Matei 2
1 A Yeshu kubhabhelekwele ku Bheteleemu, nkowa gwa ku Yudea, mobha ga a Elode pubhaliji a mpalume, a Yeshu bhakabhelekweje, bhakwiimanyanga ndondwa gubhaikengenenje ku Yelushalemu kopoka kulikoposhela lyubha,
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, look, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem, saying,
2 gubhabhushiyenje, “Kwali kwei mwana abhelekwe, mpalume jwa Bhayaudi? Twashinkulubhona lutondwa lwakwe lulikoposhela, putwaliji kulikoposhela lyubha na uwe tushikwiya kuntindibhalila.”
"Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship him."
3 A Mpalume Elode bhakapilikaneje genego, gubhatengwishe na bhandu bhowe bha ku Yelushalemu.
And when King Herod heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 Bhai, gubhaashemilenje bhakulungwanji bhaabhishila bhowe na bhaajiganya bha Shalia, gubhaabhushiyenje, “Kilishitu shabhelekwe kwei?”
And gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he asked them where the Messiah would be born.
5 Gubhaajangwilenje, “Ku Bheteleemu nkowa gwa ku Yudea malinga shiishite jandikwa naka nkulondola jwa a Nnungu kuti,
And they said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea, for thus it is written through the prophet,
6 ‘Ugwe Bheteleemu uli munkowa gwa ku Yudea, Ugwe nngabha jwanshoko muilambo imanyika ya ku Yudea, Pabha kunngwako apinga koposhela kalongolele, shaabhalongolelanje bhandu bhangu Ishilaeli.’”
'And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah, are in no way least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you will come forth a ruler who will shepherd my people, Israel.'"
7 Penepo, a Elode gubhaashemilenje kuntemela bhakwimanyanga ndondwa bhala, gubhaabhushiyenje shakani pulwankoposhelenje lutondwa.
Then Herod secretly called the Magi, and learned from them exactly what time the star appeared.
8 Kungai gubhaatumilenje ku Bheteleemu bhalinkuti, “Nnjendangane nkabhushishiyanje ukoto ngani jika jwene mwanajo. Mummonangaga kunnugulilanje nkupinga na nne nyende ngantindibhalile.”
And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, "Go and search diligently for the young child, and when you have found him, bring me word, so that I also may come and worship him."
9 Bhakapilikananjeje malobhe ga a mpalume bhakwimanyanga ndondwa bhala gubhajabhwilenje, bhai lutondwa lubhalubhweninji bhalinginji kulikoposhela lyubha lula gulwaalongolelenje, gulupite jima panani paaliji mwana pala.
And they, having heard the king, went their way; and look, the star which they saw in the east went before them, until it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 Bhakalubhonanjeje lutondwa gubhainonyelenje kaje.
And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
11 Bhai, gubhajinjilenje nnyumba, gubhammweninji mwana jula na akwabhe a Malia, gubhatemingene ulungolungo kuntindibhalila. Kungai gubhagopwelenje ibhajigelenje, gubhampelenje upo, shaabhu na lubhani na manemane.
And they came into the house and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Then, opening their treasures, they offered to him gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 A Nnungu bhakwaaleyangaga nng'agamii, bhanaabhujilanje kabhili a Elode, gubhapitilenje mpanda guna kubhuja kunngwabhonji.
Being warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they went back to their own country another way.
13 Bhajeninji bhala bhakajabhulanjeje, malaika jwa Bhakulungwa gwabhakoposhele a Yoshepu nng'agamii, gwabhalugulile, “A Elode bhapinga kunnoleya mwanajo bhammulaje, bhai nnjumushe! Muntole mwanajo na akwabhe mmutushilanje ku Mishili, nkatamangane mpaka pushininnugulilanje kabhili.”
Now when they had departed, look, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him."
14 A Yoshepu bhakajumusheje gubhantolile mwana jula na akwabhe, gubhajabhwilenje nashilo nashilo kubhutushila ku Mishili.
And he arose and took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt,
15 Gubhatemi kweneko mpaka pubhaawile a Elode. Genega gashinkukoposhela nkupinga gamalile galugwilwe na Bhakulungwa kwa ntenga guka nkulondola jwabho, “Nashinkunshema mwanangu kopoka ku Mishili.”
and was there until the death of Herod; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called my son."
16 A Elode bhakamumanyeje kuti bhashitembwa na bhakwimanyanga ndondwa bhala, guyaashimile kaje. Gubhaamulishe bhabhulagwanje bhana bha shileu bhowe pa shilambo sha Bheteleemu na ilambo ya nnyenje jakwe bha yaka ibhili na pai jakwe. Bhashinkutenda nneyo kwa tolelela pubhalugulilwe na bhaashomanga ndondwa bhala malanga gubhalubhweninji lutondwa kulikoposhela lyubha.
Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked by the Magi, was exceedingly angry, and sent out, and killed all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all the surrounding countryside, from two years old and under, according to the exact time which he had learned from the Magi.
17 Nneyo gakumalilaga malobhe galugwilwe na ankulondola bha a Nnungu a Yelemia bhalinkuti,
Then that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled, saying,
18 “Lilobhe lishipilikanika ku Lama, ililo na nguto yaigwinji. A Laeli bhanakwagutilanga ashibhana bhabho, numbe bhangapinga tagwa ntima, pabha bhana bhowe bhawilenje.”
"A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation and weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children; and she would not be comforted, because they are no more."
19 Bhakaweje a Elode, malaika jwa Bhakulungwa gwabhakoposhele a Yoshepu nng'agamii ku Mishili kula,
But when Herod was dead, look, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph in Egypt, saying,
20 gwabhalugulile, “Nnjumushe! Muntole mwana na akwabhe, mmujangane ku shilambo sha Ishilaeli, pabha bhapingangaga kummulaga mwanajo bhala, bhawilenje.”
"Arise and take the young child and his mother, and go into the land of Israel, for those who sought the young child's life are dead."
21 Bhai, a Yoshepu bhakajumusheje, gubhantolile mwana jula na akwabhe, gubhabhujengene ku shilambo sha Ishilaeli.
And he arose and took the young child and his mother, and went to the land of Israel.
22 Ikabheje a Yoshepu bhakapilikaneje kuti a Lekelao, bhana bhabho a Elode, bhashibha a mpalume bha ku Yudea gubhajogwepe kubhuja. Bhalabho bhakalugulilweje nng'agamii, gubhapite nkowa gwa ku Galilaya,
But when he heard that Archelaus was reigning over Judea in the place of his father, Herod, he was afraid to go there. Being warned in a dream, he withdrew into the region of Galilee,
23 nikwenda tama ku shijiji sha ku Nashaleti. Nkupinga gamalile malobhe galugwilwe na ashinkulondola bha a Nnungu, “Shibhashemwe Bhanashaleti.”
and came and lived in a city called Nazareth; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophets, that he will be called a Nazorean.
