၁ ဓမ္မရာဇဝင် 1
1 ၁ ဧဖရိမ်တောင်ကုန်းဒေသရှိရာမမြို့တွင် ဧလကာနဟုနာမည်တွင်သောလူတစ် ယောက်ရှိ၏။ သူသည်ဧဖရိမ်အနွယ်ဝင်ဖြစ် ၍အဖမှာယေရောဟံ၊ အဖိုးကားဧလိ ဖြစ်၏။ သူသည်ဇုဖသားချင်းစု၊ တောဟူ အိမ်ထောင်စုဝင်ဖြစ်သတည်း။-
Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:
2 ၂ ဧလကာနတွင်ဟန္နနှင့်ပေနိန္နဟူသောမယား နှစ်ယောက်ရှိ၏။ ပေနိန္နတွင်သားသမီးများရှိ ၍ဟန္နမှာမရှိချေ။-
And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.
3 ၃ ဧလကာနသည်အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ထာဝရ ဘုရားအားဝတ်ပြုကိုးကွယ်ရန် ရာမမြို့မှ ရှိလောမြို့သို့နှစ်စဉ်နှစ်တိုင်းသွားရောက်၏။ ထိုမြို့တွင်ဧလိ၏သားများဖြစ်ကြသော ဟောဖနိနှင့်ဖိနဟတ်တို့သည် ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်များအဖြစ်ဖြင့် ဆောင်ရွက်လျက်ရှိကြ၏။-
And this man went up from his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice to the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there.
4 ၄ ဧလကာနသည်ယဇ်ပူဇော်သည့်အခါ ပေနိန္န နှင့်သားသမီးတို့အားဝေစုတစ်စုစီခွဲဝေ ပေး၏။-
And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:
5 ၅ ဟန္နကိုမူအထူးဝေစုပေး၏။ ထာဝရဘုရား သည်ဟန္နအားသားသမီးမွေးဖွားခွင့်ကိုပေး တော်မမူသော်လည်း ဧလကာနသည်ဟန္န အားလွန်စွာချစ်မြတ်နိုးလေသည်။-
But to Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had closed up her womb.
6 ၆ ဟန္နတွင်သားသမီးမရသဖြင့်သူ၏ပြိုင် ဘက်ဖြစ်သူ ပေနိန္နသည်ဟန္နအားရှုတ်ချကာ စိတ်ဒုက္ခပေးလေ့ရှိ၏။-
And her adversary also provoked her greatly, to make her fret, because the LORD had closed up her womb.
7 ၇ ဤအတိုင်းတစ်နှစ်ပြီးတစ်နှစ်လွန်ခဲ့၏။ သူတို့ သည်ထာဝရဘုရား၏အိမ်တော်သို့သွားရောက် သည့်အခါတိုင်း ပေနိန္နသည်ဟန္နအားစိတ်ဒုက္ခ ရောက်စေသဖြင့် ဟန္နသည်အဘယ်အစားအစာ ကိုမျှမစားဘဲငို၍သာနေတတ်၏။-
And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.
8 ၈ သူ၏ခင်ပွန်းဧလကာနက``ဟန္န၊ သင်သည် အဘယ်ကြောင့်ငိုကြွေးနေပါသနည်း။ အဘယ် ကြောင့်အစားအစာမစားသောက်ဘဲနေပါ သနည်း။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်အစဉ်ပင်စိတ်မချမ်းမ သာဖြစ်၍နေပါသနည်း။ ငါသည်သင်၏အဖို့ သားတစ်ကျိပ်ထက်အဖိုးထိုက်သည်မဟုတ်ပါ လော'' ဟုမေးလေ့ရှိ၏။
Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?
9 ၉ အခါတစ်ပါး၌သူတို့သည်ရှိလောမြို့ရှိထာဝရ ဘုရား၏အိမ်တော်တွင် အစားအစာစားသောက် ကြပြီးသောအခါ ဟန္နသည်စိတ်မချမ်းမသာ ဖြစ်လျက်ထ၍ပြင်းပြစွာငိုယိုကာ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ထံတော်သို့ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာပြု လေ၏။ (ထိုအခါဧလိသည်တံခါးအနီး မိမိထိုင်နေကျနေရာတွင်ထိုင်လျက်နေ သတည်း။-)
So Hannah rose after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
10 ၁၀
And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the LORD, and wept bitterly.
