After this Paul left Athens and went to Corinth.
2 ၂ ထိုမြို့တွင်ပုန္တုပြည်သားအာကုလနာမည်ရှိ သော ယုဒအမျိုးသားတစ်ယောက်နှင့်သူ၏ဇနီး ပြစ်ကိလကိုတွေ့၏။ ယုဒအမျိုးသားအပေါင်း တို့ရောမမြို့မှထွက်ခွာသွားရန် ကလောဒိဘုရင် အမိန့်ထုတ်ဆင့်သဖြင့် သူတို့သည်မကြာမီက ပင်ဣတလိပြည်မှထွက်ခွာလာခဲ့ကြသူများ ဖြစ်၏။-
Here he found a certain Jew named Aquila, a native of Pontus, who had recently come from Italy with his wife, Priscilla, because Claudius had ordered all Jews to leave Rome.
3 ၃ ထိုသူတို့သည်ပေါလုကဲ့သို့သားရေအလုပ် သမားများဖြစ်ကြ၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ပေါလုသည် သူတို့ထံသို့သွားပြီးလျှင် သူတို့နှင့်အတူ နေ၍အလုပ်လုပ်၏။-
Paul came to them, and because he was of the same trade with them, he lodged with them, and worked with them - for by trade they were tentmakers.
4 ၄ ယုဒအမျိုးသားနှင့်ဂရိအမျိုးသားများ နားလည်သဘောပေါက်လာကြစေရန် သူသည် ဥပုသ်နေ့တိုင်းတရားဇရပ်တွင်တရားဆွေး နွေး၏။
Every Sabbath he used to preach in the synagogue, and tried to persuade both Jews and Greeks.
5 ၅ သိလနှင့်တိမောသေတို့မာကေဒေါနိပြည် မှရောက်လာကြသောအခါ ပေါလုသည်တရား ဟောခြင်းအမှုကိုသာဆောင်ရွက်လျက် မေရှိယ သည်သခင်ယေရှုပင်ဖြစ်ကြောင်းယုဒအမျိုး သားတို့အားသေချာစွာရှင်းပြ၏။-
And when Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was engrossed in his message, earnestly testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Messiah.
6 ၆ ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့သည်သူ့ကိုအတိုက်အခံ ပြု၍ ပုတ်ခတ်ပြောဆိုသောအခါပေါလုသည် မိမိအဝတ်မှဖုံများကိုခါချ၍ ``သင်တို့ သေကြေပျက်စီးကြလျှင်သင်တို့၏တာဝန် ပင်ဖြစ်၏။ ငါ့မှာတာဝန်မရှိတော့ပြီ။ ယခု မှအစပြု၍ငါသည်လူမျိုးခြားတို့အား တရားဟောတော့အံ့'' ဟုဆို၏။-
But as they opposed him and abused him, he shook out his garments in protest, and said. "Your blood be upon your own hands. I am clean. From now on I will go to the Gentiles."
7 ၇ ထိုနောက်ထိုသူတို့ထံမှထွက်ခွာ၍ ဘုရား သခင်ကိုကိုးကွယ်သူတိတုယုတ္တုနာမည် ရှိသော ယုဒအမျိုးသားမဟုတ်သူ၏အိမ် သို့သွားရောက်တည်းခိုလေသည်။ ထိုအိမ်သည် တရားဇရပ်နှင့်ကပ်လျက်ရှိ၏။-
So he left the place, and went into the house of a man named Titus Justus, a worshiper of God, whose house adjoined the synagogue.
8 ၈ တရားဇရပ်အုပ်ချုပ်မှူးကရိပ္ပုနှင့်အိမ်သူ အိမ်သားအပေါင်းတို့သည် သခင်ဘုရားကို ယုံကြည်သူများဖြစ်လာကြ၏။ အခြား ကောရိန္သုမြို့သားအမြောက်အမြားသည် လည်း နှုတ်ကပတ်တရားတော်ကိုကြားရ၍ ယုံကြည်ကာဗတ္တိဇံမင်္ဂလာကိုခံယူကြ၏။
And Crispus, the warden of the synagogue, believed on the Lord, with all his household; and many of the Corinthians from time to time listened, believed, and were baptized.
9 ၉ တစ်ညသ၌ပေါလုသည် ဗျာဒိတ်ရူပါရုံကို မြင်၏။ ဗျာဒိတ်ရူပါရုံတွင်သခင်ဘုရားက ``ငါသည်သင်နှင့်အတူရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍မ ကြောက်နှင့်။ ဆက်လက်ဟောပြောလော့။ လက် မလျှော့နှင့်။-
And the Lord said to Paul in a vision, by night. "Have no fear; go on speaking, and do not keep silent;
10 ၁၀ အဘယ်သူမျှသင့်ကိုဘေးအန္တရာယ်မပြုနိုင်။ ဤမြို့ရှိလူအမြောက်အမြားတို့သည် ငါ့ လူစုတော်ဝင်များဖြစ်ကြ၏'' ဟုမိန့်တော် မူ၏။-
"for I am with you, and no one shall set upon you to injure you; for I have very many people in this city."
