Luka 1
1 Bhandu bhabhagwinjinji bhashilajililanga kujandika ukoto ngani ja indu yatendekaga munkumbi gwetu.
Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Bhashinkujandikanga malinga shitwatagulilwe na bhandunji bhagabhweninji pugatendekaga, kuumila kundandubho na bhalunguyangaga lilobhe lya a Nnungu.
Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word; (logos)
3 Kwa nneyo, mmakulungwa a Teopili, numbe nne ngakagulileje ukoto yowe kuumila kundandubho, njibhona inapwaa ninnjandishile shiyashite tendeka,
It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto you in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 nkupinga na mmwe muumanye ukweli gwa yowe innjigenywe ila.
That you might know the certainty of those things, (logos) wherein you have been instructed.
5 Mobha ga upalume gwa a Elode ku Yudea, bhashinkupagwa bhaabhishila bhamo lina lyabho a Shakalia, bha likundi lya a Abhiya. Akongobhabho pubhashemwaga a Lishabheti bha shipinga sha a Aluni, bhakulungwa bhaabhishila.
THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.
6 Bhowe bhanaabhili bhashinkubhanganga bhandunji bha aki kwa a Nnungu, bhalikagulilanga amuli na malajilo ga Bhakulungwa gwangali kugambwa.
And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
7 Ikabheje bhakakwetenjeje bhana, pabha a Lishabheti pubhaaliji nannii na bhanaabhili pubhalinginji bhakongopanji kaje.
And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.
8 Lyubha limo lya nnimbu gwa liengo lya bhishila gwa a Shakalia nniekalu,
And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,
9 malinga shigwaliji nkubho gwabhonji, a Shakalia bhashinkuagulwa kwa shikoma, bhajinjile nniekalu bhakatutumye lubhani.
According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.
10 Akuno lugwinjili lowe lwa bhandu pubhalinginji palanga bhalikwaajuganga a Nnungu, malanga ga tutumya lubhani.
And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.
11 Malaika jwa Bhakulungwa akwaakoposhelaga, gwabhajimile nkono nnilo gwa shitala sha tutumishiya lubhani.
And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
12 A Shakalia bhakammoneje malaika jwa a Nnungu jula gubhatengwishe na jogopa.
And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.
13 Malaika jwa a Nnungu jula gwabhalugulile, “A Shakalia, nnajogope pabha kujuga kwenu kupilikenwe, na akongobhenu a Lishabheti, shibhankolele mwana jwannume, na mmwe shimunsheme lina lyakwe a Yowana.”
But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elisabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.
14 “Mpinga kwiinonyela kwa kaje na bhandu bhabhagwinji bhapinga angalilanga kubhelekwa kwakwe.
And you shall have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.
15 Shabhe jwankulungwa pa meyo ga Bhakulungwa, akapinjikwa kung'wa togwa wala ukana, apinga gumbaywa Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo, kuumila nnutumbo lwa akwabhe.
For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, (pneuma) even from his mother's womb.
16 Shaabhatendebhuyanje bha Ishilaeli bhabhagwinji bhaabhujilanje Bhakulungwa a Nnungu bhabhonji.
And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.
17 Shaalongolele pa meyo ga Bhakulungwa alikomboywa na mbumu na mashili malinga a Eliya. Apinga lundanya mitima ja ashainamundu na bhana bhabhonji, apinga kwaatendanga bhakakwaakundanga a Nnungu kubha na ng'aniyo ya aki, nkupinga abhaalashiye Bhakulungwa bhandunji shibhabhanganje tayali kwaaposhela.”
And he shall go before him in the spirit (pneuma) and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.
18 A Shakalia gubhammushiye malaika jula, “Yeneyo nne pushiniimanye bhuli? Nne nankongopa na akangu na bhalabho bhakongopele.”
And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.
19 Malaika jwa a Nnungu gwabhalugulile, “Nne Gabhulieli, ntumishi ngujima pameyo ga a Nnungu, njitumwa kumelekete na mmwe, nintashiye jene ngani ja mmboneji.
And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto you, and to show you these glad tidings.
20 Pabha mmangakulupalila gapinga koposhela kwa malanga gakwega, shimme bhubhu, nkakombola kubheleketa mpaka lyubha pushigakoposhele gunimmalanjilega.”
And, behold, you shall be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because you believe not my words, (logos) which shall be fulfilled in their season.
21 Penepo bhandu bhaalindililangaga a Shakalia gubhakanganigwenje kwa nndi bhashikabhiya Nniekalu mula.
And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.
22 Bhakakoposheje palanga bhakakombweleje kubheleketa nabhonji. Gubhamumanyinji kuti ipali ibhaiweni Nniekalu mula. Ikabheje gubhapundile bheleketa nabhonji kwa ilangulo ya makono, pabha bhashinkubha bhubhu.
And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.
23 Nnimbu gwabho gwa liengo lya bhishila ukamaleje, a Shakaliya gubhabhujile kumui.
And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.
