ထွက်မြောက်ရာ 17
1 ၁ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရား၏အမိန့်တော်အတိုင်းသိန် ဟုခေါ်သောတောကန္တာရမှထွက်၍ စခန်း တစ်ထောက်ပြီးတစ်ထောက်နားလျက်ခရီး သွားကြ၏။ သူတို့သည်ရေဖိဒိမ်အရပ်သို့ ရောက်၍စခန်းချကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင်ထို အရပ်၌သောက်စရာရေမရှိ။-
All the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] traveled from the wilderness of Cin [Clay], by their journeys, according to Adonai’s order, and encamped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.
2 ၂ ထိုအခါသူတို့သည်မောရှေအား``အကျွန်ုပ် တို့သောက်စရာရေပေးပါ'' ဟုညည်းညူ တောင်းဆိုကြ၏။ မောရှေက``အဘယ်ကြောင့်ညည်းညူကြ သနည်း။ ထာဝရဘုရားကိုအဘယ်ကြောင့် စုံစမ်းကြသနည်း'' ဟုပြန်၍ပြောလေ၏။
Therefore the people quarreled with Moses [Drawn out], and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moses [Drawn out] said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test Adonai?”
3 ၃ သို့ရာတွင်လူတို့သည်အလွန်ရေငတ်သဖြင့် မောရှေအားညည်းညူလျက်``အကျွန်ုပ်တို့နှင့် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့၏သားသမီးများ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်များ ကိုရေငတ်စေခြင်းငှာ အဘယ်ကြောင့်အီဂျစ် ပြည်မှထုတ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ပါသနည်း'' ဟုဆို ကြ၏။
The people were thirsty for water there; and the people murmured against Moses [Drawn out], and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt [Abode of slavery], to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”
4 ၄ ထိုအခါမောရှေသည် ထာဝရဘုရား ကို``အကျွန်ုပ်သည်ဤလူတို့အတွက်မည်ကဲ့ သို့ဖြေရှင်းပေးရပါမည်နည်း။ သူတို့သည် မကြာမီအကျွန်ုပ်အားခဲနှင့်ပစ်သတ်ကြ ပါလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုတောင်းပန်လျှောက်ထား လေ၏။
Moses [Drawn out] cried to Adonai, saying, “What shall I do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
5 ၅ ထာဝရဘုရားက မောရှေကို``သင်နှင့်ဣသ ရေလအမျိုးသားခေါင်းဆောင်အချို့တို့သည် လူအပေါင်းတို့ကိုဦးဆောင်၍ရှေ့သို့သွား လော့။ နိုင်းမြစ်ကိုရိုက်သောတောင်ဝှေးကိုယူ ၍သွားလော့။-
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Israel [God prevails] with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you struck the Nile, and go.
6 ၆ သိနာတောင်၌ရှိသောကျောက်ဆောင်အနီး တွင်ငါရပ်နေမည်။ သင်သည်ကျောက်ဆောင် ကိုရိုက်လော့။ ထိုကျောက်ဆောင်မှလူတို့ သောက်ရန်ရေစီးထွက်လာလိမ့်မည်'' ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။ မောရှေသည်ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားခေါင်းဆောင်တို့ရှေ့မှောက်တွင် ထာဝရ ဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသည့်အတိုင်းကျောက် ဆောင်ကိုရိုက်လေ၏။
Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock in Horeb [Desert]. You shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may drink.” Moses [Drawn out] did so in the sight of the elders of Israel [God prevails].
7 ၇ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့က``ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည်ငါတို့နှင့်အတူရှိပါသလား'' ဟုမေးလျက်မောရှေအားညည်းညူ၍ထာဝရ ဘုရားကိုစုံစမ်းကြသဖြင့် ထိုအရပ်ကို``မဿာ'' ဟူ၍လည်းကောင်း``မေရိဘ'' ဟူ၍လည်းကောင်း ခေါ်ဝေါ်သမုတ်ကြသတည်း။
He called the name of the place Massah [Testing], and Meribah [Quarreling], because the children of Israel [God prevails] quarreled, and because they tested Adonai, saying, “Is Adonai among us, or not?”