11 ၁၁ သို့ဖြစ်၍ပေါလုသည်ထိုမြို့တွင်တစ်နှစ်နှင့် ခြောက်လမျှနေထိုင်ကာ ဘုရားသခင်၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တရားတော်ကိုဟောပြောသွန် သင်လျက်နေ၏။
So he lived there a year and six months and continued to teach them the word of God.
12 ၁၂ ဂါလျုန်သည်အခါယပြည်ဘုရင်ခံဖြစ်စဉ် အခါ ယုဒအမျိုးသားအပေါင်းတို့သည် စုရုံးလျက် ပေါလုကိုဖမ်းဆီးပြီးလျှင် တရားခွင်ရှေ့သို့ခေါ်ဆောင်ခဲ့ကြ၏။-
But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose against Paul, and brought him before the tribunal.
13 ၁၃ သူတို့က ``ဤသူသည်ပညတ်တရားတော် နှင့်ဆန့်ကျင်၍ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုကိုးကွယ် ကြစေရန်လူတို့အားသွေးဆောင်လျက် နေပါသည်'' ဟုလျှောက်ထားကြ၏။-
"This fellow," they said, "is persuading men to offer unlawful worship to God."
14 ၁၄ ပေါလုသည်ချေပပြောဆိုမည်အပြုတွင် ဂါလျုန်က ``ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့၊ ဤအမှု သည်ဆိုးယုတ်သောပြစ်မှုသို့မဟုတ်လိမ်လည် မှုဖြစ်ပါမူ ငါသည်သင်တို့၏စွပ်စွဲချက်ကို စိတ်ရှည်လက်ရှည်နားထောင်နိုင်ပေမည်။-
Paul was about to open his mouth, when Gallio said to the Jews. "If it had been some misdemeanor or wicked villainy, it would have been within reason for me to listen to you Jews;
15 ၁၅ သို့ရာတွင်ဤအမှု၏စကားများ၊ နာမည် များသည်သင်တို့၏ပညတ်တရားနှင့်သက် ဆိုင်သည့်အမှုဖြစ်သဖြင့် သင်တို့ကိုယ်တိုင် ပင်စီရင်ဆုံးဖြတ်ကြလော့။ ထိုအမှုမျိုး ကိုငါမစီရင်ပြီ'' ဟုဆို၍၊-
but as these are merely questions about words and names and your own law, you yourselves must see to it. I am not willing to be a judge of these matters."
And he drove them from the tribunal.
17 ၁၇ ထိုသူတို့သည်တရားဇရပ်အုပ်ချုပ်ရေးမှူး သုဿင်ကိုဖမ်းဆီး၍တရားခွင်ရှေ့တွင်ရိုက် နှက်ကြ၏။ သို့ရာတွင်ဂါလျုန်သည်ထိုအပြု အမူကိုလုံးဝဂရုမစိုက်ဘဲနေ၏။
Then they all laid hold of Sosthenes, the warden of the synagogue, and beat him in front of the tribunal; but Gallio took no notice.
18 ၁၈ ပေါလုသည်ကောရိန္သုမြို့တွင်ရက်ပေါင်းများ စွာနေ၏။ ထိုနောက်ညီအစ်ကိုတို့ကိုနှုတ်ဆက်၍ ပြစ်ကိလ၊ အာကုလတို့နှင့်အတူရှုရိပြည် သို့သင်္ဘောလွှင့်လေ၏။ ကင်ခြေမြို့မှသင်္ဘော မထွက်မီ သူသည်ဘုရားသခင်အားသစ္စာ ကတိပြုခဲ့သဖြင့်မိမိ၏ဦးခေါင်းကို ရိတ်၏။-
And Paul after remaining in Corinth some time longer, took leave of the brothers, and sailed away to Syria, accompanied by Priscilla and Aquila. As Paul was under a vow, he had his head shaved at Cenchrea.
19 ၁၉ ဧဖက်မြို့သို့ရောက်သောအခါပေါလုသည် ပြစ်ကိလနှင့်အာကုလတို့ကိုမြို့တွင်ထား ခဲ့၏။ သူသည်တရားဇရပ်သို့ဝင်ပြီးလျှင် ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့နှင့်တရားစကား ဆွေးနွေး၏။-
When they came to Ephesus he left them there; but he himself entered into the synagogue and reasoned with the Jews.
