`ငါသည်ချီတက်၍ကမ္ဘာကို လွှမ်းမိုးမည်။ မြို့များနှင့်မြို့သူမြို့သားတို့အားဖျက်ဆီးမည်။
Egypt rises like the Nile, and its waters churn like rivers, boasting, ‘I will rise and cover the earth; I will destroy the cities and their people.’
9 ၉ မြင်းများတို့တက်ကြလော့။ ရထားများတို့၊အပြင်းနှင်ကြလော့။ ဒိုင်းလွှားကိုင်ဆောင်သူဆူဒန်ပြည်သားနှင့် လစ်ဗျားပြည်သားတို့လုဒပြည်သားလေး သည်တော် အစရှိသည့် စစ်သည်တော်တို့ထွက်သွားကြလော့' ဟုဆို၏'' ဟူ၍ ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
Advance, O horses! Race furiously, O chariots! Let the warriors come forth— Cush and Put carrying their shields, men of Lydia drawing the bow.
10 ၁၀ ဤနေ့သည်အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်အရှင် ထာဝရဘုရား၏နေ့တော်ဖြစ်၏။ ကိုယ်တော်သည်ရန်သူတို့အားယနေ့ပင် လက်စားချေတော်မူမည်။ သူတို့အားအပြစ်ဒဏ်ခတ်တော်မူမည်။ ကိုယ်တော်၏ဋ္ဌားသည်သူတို့အသားကိုအဝ စား၍ သူတို့၏သွေးကိုအဝသောက်လိမ့်မည်။ ယနေ့အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်သည်ဥဖရတ်မြစ် အနီး မြောက်ဘက်ဒေသ၌ မိမိ၏ယဇ်ကောင်များကိုပူဇော်တော်မူ၏။
For that day belongs to the Lord GOD of Hosts, a day of vengeance against His foes. The sword will devour until it is satisfied, until it is quenched with their blood. For the Lord GOD of Hosts will hold a sacrifice in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.
11 ၁၁ အီဂျစ်ပြည်သူပြည်သားတို့၊ ဂိလဒ်ပြည်သို့သွား၍ ဆေးဝါးများကိုရှာကြလော့။ သင်တို့၏ဆေးများသည်တန်ခိုးအာနိသင် မရှိ။ သင်တို့၏အနာရောဂါကိုမပျောက်ကင်းစေနိုင်။
Go up to Gilead for balm, O Virgin Daughter of Egypt! In vain you try many remedies, but for you there is no healing.
12 ၁၂ လူမျိုးတကာတို့သည်သင်တို့အရှက်ကွဲမှုကို ကြားသိကြလေပြီ။ သင်တို့ငိုကြွေးသံကိုလူတိုင်းကြားရကြ၏။ စစ်သူရဲသည်တစ်ဦးနှင့်တစ်ဦးတိုက်မိသဖြင့် နှစ်ဦးစလုံးမြေပေါ်သို့လဲကျကြလေပြီ။
The nations have heard of your shame, and your outcry fills the earth, because warrior stumbles over warrior and both of them have fallen together.”
13 ၁၃ အီဂျစ်ပြည်ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်ရန်ဗာဗုလုန်ဘုရင် နေဗုခဒ်နေဇာလာရောက်သောအခါ ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည်ငါ့အားဗျာဒိတ်ပေးတော်မူ၏။ ကိုယ်တော်က၊
This is the word that the LORD spoke to Jeremiah the prophet about the coming of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to strike the land of Egypt:
14 ၁၄ ``အီဂျစ်မြို့များဖြစ်သောမိဂဒေါလ၊နောဖနှင့် တာပနက်မြို့တို့အား၊ သင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့အတွက်ခုခံကာကွယ် အသင့်ပြင်ဆင်ကြလော့။ သင်တို့တွင်ရှိသမျှသောအရာတို့သည် စစ်ပွဲတွင် ဆုံးရှုံးပျက်စီးလိမ့်မည်။''
“Announce it in Egypt, and proclaim it in Migdol; proclaim it in Memphis and Tahpanhes: ‘Take your positions and prepare yourself, for the sword devours those around you.’