11 ၁၁ ဟန္နက``အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၊ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်၏ကျွန်မကိုရှုမြင်တော်မူပါ။ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်ကျွန်မ၏ဒုက္ခကိုရှုမှတ်တော် မူလျက်အောက်မေ့သတိရတော်မူပါ။ မေ့ လျော့တော်မမူပါနှင့်။ ကိုယ်တော်ရှင်သည် ကိုယ်တော်၏ကျွန်မအားသားဆုကိုပေး တော်မူလျှင် သူ့ကိုအသက်ရှင်သမျှကာလ ပတ်လုံးကိုယ်တော်ရှင်အားဆက်ကပ်ပူဇော် ပါမည်။ သူ၏ဆံပင်ကိုလည်းအဘယ် အခါ၌မျှမဖြတ်မရိတ်စေပါ'' ဟုကျိန်ဆိုကတိပြုလေ၏။
And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thy handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thy handmaid, but wilt give to thy handmaid a son, then I will give him to the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
12 ၁၂ ဟန္နသည်အချိန်ကြာမြင့်စွာဆိတ်ဆိတ်ဆု တောင်းပတ္ထနာပြု၏။ ဧလိသည်သူ၏နှုတ် ကိုကြည့်ရှုလျက်နေ၏။-
And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli observed her mouth.
13 ၁၃ ဟန္နသည်ဆိတ်ဆိတ်ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာပြု၍နေ သဖြင့် သူ၏နှုတ်ခမ်းတို့သည်လှုပ်ရှားလျက်ရှိ သော်လည်းအသံကားမထွက်။ သို့ဖြစ်၍သူ့ အားအရက်မူးသည်ဟုထင်မှတ်သဖြင့်၊-
Now Hannah, spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she was drunk.
14 ၁၄ ဧလိက``သင်သည်အဘယ်မျှကြာအရက်မူး လျက်နေပါသနည်း။ အရက်ကိုကြဉ်ရှောင် လော့'' ဟုဆို၏။
And Eli said to her, How long wilt thou be drunk? put away thy wine from thee.
15 ၁၅ ဟန္နက``အရှင်၊ ကျွန်မသည်အရက်မမူးပါ။ အရက်မသောက်ပါ။ ကျွန်မသည်အလွန်ပင် စိတ်ပျက်၍ မိမိ၏ဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခကိုရင်ဖွင့်ကာ ထာဝရဘုရားထံတွင်ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာ ပြုလျက်နေခဲ့ပါ၏။-
And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
16 ၁၆ ကျွန်မအားတန်ဖိုးမရှိသည့်မိန်းမဟုမထင် မှတ်ပါနှင့်။ ကျွန်မသည်အလွန်စိတ်မချမ်းမသာ ဖြစ်သဖြင့် ဤသို့ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာပြုလျက်နေ ခြင်းဖြစ်ပါ၏'' ဟုပြန်၍လျှောက်၏။
Count not thy handmaid for a wicked woman: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I been speaking.
17 ၁၇ ဧလိက``စိတ်ချမ်းသာစွာသွားပါလော့။ ဣသရေလ အမျိုးသားတို့ကိုးကွယ်သောထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်တောင်းလျှောက်သည်အတိုင်းပေးသနားတော် မူပါစေသော'' ဟုဆို၏။
Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
18 ၁၈ ဟန္နကလည်း``ကျွန်မသည်အရှင်ပေးသည့်ကောင်း ချီးမင်္ဂလာကိုခံရပါစေသော'' ဟုလျှောက်လေ၏။ ထိုနောက်သူသည်စိတ်သက်သာမှုရလျက်ထွက် ခွာသွားပြီးလျှင် အစားအစာအနည်းငယ်ကို စားလေ၏။
And she said, Let thy handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and ate, and her countenance was no more sad.
19 ၁၉ နောက်တစ်နေ့၌ဧလကာနနှင့်အိမ်ထောင်စုသား တို့သည် နံနက်စောစောထ၍ဘုရားသခင်အား ကိုးကွယ်ဝတ်ပြုကြ၏။ ထိုနောက်ရာမမြို့နေအိမ် သို့ပြန်ကြ၏။ ဧလကာနသည်သူ၏ဇနီးဟန္န နှင့်ဆက်ဆံလေ၏။ ဘုရားသခင်သည်ဟန္န၏ ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာကိုနားညောင်းတော်မူသဖြင့်၊-
And they rose in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
20 ၂၀ ဟန္နသည်ကိုယ်ဝန်ဆောင်၍သားယောကျာ်းကိုဖွား မြင်လေသည်။ သူက``ငါသည်ထာဝရဘုရား အားတောင်းခံသဖြင့်ဤသားကိုရ၏'' ဟုဆို ပြီးလျှင်ရှမွေလဟုနာမည်မှည့်လေသည်။
Therefore it came to pass, when the time had arrived after Hannah had conceived, that she bore a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.