20 ၂၀ လူတို့သည်မိမိတို့ထံတွင်ကြာမြင့်စွာနေ ထိုင်ရန် တောင်းပန်ကြသော်လည်းပေါလုသည် ငြင်းဆန်လျက်၊-
When they begged him to stay longer, he would not consent,
21 ၂၁ ``ဘုရားသခင်အလိုတော်ရှိလျှင်သင်တို့ ထံသို့ငါပြန်လာခဲ့မည်'' ဟုဆိုပြီးလျှင် သင်္ဘောလွှင့်လေ၏။-
but said, as he took leave of them, "I will return again to you, if God will."
22 ၂၂ သူသည်ကဲသရိမြို့သို့ရောက်လျှင်သင်္ဘောမှ ဆင်းပြီးနောက် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့သွား၍ အသင်းတော်ကိုနှုတ်ဆက်၏။ ထိုနောက်အန္တိ အုတ်မြို့သို့သွား၏။-
Then, setting sail from Ephesus, he landed at Caesarea; he went up to Jerusalem and saluted the church, and came down to Antioch.
23 ၂၃ ထိုမြို့တွင်ကာလအတန်ကြာနေပြီးနောက် ခရီးထွက်ခဲ့ရာဂလာတိပြည်နှင့်ဖြုဂိ ပြည်တို့သို့ရောက်ရှိလျက် ယုံကြည်သူ အပေါင်းတို့ကိုကြံ့ခိုင်စေလေသည်။
After spending some time there, he set out and went through the region of Galatia and Phrygia, in order, and strengthened all the disciples.
24 ၂၄ အာလေဇန္ဒြိမြို့သားအာပေါလုနာမည်ရှိသော ယုဒအမျိုးသားတစ်ယောက်သည်ဧဖက်မြို့သို့ ရောက်လာ၏။ သူသည်အဟောအပြောကောင်း၍ ကျမ်းစာတော်ကိုအထူးပင်တတ်ကျွမ်းသူ ဖြစ်၏။-
Now a certain Jew named Apollos, a native of Alexandria, a learned man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.
25 ၂၅ သခင်ဘုရား၏လမ်းစဉ်တော်အကြောင်းကို စုံလင်စွာလေ့လာသင်ယူထားသူလည်းဖြစ် ၏။ သူသည်သခင်ယေရှုနှင့်သက်ဆိုင်သော တိကျမှန်ကန်သည့်အကြောင်းပြချက်များ ကို စိတ်အားထက်သန်စွာဟောပြောသွန်သင်၏။ သို့သော်သူသည်ယောဟန်၏ဗတ္တိဇံကိုသာ သိ၏။-
He had been instructed in the ways of the Lord, and being full of zeal, he used to speak and to teach accurately the facts about Jesus, although he knew only the baptism of John.
26 ၂၆ သူသည်တရားဇရပ်တွင်ရဲရင့်စွာဟောပြော လေ၏။ သူ၏ဟောပြောချက်ကိုကြားရသော ပြစ်ကိလနှင့်အာကုလတို့သည် သူ့ကိုအိမ် သို့ခေါ်ဖိတ်၍ ဘုရားသခင်၏လမ်းစဉ်တော် အကြောင်းကိုပိုမိုတိကျစွာရှင်းလင်းပေး ကြ၏။-
He began to speak boldly in the synagogue; and when Priscilla and Aquila heard him they took him home and explained to him more accurately the way of God.
27 ၂၇ သူသည်အခါယပြည်သို့သွားလိုသဖြင့် ဧဖက် မြို့ရှိညီအစ်ကိုများသည်သူ၏အတွက် အခါ ယပြည်ရှိတပည့်တော်တို့ထံသို့မိတ်ဆက် စာရေးခြင်းအားဖြင့်ကူညီကြ၏။ သူသည် အခါယပြည်သို့ရောက်သောအခါ ဘုရား သခင်၏ကျေးဇူးတော်အားဖြင့်ယုံကြည် လာသူများအားများစွာအကူအညီ ပေး၏။-
When he wished to cross over into Achaia, the brothers encouraged him, and wrote to the disciples in Corinth to receive him. On his arrival he mightily helped those who through grace had believed,
28 ၂၈ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်သူသည်လူထုရှေ့ ဆွေးနွေးပွဲများတွင် ကျမ်းစာတော်မှအထောက် အထားများဖြင့် သခင်ယေရှုသည်မေရှိယ ပင်ဖြစ်ကြောင်းကို ယုဒအမျိုးသားတို့အား ပိုင်နိုင်စွာချေပပြောဆိုသောကြောင့်ဖြစ်၏။
for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public argument, proving to them from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Messiah.
