ဟဗက္ကုတ် 1
1 ၁ ဤသတင်းစကားသည်ပရောဖက်ဟဗက္ကုတ်အား ထာဝရဘုရားပေးတော်မူသောဗျာဒိတ်တော်ဖြစ်ပေသည်။
The prophecy which was revealed to the prophet Habakkuk.
2 ၂ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးအားအကြမ်းဖက်ခံရမှုမှကယ်တော်မူသည့်တိုင်အောင် ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်မကြားမချင်း``ကူမတော်မူပါ'' ဟုအဘယ်မျှကြာအောင်ဟစ်အော်တောင်းလျှောက်ရပါမည်နည်း။-
How long, O Jehovah, do I cry, and thou dost not hear! How long do I complain to thee of violence, and thou dost not save!
3 ၃ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်အဘယ်ကြောင့်ကျွန်တော်မျိုးအား ဤသို့သောဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခနှင့်ဆိုးညစ်မှုကိုကြုံတွေ့စေတော်မူပါသနည်း။ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးသည်အကြမ်းဖက်မှု၊ လုယက်ဖျက်ဆီးမှုတို့နှင့်ရင်ဆိုင်၍နေရပါ၏။ နေရာတကာတွင်ခိုက်ရန်ဖြစ်ပွားမှု၊ ငြင်းခုံမှုများကိုလည်းတွေ့မြင်ရပါ၏။-
Why dost thou suffer me to see iniquity, And why dost thou look upon wickedness? For spoiling and violence are before me; There is contention, and strife exalteth itself.
4 ၄ တရားဥပဒေသည်ပျော့ညံ့၍အသုံးမဝင်သဖြင့် အဘယ်အခါ၌တရားသဖြင့်စီရင်ဆုံးဖြတ်မှုမပြုနိုင်ကြပါ။ သူယုတ်မာတို့သည်သူတော်ကောင်းများကိုအနိုင်ရကြသည်ဖြစ်၍ တရားစီရင်မှုသည်အမှောက်မှောက်အမှားမှားဖြစ်လျက်ရှိပါတော့၏။
Therefore the law faileth, And judgment is not pronounced according to truth; For the wicked encompasseth the righteous, Therefore wrong judgment is pronounced.
5 ၅ ထိုအခါထာဝရဘုရားကမိမိလူမျိုးတော်အား``သင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ရှိလူမျိုးတကာကို ဆက်လက်စောင့်ဆိုင်းကြည့်ရှုနေကြလော့။ ထိုအခါသင်တို့တွေ့မြင်ရသည့်အမှုအတွက်အံ့သြသွားလိမ့်မည်။ ငါသည်သင်တို့ကြား၍ပင်မယုံနိုင်မည့်အမှုတစ်ခုကိုပြုမည်။-
Behold ye among the nations, and look! Yea, wonder, and be astonished! For I do a work in your days Which ye will not believe though it be told you.
6 ၆ ငါသည်ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ်ကောင်း၍အငြိမ်မနေတတ်သူဗာဗုလုန်အမျိုးသားတို့အားတန်ခိုးကြီးမားလာစေမည်။ သူတို့သည်အခြားနိုင်ငံများကိုနှိမ်နင်းရန် ကမ္ဘာမြေပြင်ကိုဖြတ်၍ချီတက်လာကြလိမ့်မည်။-
For behold, I raise up the Chaldeans, A fierce and swift people, Which go over the breadth of the earth, To take possession of dwelling-places that are not their own.
7 ၇ လူတို့အားကြောက်လန့်တုန်လှုပ်စေလျက် မာန်မာနထောင်လွှားကာတရားလက်လွတ်ပြုကျင့်ကြလိမ့်မည်။
They are terrible and dreadful; From themselves go forth their law and their dignity.
8 ၈ ``သူတို့၏မြင်းများသည်ကျားသစ်ထက်လျင်မြန်၍ အစာဆာလောင်နေသောဝံပုလွေထက်ပင်ကြောက်မက်ဖွယ်ကောင်း၏။ မြင်းစီးသူရဲတို့သည်မြင်းများကို ရပ်ဝေးမှအပြင်းနှင်၍လာကြ၏။ သူတို့၏မြင်းများသည်မြေကိုခွာဖြင့်ရှပ်ကြ၏။ သူတို့သည်အစာကိုချီသုတ်မည့်လင်းယုန်ငှက်ကဲ့သို့တစ်ရှိန်ထိုးမောင်းနှင်လာလေသည်။
Their horses are swifter than leopards, And fiercer than evening wolves. Their horsemen leap proudly; Their horsemen come from far; They fly like an eagle, hastening to devour.
9 ၉ ``သူတို့၏တပ်များသည်အပြင်းအထန်ရှေ့သို့ချီတက်လျက်တိုက်ခိုက်အောင်မြင်ကြကုန်၏။ သူတို့ဖမ်းဆီးရမိသည့်သုံ့ပန်းများမှာသဲလုံးနှင့်အမျှများပေသည်။-
All of them come for violence; The multitude of their faces is directed forwards, And they gather captives as sand.