21 ၂၁ ဧလကာနသည်မိမိ၏အိမ်ထောင်စုနှင့်အတူ နှစ်စဉ်ပူဇော်နေကျယဇ်ကိုလည်းကောင်း၊ မိမိ သစ္စာဝတ်ကိုဖြေရာအထူးယဇ်ကိုလည်းကောင်း ဘုရားသခင်အားပူဇော်ရန်ရှိလောမြို့သို့ သွားရောက်ဖို့အချိန်ကျရောက်လာပြန်၏။-
And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer to the LORD the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.
22 ၂၂ သို့ရာတွင်ယခုအကြိမ်၌ဟန္နသည်မလိုက် ဘဲနေ၏။ သူသည်မိမိခင်ပွန်းအား``ကလေး ကိုနို့ဖြတ်ပြီးလျှင်ပြီးချင်း သူ့အားထာဝရ ဘုရား၏အိမ်တော်တွင်အမြဲနေစေရန် ကျွန်မခေါ်ဆောင်သွားပါမည်'' ဟုပြော၏။
But Hannah went not up; for she said to her husband, I will not go up until the child is weaned, and then I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever.
23 ၂၃ ဧလကာနက``ကောင်းပြီ။ သင်ပြုလိုသည် အတိုင်းပြုပါလေ။ ကလေးနို့ဖြတ်သည်တိုင် အောင်အိမ်တွင်နေလော့။ သင်ပြုသောသစ္စာကတိ ကိုအကောင်အထည်ဖော်နိုင်ရန် ထာဝရဘုရား ကူမတော်မူပါစေသော'' ဟုဆို၏။ သို့ဖြစ်၍ ဟန္နသည်သူငယ်ကိုနို့တိုက်လျက်၊ နို့မဖြတ် မီတိုင်အောင်အိမ်မှာနေလေ၏။
And Elkanah her husband said to her, Do what seemeth to thee good; tarry until thou hast weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and nursed her son until she weaned him.
24 ၂၄ သူသည်သားငယ်ကိုနို့ဖြတ်ပြီးသောအခါ သုံးနှစ်သားနွားထီး ကလေးတစ်ကောင်၊ မုန့်ညက်တစ်တင်း၊ စပျစ်ရည် တစ်ဘူးကိုယူဆောင်လျက်သားငယ်နှင့်အတူ ရှိလောမြို့သို့သွား၏။ သားငယ်ရှမွေလသည် လွန်စွာငယ်ရွယ်နုနယ်သေးသတည်း။-
And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bulls, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him to the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child was young.
And they slew a bull, and brought the child to Eli.
26 ၂၆ ဟန္နကဧလိအား``အရှင်၊ ကျွန်မသည်အထက် ကအရှင်၏အနီး၌ရပ်လျက် ထာဝရဘုရား ထံသို့ဆုတောင်းပတ္ထနာပြုသောမိန်းမဖြစ် ပါ၏။-
And she said, O my lord, as thy soul liveth, my lord, I am the woman that stood by thee here, praying to the LORD.
27 ၂၇ ကျွန်မသည်ထာဝရဘုရားထံတော်တွင် ဤ သားဆုကိုပန်ပါ၏။ ဆုပန်သည့်အတိုင်း ကိုယ်တော်သည်ပေးသနားတော်မူပါပြီ။-
For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:
28 ၂၈ သို့ဖြစ်၍ကျွန်မသည်သူ့ကိုထာဝရဘုရား အား ဆက်ကပ်အပ်နှင်းပါ၏။ သူအသက်ရှင် သမျှကာလပတ်လုံးထာဝရဘုရား အားအပ်နှင်းပါ၏'' ဟုလျှောက်ထား၏။ ထိုနောက်သူတို့သည်ထာဝရဘုရားအား ဝတ်ပြုကိုးကွယ်ကြ၏။
Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.