15 ၁၅ သင်တို့၏တန်ခိုးကြီးသောဘုရားအာပိ သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့်ပြိုလဲရသနည်း။ သူ့အားထာဝရဘုရားတွန်းချတော်မူလေပြီ။
Why have your warriors been laid low? They cannot stand, for the LORD has thrust them down.
16 ၁၆ သင်တို့၏စစ်သူရဲများသည်ခြေချော်၍လဲ ကြကုန်၏။ သူတို့တစ်ယောက်ကိုတစ်ယောက်`မြန်မြန်လာကြ။ ငါတို့သည်မိမိတို့နေရင်းပြည်သို့ပြန်ကြ ကုန်အံ့။ ရန်သူ၏ဋ္ဌားဘေးမှလွတ်မြောက်ရန်ပြေးကြ ကုန်အံ့' ဟုဆိုကြ၏။
They continue to stumble; indeed, they have fallen over one another. They say, ‘Get up! Let us return to our people and to the land of our birth, away from the sword of the oppressor.’
17 ၁၇ ``အီဂျစ်ဘုရင်ဖာရောအား `အခွင့်ကောင်းကိုလက်လွတ်သူ၊လေအိုးကြီး' ဟူသောနာမည်သစ်ကိုပေးကြလော့။
There they will cry out: ‘Pharaoh king of Egypt was all noise; he has let the appointed time pass him by.’
18 ၁၈ အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ငါထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဘုရင်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ ငါသည်အသက်ရှင်တော်မူသော ဘုရားသခင်ပေတည်း။ တာဗော်တောင်ထိပ်သည်တောင်တကာတို့ ထက် မြင့်သကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ ကရမေလတောင်ထိပ်သည်လည်း၊ပင်လယ် အနီးတွင် မြင့်မားစွာတည်ရှိသကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ သင်တို့တိုက်ခိုက်မည့်သူသည်ခွန်အား ကြီးမား ပေလိမ့်မည်။
As surely as I live, declares the King, whose name is the LORD of Hosts, there will come one who is like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea.
19 ၁၉ အချင်းအီဂျစ်ပြည်သားတို့၊ သုံ့ပန်းအဖြစ်ခေါ်ဆောင်ခြင်းကိုခံရန် အသင့် ပြင်ဆင်ထားကြလော့။ နောဖမြို့သည်လူသူဆိတ်ငြိမ်ရာ သဲကန္တာရဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။
Pack your bags for exile, O daughter dwelling in Egypt! For Memphis will be laid waste, destroyed and uninhabited.
Egypt is a beautiful heifer, but a gadfly from the north is coming against her.
21 ၂၁ အငှားစစ်သည်များပင်လျှင်နွားသငယ်များ သဖွယ် ခိုကိုးရာမဲ့ဖြစ်ကြ၏။ သူတို့သည်ခုခံတိုက်ခိုက်မှုကိုမပြုဘဲ အားလုံးလှည့်၍ပြေးကြလေသည်။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်သူတို့ဆုံးပါးပျက်စီး ရမည့်နေ့၊ ကံကြမ္မာဆိုးကြုံတွေ့ရမည့်နေ့ရက်ကာလသည် ကျရောက်လာပြီဖြစ်သောကြောင့်တည်း။
Even the mercenaries among her are like fattened calves. They too will turn back; together they will flee, they will not stand their ground, for the day of calamity is coming upon them— the time of their punishment.
22 ၂၂ ရန်သူတပ်မတော်နီးကပ်လာသည်နှင့်အီဂျစ် ပြည်သည် မြည်သံပြုသောမြွေကဲ့သို့ထွက်ပြေးလေ၏။ လူတို့သစ်ပင်များကိုခုတ်သကဲ့သို့ရန်သူ တို့သည် သူ့အားရဲတင်းများနှင့်တိုက်ခိုက်ကြ၏။
Egypt will hiss like a fleeing serpent, for the enemy will advance in force; with axes they will come against her like woodsmen cutting down trees.
