၂ ပေတရု 3
1 ၁ ငါ၏ချစ်ဆွေတို့၊ ဤစာသည်သင်တို့ထံသို့ ဒုတိယအကြိမ်ငါရေးလိုက်သောစာဖြစ်၏။ ငါသည်ဤစာနှစ်စောင်လုံး၌မြင့်မြတ် သန့်ရှင်းသူပရောဖက်များ အခါတစ်ပါးက ဟောကြားခဲ့သည့်စကားများကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ သင်တို့၏တမန်တော်များမှတစ်ဆင့်ပေးအပ် ခဲ့သည့်ကယ်တင်ရှင်သခင်ဘုရား၏ပညတ် တော်ကိုလည်းကောင်း သင်တို့ကြည်လင်သော ဉာဏ်ဖြင့်နားလည်စေရန်ယင်းတို့ကိုပြန် လည်သတိရစေ၏။-
This second letter I now write to you, beloved; in both of these I arouse your pure mind to remembrance,
2 ၂
that you may be mindful of the words formerly spoken by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Savior:
3 ၃ အဆုံးစွန်သောကာလ၌မိမိတို့၏ကိလေ သာစိတ်အလိုသို့လိုက်၍ အသက်ရှင်သောသူ များပေါ်ပေါက်လိမ့်မည်ဖြစ်ကြောင်းသင်တို့ ဦးစွာနားလည်ရကြမည်။ ထိုသူတို့သည် သင်တို့အားပြက်ရယ်ပြုလျက်၊-
knowing this first, that there will come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,
4 ၄ `သခင်ဘုရားသည်မိမိတစ်ဖန်ကြွလာ တော်မူမည်ဟုကတိထားတော်မူခဲ့သည် မဟုတ်ပါလော။ ထိုကတိတော်သည်အဘယ် သို့ဖြစ်လေပြီနည်း။ ငါတို့မိဘများကား သေလွန်ကြလေပြီ။ သို့ရာတွင်ခပ်သိမ်း သောအမှုအရာတို့သည်ကမ္ဘာလောကကို ဘုရားသခင်ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူချိန်ကရှိ ခဲ့သည့်အတိုင်းပင်ရှိနေသေးပါသည် တကား' ဟုဆိုကြလိမ့်မည်။-
and saying: Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
5 ၅ ဘုရားသခင်သည်ရှေးကာလ၌မိုးကောင်း ကင်နှင့်ကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးကိုအမိန့်တော်ဖြင့် ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူကြောင်းကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ ကိုယ် တော်သည်ကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးကိုရေထဲမှရေ အားဖြင့်ပေါ်ပေါက်စေတော်မူကြောင်းကို လည်းကောင်း၊-
For they are willingly ignorant of this, that by the word of God, the heavens of old had their being as also the earth consisting of water and subsisting by water,
6 ၆ ရှေးကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးကိုရေဖြင့်ပင်လျှင်လွှမ်း မိုးဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူခဲ့ကြောင်းကိုလည်း ကောင်းသူတို့သည်တမင်သက်သက်မေ့ လျော့ကြ၏။-
by which things the world that then was, having been overflowed with water, perished.
7 ၇ သို့ရာတွင်ဘုရားသခင်သည်ယခုလက်ရှိ မိုးကောင်းကင်နှင့်ကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးကိုမီးဖြင့် ဖျက်ဆီးရာနေ့တိုင်အောင် ထိုအမိန့်တော် အားဖြင့်ပင်လျှင်ဆက်လက်တည်ရှိစေ တော်မူပေသည်။ ထိုနေ့၌ဘုရားတရား မဲ့သောသူတို့သည်တရားစီရင်ဖျက်ဆီး ခြင်းကိုခံရကြလိမ့်မည်။
But the heavens and the earth that now are, by the same word are kept in store, reserved for fire against the day of judgment, and perdition of ungodly men.
8 ၈ သို့ရာတွင်ငါ၏ချစ်ဆွေတို့၊ ထာဝရဘုရား ၏အဖို့တစ်ရက်သည်နှစ်တစ်ထောင်ကဲ့သို့လည်း ကောင်း၊ နှစ်တစ်ထောင်သည်တစ်ရက်ကဲ့သို့လည်း ကောင်းဖြစ်သည်ကိုမမေ့လျော့ကြနှင့်။-
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 ၉ လူအချို့တို့ထင်မှတ်သကဲ့သို့ထာဝရ ဘုရားသည် မိမိ၏ကတိတော်ကိုအကောင် အထည်ဖော်ရန်နှောင့်နှေးလျက်နေတော်မူ သည်မဟုတ်။ မည်သူမျှမပျက်စီးဘဲလူတိုင်း နောင်တရစေရန်အလိုတော်ရှိ၍သင်တို့ ကိုသည်းခံတော်မူပေသည်။
The Lord does not delay concerning his promise, as some men count delay, but he is long-suffering toward us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 ၁၀ သူခိုးလာသကဲ့သို့ထာဝရဘုရား၏ နေ့ရက်သည်ကျရောက်လာလိမ့်မည်။ ယင်း နေ့ရက်၌မိုးကောင်းကင်သည်အသံမြည် ဟီးလျက်ကွယ်ပျောက်သွားလိမ့်မည်။ ကြယ် တာရာများသည်လည်းကျွမ်းလောင်ကြ လိမ့်မည်။ ထိုအခါကမ္ဘာမြေကြီးနှင့်တကွ မြေပေါ်တွင်ရှိသမျှသောအရာတို့သည် ပျောက်ကွယ်သွားလိမ့်မည်။-
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief, in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, and the earth, and the works that are on it, shall be burned up.