8 ၈ အာမလက်အမျိုးသားတို့သည် ရေဖိဒိမ် အရပ်သို့လာရောက်၍ ဣသရေလအမျိုး သားတို့ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်ကြ၏။-
Then Amalek [Man who licks up] came and fought with Israel [God prevails] in Rephidim.
9 ၉ မောရှေကယောရှုအား``သင်သည်နက်ဖြန်နေ့ တွင်အာမလက်အမျိုးသားတို့ကိုစစ်ချီ တိုက်ခိုက်ရန်လူအချို့ကိုရွေးလော့။ ငါသည် ထာဝရဘုရားအပ်နှင်းထားတော်မူသော တောင်ဝှေးကိုကိုင်လျက် တောင်ထိပ်ပေါ်တွင် ရပ်နေမည်'' ဟုဆို၏။-
Moses [Drawn out] said to Joshua [Yah Salvation], “Choose men for us, and go out, fight with Amalek [Man who licks up]. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with God’s rod in my hand.”
10 ၁၀ ယောရှုသည်မောရှေမှာကြားသည့်အတိုင်း အာမလက်အမျိုးသားတို့ကိုတိုက်ခိုက်ရန် စစ်ချီသွားနေစဉ်မောရှေ၊ အာရုန်နှင့်ဟုရ တို့သည်တောင်ထိပ်ပေါ်သို့တက်ကြ၏။-
So Joshua [Yah Salvation] did as Moses [Drawn out] had told him, and fought with Amalek [Man who licks up]; and Moses [Drawn out], Aaron [Light-bringer], and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
11 ၁၁ မောရှေသည်မိမိ၏လက်များကိုမြှောက်ထား သည့်အခါ ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ဘက် ကစစ်ရေးသာ၏။ သူ၏လက်များကိုချသည့် အခါအာမလက်အမျိုးသားတို့ဘက်က စစ်ရေးသာ၏။-
When Moses [Drawn out] held up his hand, Israel [God prevails] prevailed. When he let down his hand, Amalek [Man who licks up] prevailed.
12 ၁၂ မောရှေ၏လက်များညောင်းလာသောအခါ အာရုန်နှင့်ဟုရတို့သည် မောရှေအားကျောက် တုံးတစ်ခုပေါ်တွင်ထိုင်စေပြီးလျှင် တစ်ဘက် စီ၌ရပ်လျက်မောရှေ၏လက်များကိုချီပင့် ထားကြ၏။ သူတို့နှစ်ဦးသည်မောရှေ၏ လက်များကိုနေဝင်သည့်တိုင်အောင်ချီပင့် ထားကြသည်ဖြစ်ရာ၊-
But Moses [Drawn out]’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron [Light-bringer] and Hur held up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side. His hands were steady until sunset.
Joshua [Yah Salvation] defeated Amalek [Man who licks up] and his people with the edge of the sword.
14 ၁၄ ထိုနောက်ထာဝရဘုရားကမောရှေအား``ဤ အောင်ပွဲအကြောင်းကိုအမှတ်တရဖြစ်စေ ရန် ရေး၍မှတ်တမ်းတင်လော့။ ငါသည်အာမလက် အမျိုးသားတို့ကိုလုံးဝဖျက်ဆီးပစ်မည် ဖြစ်ကြောင်းယောရှုအားပြောလော့'' ဟုမိန့် တော်မူ၏။-
Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua [Yah Salvation]: that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek [Man who licks up] from under the sky.”
Moses [Drawn out] built an altar, and called its name Adonai our Banner.
16 ၁၆ ထိုနောက်မောရှေက``ထာဝရဘုရား၏အလံ တော်ကိုမြှောက်ထားလော့။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အာမလက်အမျိုးသားတို့အားထာဝစဉ် တိုက်ခိုက်တော်မူမည်'' ဟုဆိုလေ၏။
He said, “Yah has sworn: ‘Adonai will have war with Amalek [Man who licks up] from generation to generation.’”
