1 Mwaakumbushiyanje bhandunji bhaitetelesheyanje kubhakulungwanji na bhaatagwalanga na kukunda ibhabhalanjilwanga, kutenda yowe ili ya mmbone.
Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,
2 Bhanammeleketelanje ya nyata mundu jojowe, na bhanabhanganje bha mipwai, bhabhanganje bhanguja, bhalilanguyanga kwiitimalika kwa kaje, kubhandu bhowe.
to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing courtesy to all people.
3 Pabha na uwe bhukala putwaaliji mabhelu, bhandunji bha kwaatendebhukanga a Nnungu na puganyika, akuno tulitolwa na ilokoli, na itendi yaigwinji ya kwiikonja yangali mana, tulitama muilebho na nnupimililo na nkubheleketana na nkubhengana.
For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
4 Ikabheje a Nnungu Bhaatapula bhetu bhakalanguleje uguja na nonyelwa kwabho ku bhandu, gubhatutapwile,

5 Nngabha kwa itendi ya aki itwatendile, ikabhe kwa ligongo lya shiya shabho, gubhatubheleshe gwa bhili nikutubhika nndamo ja ambi kwa kutukonjeleya kwa Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo.

8 Lyeneli ni lilobhe lya kulupalika. Shingupinga gene malobhe gano, ubhelekete kwa komelesheya, nkupinga bhene bhaakulupalilenje a Nnungu bhala, bhalonjeyanje nkutenda ya mmbone, genego ni ga mmbone na ganapwaa kwa kila mundu.
This saying is faithful, and concerning these things I desire that you affirm confidently, so that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable for people;
9 Ikabheje mwiepuye na mitau ja shingumba, na mipwai na kutaukangana ga ashigani bha nnubheleko lwetu na ga shalia ja a Musha. Pabha yene induyo ikapwaa, numbe yangali mana.
but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
10 Mundu alekanya bhandu munnneyaga pabhili, nibhujila kabhili, munkane.
Reject a divisive person after a first and second warning;
11 Pabha mmumanyi kuti mundu jwa nneyo apuganishe, na itendi yakwe ya yambi inng'ukumwile nnyene.

Let our people also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they may not be unfruitful.
15 Bhandunji bhowe bhalinginji apamo na nne bhanakunnamushilanga. Mwaalamushilanje bhakutupinganga nngulupaibho. Nema jibhe na mmanganyanji mmowe.
