Yowana 17

1 A Yeshu bhakabheleketeje genego, gubhalolile kunani kunnungu, gubhashite, “Atati, malanga gaishe! Munkuye Mwanagwenu, nkupinga na jwalakwe Mwana ankuye.

After saying this, Jesus raised his eyes heavenwards, and said: “Father, the hour has come; honor your Son, so that your Son may honor you;

2 Pabha mwashinkumpa Mwanagwenu mashili kubhandu bhowe nkupinga bhowe bhumwampele abhapanganje gumi gwa pitipiti. (aiōnios g166)

even as you gave him power over all humanity, so that he should give eternal life to everyone you have given him. (aiōnios g166)

3 Na gumi gwa pitipiti ni aguno, kummanya mmwe nni jikape a Nnungu bha kweli, na kwaamanya a Yeshu Kilishitu bhumwaatumile. (aiōnios g166)

And the eternal life is this – to know you the one true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent as your messenger. (aiōnios g166)

4 Nne njikunkuya mmwe pa shilambolyo pano, maliye liengo limwaambele ndende lila.

I have honored you on earth by completing the work which you have given me to do;

5 Atati, nnaino nnguye, kwa ukonjelo gunaakwete punaliji na mmwe shilambolyo shikanabhe panganywa gula.

and now do you honor me, Father, at your own side, with the honor which I had at your side before the world began.

6 “Njikulitenda lina lyenu limanyishe ku bhandu bha pa shilambolyo bhummbele bhala. Pubhalinginji bhenu, gummbele nne bhabhanganje bhangu, numbe bhakundilenje lilobhe lyenu.

I have revealed you to those whom you gave me from the world; they were your own, and you gave them to me; and they have laid your message to heart.

7 Nnaino bhamumanyinji kuti yowe immbele, kuikopweshe kunngwenu mmwe.

They recognize now that everything that you gave me was from you;

8 Nne naapelenje lilobhe limwaammbele lila, nabhalabhonji bhaliposhelenje, bhamumanyinji kuti kweli kungoposhele kunngwenu mmwe, na bhakulupalilenje kuti mmwe ninndumile.”

for I have given them the teaching which you gave me, and they received it, and clearly understood that I came from you, and they believed that you have sent me as your messenger.

9 “Nne ngunakwaajujilanga bhenebho, ngakushijujila shilambolyo, ikabhe ngunakwaajujilanga bhummbele bhala, pabha bhenu.

I intercede for them; I am not interceding for the world, but for those whom you have given me, for they are your own –

10 Yowe ingwete ni yenu mmwe, na yenu ni yangu na ukonjelo gwangu ubhoneshe ku bhene bhumbele bhala.

All that is mine is yours, and all that is yours is mine – and I am honored in them.

11 Na nnaino wala ngalonjeya pashilambolyo, ngunakwiya kunngwenu, ikabheje bhanganyabha launo pubhapalinji pashilambolyo. Atati bha ukonjelo! Kwa mashili ga lina lyenu limmbele, shonde mwaapanganje ulinda nkupinga bhabhanganje shindu shimo, malinga shituli uwe.

Now I am to be in this world no longer, but they are still to be in the world, and I am to come to you. Holy Father, keep them by that revelation of your name which you have given me, so that they may be one, as we are.

12 Punaliji pamo na bhanganyabho, nne nashinkwaapanganga ulinda kwa mashili ga lina lyenu limmbele. Nne naabhishilenje muulinda, wala jwakwa nkali jumo jwabhonji apinga kuobha, ikabhe amanyishe kuti mwana jwa obha jula, nkupinga Majandiko ga Ukonjelo gamalile.”

While I was with them, I kept them by that revelation, and I have guarded them; and not one of them has been lost, except that lost soul – in fulfillment of scripture.

13 “Bhai, nnaino ngunakwiya kunngwenu, gene malobhega njibheleketa nili pa shilambolyope pano, nkupinga bhainonyelanje mmitima jabhonji kwa ligongo lyangu.

But now I am to come to you; and I am speaking like this, while still in the world, so that they may have my own joy, in all its fullness, in their hearts.

14 Nne naapelenje lilobhe lyenu na shilambolyo gushaashimilenje, pabha bhanganyabho nngabha bha pa shilambolyo, malinga shini nne nngabha jwa pa shilambolyo.

I have given them your message; and the world hated them, because they do not belong to the world, even as I do not belong to the world.

15 Ngaajuga kuti mwaashoyanje pa shilambolyo, ikabhe ngunaajuga mwaembuyanje na jwangali jwa mmbone jula.

I do not ask you to take them out of the world, but to keep them from evil.

16 Bhanganyabho nngabha bha pa shilambolyo, malinga shini nne nngabha jwa pa shilambolyo.

They do not belong to the world, even as I do not belong to the world.

17 Mwaatakayanje kwa kweli jila, lilobhe lyenu ni kweli.

Consecrate them by the truth; your message is truth.

18 Malinga shinndumile nne ku shilambolyo na nne nnepeyo njikwaatumanga ku shilambolyo,

Just as you have sent me as your messenger to the world, so I send them as my messengers to the world.

19 na kwa ligongo lya bhanganyabho ngunakwiishoya namwene nkupinga na bhalabhonji bhaishoyanje na kweli jila.

And it is for their sakes that I am consecrating myself, so that they also may be truly consecrated.

20 “Bhungwaajujilanga nngabha bhanganya pebho, ikabhe bhowe shibhakulupalilanje kwa ligongo lya lilobhe lyabhonji.

But it is not only for them that I am interceding, but also for those who believe in me through their message,

21 Ngunaajuga nkupinga bhowe bhabhanganje shindu shimo. Atati! Ngunaajuga bhabhanganje nkati jetu, malinga mmwe Atati shinni nkati jangu, na nne nkati jenu. Ngunaajuga bhabhanganje shindu shimo nkupinga shilambolyo shikulupalile kuti mmwe ni nndumile.

that they all may be one – that as you, Father, are in union with us – and so the world may believe that you have sent me as your messenger.

22 Nne naapelenje ukonjelo malinga gumwaambele gula, nkupinga bhabhanganje shindu shimo malinga shituli uwe.

I have given them the honor which you have given me, so that they may be one as we are one –

23 Nne ndame nkati jabhonji, na mmwe nkati jangu nne, nkupinga bhamalilanje kubha shindu shimope, nkupinga shilambolyo shimanye kuti mmwe ni nndumile, mmwe nnakwaapinganga bhanganyabho malinga shinkumbinga nne.”

I in union with them and you with me – so that they may be perfected in their union, and so that the world may know that you have sent me as your messenger, and that you have loved them as you have loved me.

24 “Atati! Shingupinga bhummbele bhala bhabhanganje pamo na nne popowe pushindame, nkupinga bhagubhonanje Ukonjelo gwangu gummbele, pabha nshinkumbinga shilambolyo shikanabhe panganywa.

Father, my desire for all those whom you have given me is that they may be with me where I am, so that they may see the honor which you have given me; for you did love me before the beginning of the world.

25 Atati mmambone! Shilambolyo shikakummanya, ikabhe nne nimmanyi, bhanganyabha bhamumanyinji kuti mmwe ni nndumile.

Righteous Father, though the world did not know you, I knew you; and these people knew that you have sent me as your messenger.

26 Njitenda lina lyenu limanyishe ku bhanganyabho, na shimbunde kutenda nneyo, nkupinga kumbinga kwenu, kubhe mmitima jabhonji, na nne namwene mme mmunda jabhonji.”

I have made you known to them, and will do so still; that the love that you have had for me may be in their hearts, and that I may be in them also.”