10 ၁၀ သူတို့သည်ပြည့်ရှင်မင်းများကိုမထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုကြ၏။ မှူးကြီးမတ်ရာတို့ကိုပြက်ရယ်ပြုကြ၏။ သူတို့အားအဘယ်ခံတပ်မျှမတားမဆီးနိုင်။ သူတို့သည်မြေကတုတ်များကိုဖို့လုပ်၍ခံတပ်တို့ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်သိမ်းယူကြလေသည်။-
They also scoff at kings, And princes are to them a laughing-stock; They deride every stronghold, For they heap up earth and take it.
11 ၁၁ ထိုနောက်မိမိတို့၏တန်ခိုးအာဏာကို ဘုရားအမှတ်ဖြင့်ကိုးကွယ်ကြကုန်သောထိုသူတို့သည် လေကဲ့သို့တဟုန်တည်းပြင်းစွာဖြတ်ကျော်ထွက်ခွာသွားကြ၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။
Then their spirit is uplifted, and they transgress, and become guilty; This their strength is made their god.
12 ၁၂ အို ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်အစဦးကာလကပင်ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်တော်မူပါ၏။ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်ကျွန်တော်မျိုး၏ဘုရားဖြစ်တော်မူပါ၏။ သန့်ရှင်းမြင့်မြတ်တော်မူလျက်ထာဝရကာလတည်ရှိတော်မူ၏။ အို ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကျွန်တော်မျိုး၏ဘုရားသခင်ကွယ်ကာရာကျောက်``ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်ဗာဗုလုန်အမျိုးသားတို့ကိုရွေးချယ်တော်မူ၍ ကျွန်တော်မျိုးတို့အားအပြစ်ဒဏ်ခတ်နိုင်စေရန် သူတို့ကိုခွန်အားနှင့်ပြည့်စေတော်မူပြီ။-
Art thou not from everlasting, O Jehovah, my God, my Holy One? We shall not die! Thou, O Jehovah, hast appointed them for judgment; Thou, O Rock, hast ordained them for chastisement.
13 ၁၃ သို့ရာတွင်ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်ဆိုးညစ်သူသစ္စာဖောက်တို့အား အဘယ်သို့လျှင်သည်းခံနိုင်တော်မူပါသနည်း။ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်၏မျက်စိတော်တို့သည်အလွန်သန့်ရှင်းမြင့်မြတ်လှသည်ဖြစ်၍ဆိုးညစ်မှုကိုကြည့်မရပါ။ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်လူတို့ဒုစရိုက်ပြုကျင့်မှုကိုလည်းသည်းမခံနိုင်ပါ။ သို့ဖြစ်၍မိမိတို့ထက်ကိုယ်ကျင့်တရားကောင်းမွန်သူတို့အား ထိုသူတို့သုတ်သင်ပယ်ရှင်းကြသောအခါကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိတ်ဆိတ်နေတော်မူပါသနည်း။
Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, And canst not look on wickedness; Why then dost thou look on transgressors, And art silent, when the wicked swalloweth up the man that is more righteous than he?
14 ၁၄ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည်အဘယ်ကြောင့်လူတို့အားငါးများကဲ့သို့လည်းကောင်း၊ မိမိတို့အားအုပ်ချုပ်လမ်းညွှန်မည့်သူမရှိသည့်ပိုးအုံမွှားအုံကဲ့သို့သော်လည်းကောင်းဖြစ်စေတော်မူပါသနည်း။-
And why makest thou men as the fishes of the sea, As the reptiles that have no ruler?
15 ၁၅ ဗာဗုလုန်အမျိုးသားတို့သည်လူတို့အားငါးများသဖွယ် သံချိပ်များဖြင့်ဖမ်းဆီးကြပါ၏။ ပိုက်ကွန်များဖြင့်အုပ်ဖမ်းဆွဲထုတ်နိုင်သဖြင့်ဝမ်းမြောက်ဝမ်းသာဟစ်အော်ကြွေးကြော်ကြပါ၏။-
They take up all of them with the hook, They catch them in their net, And gather them in their drag; Therefore they rejoice and exult.
16 ၁၆ သူတို့သည်မိမိတို့ပိုက်ကွန်များကြောင့်စားဝတ်နေရေးအတွက်အလွန်ချောင်လည်ကြသဖြင့် ထိုပိုက်ကွန်များအားရှိခိုးဝတ်ပြုကာယဇ်များကိုပင်ပူဇော်ကြပါ၏။
Therefore they sacrifice to their net, And burn incense to their drag; Because by them their portion is fat, And their food plenteous.
17 ၁၇ သူတို့သည်မိမိတို့ဋ္ဌားကိုထာဝစဉ်အသုံးပြုလျက် လူမျိုးတကာတို့ကိုရက်စက်စွာသုတ်သင်ဖျက်ဆီးလျက်နေကြပါမည်လော။
Shall they therefore empty the net, And slay the nations continually without mercy?
