၁ ပေတရု 2
1 ၁ သို့ဖြစ်၍သင်တို့သည်မကောင်းမှုအမျိုးမျိုး နှင့်လှည့်ဖြားမှု၊ ဟန်ဆောင်မှု၊ မနာလိုမှုနှင့် ဆဲရေးတိုင်းထွာမှုတို့ကိုပယ်ရှားကြလော့။-
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 ၂ မွေးစကလေးသူငယ်ကဲ့သို့ဝိညာဉ်နို့ရည် စစ်ကိုအမြဲလိုလားတောင့်တကြလော့။ သို့ မှသာသင်တို့သည်ကြီးထွား၍ကယ်တင် ခြင်းခံရလိမ့်မည်။-
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 ၃ ကျမ်းစာတော်က``ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သနားကြင်နာတော်မူတတ်ကြောင်းကို သင်တို့ကိုယ်တိုင်သိရှိကြ၏'' ဟုဆိုသည် နှင့်အညီဖြစ်၏။
If so be ye have tasted that the Lord [is] gracious.
4 ၄ သို့ဖြစ်၍ထာဝရဘုရားသခင်၏ထံတော် သို့လာကြလော့။ ထိုသခင်သည်သက်ရှိကျောက် ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။ ထိုကျောက်သည်အဖိုးမတန် ဟုဆို၍ လူတို့ပစ်ပယ်ခံရသော်လည်းဘုရား သခင်၏ရွေးချယ်ခံအဖိုးတန်ကျောက်ဖြစ် တော်မူ၏။-
To whom coming, [as unto] a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, [and] precious,
5 ၅ သင်တို့သည်သက်ရှိကျောက်များအဖြစ် ကိုယ်တော်ထံသို့လာ၍ ဗိမာန်တော်တည် ဆောက်ရေးတွင်ပါဝင်အသုံးခံကြလော့။ ထိုဝိညာဉ်ဗိမာန်တော်တွင်သင်တို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်နှစ်သက်တော်မူသောဝိညာဉ် ယဇ်ကိုသခင်ယေရှုခရစ်အားဖြင့် ပူဇော် သောသန့်ရှင်းမြင့်မြတ်သည့်ယဇ်ပုရော ဟိတ်အနွယ်ဝင်များဖြစ်ကြလိမ့်မည်။-
Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6 ၆ အဘယ်ကြောင့်ဆိုသော်ကျမ်းစာတော်တွင် ``ငါသည်အဖိုးတန်ကျောက်တစ်လုံးကို ရွေးချယ်၍၊ ဇိအုန်တောင်ပေါ်မှာထောင့်ချုပ်ကျောက်အဖြစ် ချထား၏။ မည်သူမဆိုထိုအရှင်ကိုယုံကြည်လျှင် စိတ်ပျက်ရလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်'' ဟုဖော်ပြပါရှိသောကြောင့်ဖြစ်၏။
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
7 ၇ ယုံကြည်သူတို့အဖို့ထိုကျောက်သည်တန်ဖိုး ရှိ၏။ မယုံကြည်သူတို့အဖို့မှာ၊ ``တိုက်တည်ဆောက်သူတို့ပယ်ထားသော ကျောက်သည် အရေးကြီးသောထောင့်ကျောက်ဖြစ်လာရ၏'' ဟုဖော်ပြ၏။
Unto you therefore which believe [he is] precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,
8 ၈ အခြားကျမ်းတစ်ပုဒ်တွင်၊ ``ထိုကျောက်သည်လူတို့အားခလုတ်ထိစေ၍ ပြိုလဲစေသောကျောက်ဖြစ်၏'' ဟုဖော်ပြပါရှိ၏။ သူတို့သည်နှုတ်ကပတ်တော် ကို မယုံကြည်ကြသဖြင့်ခလုတ်ထိရကြ၏။ ဤကားထိုသူတို့အတွက်ဘုရားသခင်၏ အလိုတော်ပင်ဖြစ်သတည်း။
And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