24 Pangakabhika a Lishabheti gubhajukwite shitumbo. Gubhatemi pamui miyei nng'ano.
And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,
25 Bhalinkuti, “Nnei ni shibhandendele Bhakulungwa bhakamoneje, bhashinjosheya oni jangu, jinakolaga pa meyo ga bhandunji.”
Thus has the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.
26 Mwei gwa shita gwa shitumbo sha a Lishabheti, malaika jwa a Nnungu Gabhulieli ashinkutumwa na a Nnungu ajende ku Nashaleti ja ku Galilaya,
And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
27 kwa a mwali bhaishana bhashemwaga a Malia, ntemela gwa a Yoshepu bha shipinga sha a Daudi.
To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 Malaika jula gwabhajendele, nikwaabhalanjila, “Shalamu shenu mmwe a Malia! Nshipegwa nema yaigwinji! Bhakulungwa pubhali na mmwe.”
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, you that are highly favoured, the Lord is with you: blessed are you among women.
29 A Malia bhakapilikaneje gene malobhego gubhatengwishe kaje, nikwiibhuya sha muntima, shene shalamushi malombolelo gakwe nndi?
And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, (logos) and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
30 Malaika jula gwabhalugulile, “Nnajogope a Malia, pabha Bhakulungwa bhashikumpa nema.
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for you have found favour with God.
31 Pilikana! Shinnjukute shitumbo, na shinkole mwana jwannume na munsheme lina lyakwe Yeshu.
And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS.
32 Jwenejo apingabha jwankulungwa na shashemwe Mwana jwa bhali Kunani Kaje. Bhakulungwa a Nnungu shibhampe shitengu sha upalume sha anaigwe a Daudi.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
33 Kwa nneyo shabhe Nkulungwa jwa shipinga sha a Yakobho pitipiti na upalume gwakwe ukakola mpelo.” (aiōn g165)
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (aiōn g165)
34 A Malia gubhammushiye malaika, “Pushiitendeshe yeneyo bhuli, na nne niibhelele mwali nng'ishana nganabhe kummanya jwannume?”
Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
35 Malaika jula gwajangwile, “Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo shannjiile na mashili ga Bhakulungwa a Nnungu shiganng'unishile mbuti shiwili, kwa nneyo, mwana shabhelekwejo, shashemwe jwa Ukonjelo, Mwana jwa a Nnungu.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit (pneuma) shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of you shall be called the Son of God.
36 Na mmumanye kuti nkali alongo ajenu a Lishabheti na ukongopa gwabho bhajukwite shitumbo sha mwana jwannume, aguno mwei gwabho gwa nng'ano na gumo kwa bhene bhamanyishe na bhandu kuti anannii.
And, behold, your cousin Elisabeth, she has also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
37 Pabha shakwa shikaakomboleka kwa a Nnungu.”
For with God nothing (rhema) shall be impossible.
38 A Malia gubhashite, “Nne nantumwa jwa Bhakulungwa, ibhe malinga shiumalanjile.” Bhai malaika jula gwajabhwile.
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to your word. (rhema) And the angel departed from her.
39 Gakapiteje malanga gashoko, a Malia gubhapite shangu ku shilambo shimo sha kuitumbi ya ku Yudea.
And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;
40 Kweneko gubhajinjile nnyumba ja a Shakalia, nikwaalamushila a Lishabheti.
And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.
41 A Lishabheti bhakapilikaneje lamushilwa na a Malia, shitumbo sha a Lishabheti shikutukulaga nkwiinonyela. Na bhalabho a Lishabheti Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo akwaagumbalaga,
And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit: (pneuma)
42 nigubhabhelekete kwa lilobhe lya utiya, “Nshipegwa mboka kupunda bhanabhakongwe bhowe, na mwana junkupinga kunkolajo ashipegwa mboka.
And she spoke out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
43 Kwa bhuli nne njikuywa nnei, nkali anyinamundu bha Bhakulungwa bhangu bhang'owele?
And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
44 Nnole! Ngapilikanejepe kulamushila kwenu, shitumbo shangu shikutukulaga nkwiinonyela.
For, lo, as soon as the voice of your salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.
45 Mbaya mmwe nkulupalile kuti yene immalanjilwe na Bhakulungwa ila shiitendeshe.”
And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.
46 Na bhalabho a Malia gubhashite, “Ntima gwangu unakwaakuya Bhakulungwa,
And Mary said, My soul does magnify the Lord,
47 Na mbumu yangu inakwiinonyela ligongo lya a Nnungu Bhaatapula bhangu.
And my spirit (pneuma) has rejoiced in God my Saviour.
48 Pabha bhashikuubhona ungakola mashili uka ntumishi jwabho. Kwa nneyo kuumila nnaino ibheleko yowe shibhanjemanje akwete mboka,
For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.
49 Pabha a Nnungu Bhakwete Mashili, bhashindendela gamakulungwa. Na lina lyabho ni bha ukonjelo.
For he that is mighty has done to me great things; and holy is his name.
50 Bhenebho bhanakwaabhonelanga shiya bhene bhakwaajogopanga bhala, kuumila lubheleko mpaka lubheleko.
And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.