23 ၂၃ သူတို့သည်သစ်တောကိုခုတ်လှဲသကဲ့သို့ တိုက်ခိုက်ကြ၏။ သူတို့၏လူများသည်မရေမတွက်နိုင်အောင် များပြား၍ သူတို့၏စစ်သူရဲများသည်၊အရေအတွက် အားဖြင့် ကျိုင်းကောင်များထက်ပင်များပြားကြ၏။
They will chop down her forest, declares the LORD, dense though it may be, for they are more numerous than locusts; they cannot be counted.
24 ၂၄ အီဂျစ်ပြည်သူတို့သည်အရှက်ကွဲရကြ လေပြီ။ သူတို့အားမြောက်အရပ်မှလူတို့က နှိမ်နင်းလိုက်ကြ၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
The Daughter of Egypt will be put to shame; she will be delivered into the hands of the people of the north.”
25 ၂၅ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့၏ဘုရားသခင် အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားက``ငါသည် သိဘိမြို့၌ရှိသောအမ္မုန်ဘုရားကိုအီဂျစ် ပြည်၊ အီဂျစ်ဘုရားများ၊ ဘုရင်များနှင့် အတူဆုံးမမည်။ အီဂျစ်ပြည်ဘုရင်နှင့် သူ့ကိုအားထားယုံကြည်သူမှန်သမျှကို ငါဆုံးမမည်။-
The LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: “Behold, I am about to punish Amon god of Thebes, along with Pharaoh, Egypt with her gods and kings, and those who trust in Pharaoh.
26 ၂၆ သူတို့ကိုသတ်ဖြတ်လိုသူဗာဗုလုန်ဘုရင် နေဗုခဒ်နေဇာနှင့်တပ်မတော်လက်သို့ငါ ပေးအပ်မည်။ သို့ရာတွင်နောင်အခါ၌လူတို့ သည်ရှေးကာလများကနည်းတူ အီဂျစ်ပြည် တွင်ပြန်လည်နေထိုင်ကြလိမ့်မည်။ ဤကား ငါထာဝရဘုရားမြွက်ထားသည့်စကား ဖြစ်၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
I will deliver them into the hands of those who seek their lives—of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. But after this, Egypt will be inhabited as in days of old, declares the LORD.
27 ၂၇ ``ငါ၏လူမျိုးတော်တို့၊မကြောက်ကြနှင့်။ ဣသရေလ ပြည်သားတို့၊ထိတ်လန့်တုန်လှုပ်မှုမဖြစ် ကြနှင့်။ သုံ့ပန်းများအဖြစ်နှင့်သင်တို့သေရကြ သောပြည်၊ ထိုဝေးလံသောပြည်မှသင်တို့အားငါကယ် ဆယ်မည်။ သင်တို့သည်ပြန်လာ၍ငြိမ်းချမ်းစွာနေထိုင် ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ ဘေးမဲ့လုံခြုံမှုရှိလိမ့်မည်။ အဘယ်သူမျှသင်တို့အားကြောက်လန့် စေလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်။
But you, O Jacob My servant, do not be afraid, and do not be dismayed, O Israel. For I will surely save you out of a distant place, your descendants from the land of their captivity! Jacob will return to quiet and ease, with no one to make him afraid.
28 ၂၈ ငါသည်သင်တို့ထံသို့ကြွလာ၍ သင်တို့အားကယ်တင်မည်။ သင်တို့အားငါကွဲလွင့်စေခဲ့ရာ နိုင်ငံတကာတို့ကိုငါဖျက်ဆီးမည်။ သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့ကိုမူဖျက်ဆီးမည် မဟုတ်။ ငါသည်သင်တို့အားအပြစ်ဒဏ်မခတ်ဘဲ ထားမည်မဟုတ်သော်လည်း၊ အပြစ်ဒဏ်ခတ်သောအခါ၌မူကားမျှတစွာ ဒဏ်ခတ်မည်။ ဤကားငါထာဝရဘုရားပြောကြားသည့် စကားဖြစ်၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
And you, My servant Jacob, do not be afraid, declares the LORD, for I am with you. Though I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have banished you, I will not completely destroy you. Yet I will discipline you justly, and will by no means leave you unpunished.”