9 ၉ သို့ရာတွင်သင်တို့သည်အရွေးခံလူမျိုးဖြစ် ၏။ တော်ဝင်ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်များ၊ သန့်ရှင်းမြင့် မြတ်သည့်လူမျိုး၊ ဘုရားသခင်ပိုင်တော်မူ သောလူမျိုးဖြစ်ကြ၏။ ယင်းသို့ရွေးချယ်တော် မူခြင်းခံရသည်မှာ ဘုရားသခင်ပြုတော် မူသောအံ့ဖွယ်ကောင်းသည့်အမှုအရာများ ကိုဖော်ပြကြေညာနိုင်စေခြင်း၊ ဘုရားသခင် သည်သင်တို့အားအမှောင်ထဲမှအံ့ဖွယ်ရာ အလင်းထဲသို့ခေါ်ယူတော်မူပေသည်။-
But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
10 ၁၀ အခါတစ်ပါးကဘုရားသခင်၏လူစုတော် မဟုတ်သူသင်တို့သည်ယခုအခါကိုယ်တော် ၏လူစုတော်ဖြစ်ကြပြီ။ အခါတစ်ပါးက သင်တို့သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏ကရုဏာတော် ကိုမသိရကြ။ ယခုမှာမူကိုယ်တော်၏ ကရုဏာတော်ကိုခံစားရကြလေပြီ။
Which in time past [were] not a people, but [are] now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 ၁၁ ချစ်ဆွေတို့၊ သင်တို့သည်ဤလောကတွင်ဧည့် သည်အာဂန္တုအဖြစ်နှင့် မိမိတို့အားအမြဲ စစ်ပြိုင်တိုက်ခိုက်လျက်နေသောကာယတပ် မက်မှုများကိုအရှုံးမပေးရန် ငါတိုက်တွန်း နှိုးဆော်၏။-
Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;
12 ၁၂ မယုံကြည်သူတို့သည်သင်တို့အားမကောင်း မှုပြုကြသူများဟု ပြစ်တင်စွပ်စွဲလျက်နေ ကြစဉ် သင်တို့၏အကျင့်ကောင်းများကိုမြင် သဖြင့်ဘုရားသခင်ကြွလာတော်မူရာနေ့ ၌ ကိုယ်တော်၏ဘုန်းအသရေတော်ကိုချီးကူး ကြစေရန် သင်တို့သည်ထိုသူတို့ရှေ့တွင်တင့် တယ်လျောက်ပတ်စွာပြုမူကျင့်ကြံလျက် နေကြလော့။
Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by [your] good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.
13 ၁၃ သခင်ဘုရား၏မျက်နှာတော်ကိုထောက်၍ လူအာဏာပိုင်ရှိသမျှတို့၏အုပ်စိုးခြင်း ကိုဝန်ခံကြလော့။ ဘုရင်ဧကရာဇ်မင်းအား အချုပ်အခြာအာဏာပိုင်အဖြစ်ဖြင့်လည်း ကောင်း၊-
Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;
14 ၁၄ ဘုရင်ခံများအားလူဆိုးတို့ကိုအပြစ်ပေး ရန်နှင့်၊ လူကောင်းတို့ကိုချီးမြှင့်ရန်ဘုရင် ဧကရာဇ်ခန့်ထားသောသူများအဖြစ်ဖြင့် လည်းကောင်းလက်ခံကြလော့။-
Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.
15 ၁၅ သင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့၏အကျင့်ကောင်းအားဖြင့် အသိဉာဏ်ကင်းမဲ့သည့်လူမိုက်တို့၏နှုတ်ကို ပိတ်ရန်ဘုရားသခင်အလိုတော်ရှိတော်မူ၏။-
For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:
16 ၁၆ သင်တို့သည်လွတ်လပ်သူများအနေဖြင့်ပြုမူ နေထိုင်ကြလော့။ သို့ရာတွင်ဆိုးညစ်မှု၊ တစ်စုံ တစ်ရာကိုဖုံးကွယ်ရန်အတွက်မိမိတို့၏ လွတ်လပ်မှုကိုအသုံးမပြုကြနှင့်။ သို့ရာ တွင်သင်တို့သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏ကျွန်များ အဖြစ်ဖြင့်ပြုမူနေထိုင်ကြလော့။-
As free, and not using [your] liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.