51 Pabha kwa mashili ga nkono gwabho bhashitenda gamakulungwa. Bhashikwapwilinganyanga bhakwetenje mbwinya mmitima jabhonji,
He has showed strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
52 Bhashikwaatuluyanga bhapalume mwitengu yabhonji ya upalume, Nikwaakweyanga bhaitimalikenje.
He has put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.
53 Bhakwetenje shibhanga bhashikwaatendanga bhajukutanje ya mmbone, Ikabhe matajili bhashikwaalekanga bhapwilingane gwangali shoshowe.
He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he has sent empty away.
54 Bhashikunnjangutila ntumishi jwabho Ishilaeli, Bhalikumbushila miadi ja kummonela shiya.
He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;
55 Kwa a Bhulaimu na lubheleko lwabho pitipiti, Malinga shibhaabhalanjilenje bhanangulungwa bhetu.” (aiōn g165)
As he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever. (aiōn g165)
56 A Malia nigubhatemi na a Lishabheti malinga myei jitatu, nigubhabhujile kunngwabho.
And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.
57 Mobha ga kwigopola a Lishabheti gakaishileje, gubhaigopwele mwana jwannume.
Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.
58 Ashaatami ajabho na ashaalongo ajabho bhakapilikananjeje, kuti Bhakulungwa bhaabhonele shiya sha kaje a Lishabheti, gubhaengelelenje pamo na bhenebho.
And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had showed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.
59 Lyubha lya nane gubhaikengenenje kukuntaga mwana unyago, nigubhapinjilenje kumpa lina lya ainagwe, Shakalia.
And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
60 Ikabheje akwabhe nigubhakanile, bhalinkuti, “Nngabha, ikabhe shashemwe a Yowana.”
And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.
61 Gubhaalugulilenje, “Pakuti jwakwa mundu muulongo gwenu ashemwa lyene linalyo!”
And they said unto her, There is none of your kindred that is called by this name.
62 Bhai gubhaabhushiyenje ainagwe kwa ilangulo ya makono bhamumanyanje lina lyashi libhapinga kumpa mwanagwabho.
And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.
63 Numbe a Shakalia gubhajujile shibhao sha jandika, gubhajandishe nnei, “Lina lyakwe a Yowana.” Gubhakanganigwenje bhowe.
And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.
64 Popo pepo a Shakalia, gubhakombwele kubheleketa kabhili, bhalinkwaakuya a Nnungu.
And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spoke, and praised God.
65 Ashaatami ajabho bhowe gubhajogopenje, na bhandu bhowe bhatendaga kungulushilanga jene nganijo mmbali yowe ya shilambo sha mwiitumbi ya ku Yudea.
And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings (rhema) were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.
66 Bhowe bhapilikenenje genego, gubhaganishiyenje mmitima jabhonji nikwiibhuya, “Igala jwene mwanaju apingabha mundu jwashi?” Pabha nkono gwa Bhakulungwa pugwaaliji naka jwenejo.
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
67 A Shakalia, ainagwe mwana, gubhagumbeywe naka Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo, gubhalondwele nnei,
And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, (pneuma) and prophesied, saying,
68 “Bhapegwe mboka Bhakulungwa a Nnungu bha Ishilaeli, Pabha bhashikwiya kukwagombolanga bhandu bhabho.
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he has visited and redeemed his people,
69 Bhashikutupa Nkutapula jwa makangala, Jwa uukulu gwa a Daudi bhatumishi bhabho.
And has raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;
As he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began: (aiōn g165)
71 Kuti shibhatutapule mmakono ga ashaamagongo ajetu Na bhowe bhakutushimanga.
That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;
72 Pubhashite kuti shibhaabhonelanje shiya bhanangulungwa bhetu, Na shibhakumbushile malagano gabho ga Ukonjelo.
To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;
73 Bhashinkulumbila kwa ambuje a Bhulaimu, Kuti shibhatutende uwe
The oath which he swore to our father Abraham,
74 Tugombolwe mmakono ga ashaamagongo ajetu, Kupinga twatindibhalile gwangali lipamba,
That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,
75 Kwa Ukonjelo na aki Mobha getu gowe.
In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.
76 Na ugwe mwanangu, shushemwe, nkulondola jwa Bhakulungwa a Nnungu. Shugwaalongolele Bhakulungwa kukwaalashiya mpanda gwabho,
And you, child, shall be called the prophet of the Highest: for you shall go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
77 Kwaalungushiyanga bhandu bhabho kuti, shibhatapulwanje Kwa leshelelwa yambi yabhonji.
To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,
78 A Nnungu bhetu shibhatutendele nneyo kwa ligongo lya potekwa ntima na shiya shabho, Na Ntapulo gwabho shiututulushile kukopoka kunnungu malinga nshenje,
Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high has visited us,
79 Kupinga kwaamulishilanga bhowe bhatemingenenje nnubhindu lwa shiwo, Bhatulongoye ndamo yetu tutame kwa ulele.”
To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
80 Mwana gwakulile na gwapundile kukola mashili muntima. Gwatemi kuanga mpaka lyubha lyailangwile ku bhandu bha Ishilaeli.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, (pneuma) and was in the deserts till the day of his showing unto Israel.