11 ၁၁ ဤအရာအားလုံးတို့သည်ဤသို့ပျက်စီး သွားရမည်ဆိုပါမူ သင်တို့သည်အဘယ် သို့သောသူများဖြစ်သင့်ကြသနည်း။ သင် တို့သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏နေ့ရက်ကိုစောင့် မျှော်၍ ထိုနေ့ရက်အမြန်ကျရောက်လာ စေရန်ကြိုးစားအားထုတ်လျက်နေကြစဉ် မိမိတို့ကိုယ်ကိုဖြူစင်သန့်ရှင်းစေပြီး လျှင်ဘုရားသခင်အားဆက်ကပ်သင့်ကြ ၏။ ထိုနေ့ရက်၌မိုးကောင်းကင်သည်မီးသင့် လောင်ကျွမ်း၍ပျက်စီးလိမ့်မည်။ ကြယ်တာ ရာများသည်လည်းအပူကြောင့်အရည် ပျော်ကြလိမ့်မည်။-
Seeing, then, that all these things shall be dissolved, what sort of persons ought you to be in all holy behavior, and godliness,

looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, because of which coming the heavens shall dis solve in fire, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat.
13 ၁၃ သို့ရာတွင်ငါတို့သည်ဘုရားသခင်ကတိ ထားတော်မူသည့်ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရား တည်ရာမိုးကောင်းကင်သစ်နှင့်မြေကြီး သစ်ကိုစောင့်မျှော်လျက်နေကြ၏။
But we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which dwells righteousness.
14 ၁၄ သို့ဖြစ်၍ချစ်ဆွေတို့၊ သင်တို့သည်ထိုနေ့ရက် ကိုစောင့်မျှော်လျက်နေကြစဉ် ဘုရားသခင် ၏ရှေ့တော်၌စိတ်နှလုံးဖြူစင်သန့်ရှင်း အပြစ်ကင်းစေရန်လည်းကောင်း၊ ကိုယ်တော် နှင့်ငြိမ်းချမ်းမှုရရှိ၍နှစ်သက်လက်ခံဖွယ် ဖြစ်စေရန်လည်းကောင်း အစွမ်းကုန်ကြိုးစား အားထုတ်ကြလော့။-
Wherefore, beloved, seeing that you expect such things, earnestly strive, by being spotless and blameless, to be found by him in peace:
15 ၁၅ ငါတို့ချစ်သောညီအစ်ကိုပေါလုသည်ဘုရား သခင်ပေးသနားတော်မူသည့်ဉာဏ်ပညာဖြင့် သင်တို့အားရေးသားဖော်ပြခဲ့သည့်အတိုင်း ငါတို့ထာဝရဘုရားသည်စောင့်ဆိုင်းသည်းခံ တော်မူသည်မှာ သင်တို့ကယ်တင်ခြင်းခံရရန် အတွက်အခါအခွင့်ပေးခြင်းပင်ဖြစ်ကြောင်း မှတ်ယူကြလော့။-
and count the long-suffering of our Lord, salvation, even as our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, has written to you;
16 ၁၆ ပေါလုသည်ဤအကြောင်းအရာနှင့်ပတ်သက် ၍မိမိရေးသမျှသောစာတို့တွင်ဤအတိုင်း ပင်ဖော်ပြထား၏။ သူ၏စာများတွင်ပါရှိသည့် အကြောင်းအရာအချို့တို့မှာနားလည်ရန် ခက်သဖြင့် အသိပညာမဲ့၍စိတ်မတည် မငြိမ်သူတို့သည် အနက်အဋ္ဌိပ္ပါယ်အလွဲလွဲ အမှားမှားကောက်ယူတတ်ကြ၏။ သူတို့သည် အခြားကျမ်းပုဒ်များ၏အနက်အဋ္ဌိပ္ပါယ်ကို လည်းဤနည်းတူကောက်ယူသဖြင့်မိမိတို့ ကိုယ်တိုင်ပျက်စီးခြင်းငှာပြုကြ၏။
as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 ၁၇ သို့ရာတွင်မိတ်ဆွေတို့၊ သင်တို့သည်ဤအကြောင်း အရာများကိုသိပြီးသည်ဖြစ်သည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် သင်တို့သည်တရားမဲ့သူတို့၏မှားယွင်းသော လမ်းသို့မလိုက်မပါမိကြစေရန်နှင့် မိမိ တို့ခိုင်ခံ့တည်ကြည်စွာရပ်တည်ရာမှမရွေ့ မလျော့ကြစေရန်သတိပြုကြလော့။-
Do you, therefore, beloved, since you know these things beforehand, beware, lest, being led away with the error of the wicked, you fall from your own steadfastness.
18 ၁၈ သင်တို့သည်ငါတို့၏အရှင်သခင်နှင့်ကယ်တင် ရှင်ဖြစ်တော်မူသောယေရှုခရစ်၌လည်းကောင်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုသိကျွမ်းခြင်း ၌လည်းကောင်းကြီးပွားကြလော့။ ထိုအရှင် သည်ယခုမှစ၍ထာဝရကာလပတ်လုံး ဘုန်းအသရေထွန်းတောက်တော်မူပါစေ သတည်း။ အာမင်။ ရှင်ပေတရုသြဝါဒစာဒုတိယစောင်ပြီး၏။ (aiōn g165)
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (aiōn g165)
