Matei 1
1 Sheshino ni shitabhu sha nndondonga gwa mena gwa lubheleko lwa a Yeshu Kilishitu bha ulongo gwa a Daudi, bha ulongo gwa a Bhulaimu, puyaaliji nnei.
The Lineage Roll of Jesus Christ, —Son of David, Son of Abraham.
2 A Bhulaimu gubhankwete Ishaka, a Ishaka gubhankwete Yakobho, a Yakobho gubhankwete Yuda na ashaakulugwe na ashaapwakwe,
Abraham begat Isaac, and Isaac begat Jacob, and Jacob, begat Judah and his brethren;
3 a Yuda gubhankwete Peleshi naka Shela anyinabhabhonji pubhashemwaga a Tamali, a Peleshi gubhankwete Eshiloni, a Eshiloni gubhankwete Lami.
And Judah begat Perez and Zarah of Tamah, and Perez begat Hezron, and Hezron begat Ram;
4 A Lami gubhankwete Aminadabhu. A Aminadabhu gubhankwete Nashoni, a Nashoni gubhankwete Shalomoni.
And Ram begat Amminadab, and Amminadab begat Nashon, and Nashon begat Salmon;
5 A Shalomoni gubhankwete Bhoashi, akwabhe Bhoashi pubhashemwaga a Laabhu, a Bhoashi gubhankwete Obhedi kwa akongobhabho a Luti, a Obhedi gubhankwete Yeshe,
And Salmon begat Boaz of Rahab, and Boaz begat Obed of Ruth, and Obed begat Jesse;
6 Nabhalabho a Yeshe gubhankwete Mpalume Daudi. A Daudi gubhankwete Shelemani ku bhakongwe bhaliji akongobhabho a Ulia bhukala.
And Jesse begat David the King. And David begat Solomon of her [that had been the wife] of Uriah;
7 A Shelemani gubhankwete Leobhoamu, a Leobhoamu gubhankwete Abhiya, a Abhiya gubhankwete Ashapu,
And Solomon begat Rehoboam, and Rehoboam begat Abijah, and Abijah begat Asa;
8 A Ashapu gubhankwete Yoshepati, a Yoshepati gubhankwete Yolamu, a Yolamu gubhankwete Ushiya,
And Asa begat Jehoshaphat, and Jehoshaphat begat Joram, and Joram begat Uzziah;
9 a Ushiya gubhankwete Yoshamu, a Yoshamu gubhankwete Ashi, a Ashi gubhankwete Eshekia,
And Uzziah begat Jotham, and Jotham begat Ahaz, and Ahaz begat Hezekiah:
10 a Eshekia gubhankwete Manashe, a Manashe gubhankwete Amoni, a Amoni gubhankwete Yoshiya,
And Hezekiah begat Manasseh, and Manasseh begat Amon, and Amon begat Josiah;
11 a Yoshiya gubhankwete Yekoniya na ashaapwakwe, mobha Bhayaudi gubhapelekwenje ku Bhabhuloni.
And Josiah begat Jechoniah, and his brethren, —upon the removal to Babylon.
12 Bhayaudi bhakapelekwanjeje ku Bhabhuloni, a Yekoniya gubhankwete Sheatieli, a Sheatieli gubhankwete Shelubhabheli,
And, after the removal to Babylon, Jechoniah begat Shealtiel, and Shealtiel begat Zerubbabel;
13 a Shelubhabheli gubhankwete Abhiudi, a Abhiudi gubhankwete Eliakimu, a Eliakimu gubhankwete Asholi,
And Zerubbabel begat Abiud, and Abiud begat Eliakim, and Eliakim begat Azor;
14 A Asholi gubhankwete Shadoki, a Shadoki gubhankwete Akimu, a Akimu gubhankwete Eliudi,
And Azor begat Sadoc, and Sadoc begat Achim, and Achim begat Eliud;
15 a Eliudi gubhankwete Eliashali, a Eliashali gubhankwete Matani, a Matani gubhankwete Yakobho,
And Eliud begat Eleazar, and Eleazar begat Matthan, and Matthan begat Jacob; —
16 a Yakobho gubhaakwete a Yoshepu bhaaliji ambujebhabho a Malia, anyinabhabho a Yeshu bhaashemwa a Kilishitu.
And Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, —who is called Christ.
17 Bhai puyaliji ibheleko likumi limo na nsheshe kutandubhila a Bhulaimu mpaka a Daudi na ibheleko likumi limo na nsheshe kutandubhila a Daudi mpaka pubhapelekwenje ku utumwa ku Bhabhuloni, na ibheleko likumi limo na nsheshe kutandubhila pubhapelekwenje ku utumwa ku Bhabhuloni mpaka pubhabhelekwe a Kilishitu.
So then, all the generations from Abraham unto David, are, fourteen, generations, and, from David unto the removal to Babylon, fourteen, generations; and, from the removal to Babylon unto the Christ, fourteen, generations.
18 Kubhelekwa kwa a Yeshu Kilishitu pukwaliji nnei, a Malia anyinabhabho a Yeshu, bhali muntemela na a Yoshepu, bhakanabhe gwabhala gubhaabhweni a Malia bhali na shitumbo kwa komboywa naka Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo.
Now the birth, of [Jesus] Christ, was, thus: His mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, —before they came together, she was found with child by [the] Holy Spirit.
19 Pabha a Yoshepu bhashinkubha bhanguja bhakapinjileje kutokomaya ntemela gwabho, kwa nneyo gubhapinjile kwaaleka kwa nng'iyo.
Moreover, Joseph her husband, being, righteous, and yet unwilling to expose her, —intended, privately, to divorce her.
20 Bhali nkuganishiya genego, nnugono malaika jwa Bhakulungwa gwabhakoposhele nng'agamii alinkuti, “A Yoshepu bha ulongo gwa a Daudi, nnajogope kwaatola a Malia bhabhe akongobhenu, pabha Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo ni abhatendile bhabhe na shitumbo.
But, when, these things, he had pondered, lo! a messenger of the Lord, by dream, appeared to him, saying, —Joseph, son of David! do not fear to take unto thee Mary thy wife, for, that which, in her, hath been begotten, is of [the], Holy, Spirit.
21 Shibhakole mwana jwannume, shimunsheme lina lyakwe Yeshu, pabha jwenejo apinga tapula bhandu bhakwe na yambi yabhonji.”
Moreover she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus, —for, he, will save his people from their sins.
22 Genego gashinkukoposhela nkupinga limalile lilobhe libhalugwile Bhakulungwa kuka nkulondola jwabho,
But, all this, hath come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord, through the prophet, saying:
23 “Nng'ishana shakole shitumbo, shankole mwana jwannume, shibhanshemanje lina lyakwe Manueli,” malombolelo gakwe, “A Nnungu pamo na uwe”.
Lo! a Virgin, shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, —and they shall call his name Emmanuel; which is, being translated, God with us.
24 Kwa nneyo, a Yoshepu bhakajumusheje gubhatendile malinga shibhalugulilwe naka malaika jula, gubhaatolile a Malia kubha akongobhabho.
And Joseph, awaking, from his sleep, did as the messenger of the Lord directed him, —and took unto him his wife;
25 Bhakaamanyiji akongobhabho a Malia mpaka bhakankoleje mwana jwannume. Na a Yoshepu gubhanshemile lina lyakwe, Yeshu.
and knew her not, until she had brought forth a son, —and he called his name Jesus.