17 ၁၇ ခပ်သိမ်းသောသူတို့ကိုလေးစားကြလော့။ ယုံကြည် သူတို့ကိုချစ်ကြလော့။ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုကြောက်ရွံ့ ကြလော့။ ဘုရင်ဧကရာဇ်မင်းအားရိုသေကြလော့။
Honour all [men]. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.
18 ၁၈ အစေခံတို့၊ သင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့သခင်များ၏ အုပ်စိုးခြင်းကိုဝန်ခံရကြမည်။ စိတ်ကောင်းရှိ၍ ညှာတာထောက်ထားတတ်သောသခင်များကို သာမဟုတ်၊ ကြမ်းယုတ်သောသခင်တို့ကို လည်းအလွန်ကြောက်ရွံ့ရိုသေကြလော့။-
Servants, [be] subject to [your] masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.
19 ၁၉ သင်တို့သည်ဘုရားသခင်၏အလိုတော်ကို သိသဖြင့် မိမိတို့မခံထိုက်သောဆင်းရဲဒုက္ခ များကိုမညည်းမညူဘဲခံကြပါမူ ဘုရား သခင်သည်သင်တို့အားကောင်းချီးပေးတော် မူလိမ့်မည်။-
For this [is] thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.
20 ၂၀ သင်တို့သည်မိမိတို့ပြုမိသည့်အမှားများ အတွက်ခံထိုက်သောအပြစ်များကိုမညည်း မညူဘဲခံကြပါမူ သင်တို့အားအဘယ်သို့ လျှင်ချီးမွမ်းစရာရှိမည်နည်း။ သို့ရာတွင် အမှန်ကိုပြုလျက်ဒုက္ခဆင်းရဲကိုခံရသော အခါ မညည်းမညူဘဲခံကြလျှင်မူကား ဘုရားသခင်သည်သင်တို့အားကောင်းချီး ပေးတော်မူလိမ့်မည်။-
For what glory [is it], if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer [for it], ye take it patiently, this [is] acceptable with God.
21 ၂၁ ဤနည်းအတိုင်းပြုမူစေရန်သင်တို့အား ကိုယ်တော်ရွေးကောက်တော်မူခြင်းဖြစ်ပေ သည်။ ခရစ်တော်ကိုယ်တိုင်ပင်လျှင်သင်တို့ အတွက်ဒုက္ခဝေဒနာခံတော်မူ၍ ခြေတော် ရာကိုသင်တို့လိုက်လျှောက်နိုင်စေရန်စံနမူ နာထားခဲ့ပြီ။-
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
23 ၂၃ မိမိအားပုတ်ခတ်ပြောဆိုသောအခါတုံ့ပြန် ပုတ်ခတ်ပြောဆိုမှုပြုတော်မမူ။ ဝေဒနာခံ တော်မူရသောအခါခြိမ်းခြောက်တော်မမူဘဲ ဖြောင့်မှန်စွာတရားစီရင်တော်မူသောဘုရား သခင်၏လက်တော်သို့မိမိ၏အမှုကိုအပ် တော်မူ၏။-
Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed [himself] to him that judgeth righteously:
24 ၂၄ ငါတို့သည်အပြစ်ဒုစရိုက်ကိုအမြစ်ဖြတ် ၍ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းအတွက်အသက်ရှင်နိုင် ကြစေရန် ကိုယ်တော်တိုင်ပင်လျှင်ငါတို့၏ အပြစ်များကိုကိုယ်ခန္ဓာတော်ပေါ်တွင်ယူ ဆောင်ကာလက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်၌ဒုက္ခဝေဒနာ ခံတော်မူ၏။ ငါတို့သည်ကိုယ်တော်၏ဒဏ်ရာ ဒဏ်ချက်များအားဖြင့်အနာပျောက်လျက် ရှိကြ၏။-
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
25 ၂၅ သင်တို့သည်သိုးများကဲ့သို့လမ်းလွဲခဲ့ကြ သော်လည်း ယခုအခါ၌သင်တို့၏ဝိညာဉ် တို့ကိုထိန်းသိမ်းစောင့်ရှောက်တော်မူသော အရှင့်သိုးထိန်းကြီးထံသို့ပြန်လည်ရောက် ရှိကြလေပြီ။
For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
