1 Ikabheje bhandu bhamo bhashemwaga a Anania na akongobhabho a Shapila nnepeila gubhaushilenje nngunda gwabhonji.
But a certain man named Ananias, with Sappirah, his wife, sold a possession,
2 Ikabheje, akuno bhaakongwe bhali bhamumanyi, Anania gubhaishiye ela ina na ina gubhapite kamuya kwa ashimitume.
and kept back part of the price, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part, and put it at the apostles' feet.
3 Bhai, a Petili gubhaabhushiye, “A Anania kwa nndi nshikunda Lishetani ampuganye ntima gwenu, kumuntembe Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo kwa iya ela ina impatile kwa usha nngunda gula?
But Peter said, "Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4 Nkanabhe usha nngunda gula pugwaaliji gwenu, na nkausheje elayo puyaaliji yenu ya tendela shinkupinga. Igala kwa nndi mwashinkuganishiya muntima gwenu kutenda nnei? Bhai mwangantemba mundu, ikabhe bhumwatembile a Nnungu!”
While you kept it, did not it remain your own? After it was sold, was not it in your power? How is it that you have conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to people, but to God."
5 A Anania bhakapilikaneje genego, gubhagwile pai gubhawile. Bhandunji bhowe bhakapilikananjeje ga jene nganijo gubhajogopenje kwa kaje.
Ananias, hearing these words, fell down and died. Great fear came on all who heard it.
6 Bhashanda gubhaikengenenje, niunishila maiti gala na gubhakopoyenje palanga, gubhapite kwaashikanga.
The young men arose and wrapped him up, and they carried him out and buried him.
7 Gakapiteje malanga ga mashaa gatatu, bhaakongwe akuno bhakakugamanya gakoposhele, gubhajinjile nnyumba mubhalinginji asha Petili mula.
About three hours later, his wife, not knowing what had happened, came in.
8 A Petili gubhaabhalanjile, “Mmalanjile! Bhuli, aino ela ino ni yowe impatilenje kwa usha nngunda gula?” A Shapila gubhaajangwile, “Elo, ni yenei.”
Peter answered her, "Tell me whether you sold the land for so much." She said, "Yes, for so much."
9 A Petili gubhaabhalanjile, “Igala nndi mmanganya kulagana kunninga Mbumu jwa Bhakulungwa? Nnole! Bhandunji bhapite kwashikanga ambuje bhenu, nnaino pubhalinginji pannangopo, shibhankopoyanje na mmwe palanga.”
But Peter asked her, "How is it that you have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? Look, the feet of those who have buried your husband are at the door, and they will carry you out."
10 Shangupe a Shapila gubhagwile pa makongono ga a Petili, gubhawile. Bhashanda bhala bhakajinjilanjeje gubhaaimenenje a Shapila bhawile, kwa nneyo gubhaakopoyenje palanga, gubhapite kwashikanga tome na ambuje bhabho.
She fell down immediately at his feet, and died. The young men came in and found her dead, and they carried her out and buried her by her husband.
11 Gubhakwetenje lipamba bhandunji bhowe bha a Nnungu na bhowe bhapilikenenje jene nganijo.
Great fear came on the whole church, and on all who heard these things.
12 Mitume bhatendaga tendanga ilapo yaigwinji kubhandu. Bhakwaakulupalilanga a Yeshu bhatendaga imananga pa lukumbi lwa a Shelemani.
By the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. They were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
13 Mundu jojowe akaliji munkumbi gwabhonji akalingaga kwiilunda. Nkali nneyo, bhandunji bhana bhatendaga kwaalumbililanga.
None of the rest dared to join them, however the people honored them.
14 Nkali nneyo bhandunji bhaakulupalilangaga Bhakulungwa gubhapundilenje kujenjesheka bhanabhalume na bhanabhakongwe.
More believers were added to the Lord, crowds of both men and women.
15 Numbe bhandunji bhatendaga kwaapelekanga bhalwelenji mumpanda njindo bhaagonekenje muinanda bhana mmakai, nkupinga pushibhapitangane asha Petili kapela shiwilisho shaishilanje.
They even carried out the sick into the streets, and put them on cots and mats, so that as Peter came by at the least his shadow would fall on some of them.
16 Bhandunji bhabhagwinji gubhaikengenenje kukopoka ilambo ipikene na ku Yelushalemu, bhalikwaajianabhonji bhalwelenji na bhaashikilwanga maoka na bhowe gubhalamiywenje.
Crowds also came together from the cities around Jerusalem, bringing sick people, and those who were tormented by unclean spirits: and they were all healed.
17 Kungai, bhakulungwa bha bhaabhishila na bhandu bhabho bhalingiji munkumbi gwa Mashadukayo, gubhaabhonelenje lupimililo ashimitume bhala.
But the high priest rose up, and all those who were with him (which is the sect of the Sadducees), and they were filled with jealousy,
18 Bhai, gubhaakamwilenje mitume bhala, gubhaugalilenje nnigelesha.
and laid hands on the apostles, and put them in public custody.
19 Ikabheje shilo malaika jwa kunnungu gwaugwile milango ja ligelesha, akwaakopoyangaga palanga gwabhabhalanjilenje,
But an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors by night, and brought them out, and said,
20 “Nnjendangane ku Likanisha nkaalugulilanje bhandunji malobhe gowe ga gumi gwa ambigu.”
"Go stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life."
21 Mitume gubhakundilenje, lyambape gubhapitengene ku Likanisha, gubhatandubhenje kujiganya. Bhakulungwa bha bhaabhishila na ajabhonji bhakaikanganeje, gubhashemilenje shitamo sha lukumbi lukulu na nkumbi gowe gwa bhanangulungwa bha Shiyaudi, gubhatumilenje bhandunji kuligelesha bhakaatolanje bhantenga bhala.
When they heard this, they entered into the temple about daybreak, and taught. But the high priest came, and those who were with him, and called the council together, and all the elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.
22 Ikabheje bhalinda bhakaikanjeje kwekula bhangaaimananga nnigelesha mula. Gubhabhujilenje, kulugula kulukumbi kula kuti,
But the officers who came did not find them in the prison. They returned and reported,
23 “Putuliimene ligelesha liugelwe ukoto na bhalinda bhajimingenenje mmilango. Ikabheje tukauguleje twangang'imana mundu jojowe nkati mula.”
"We found the prison shut and locked, and the guards standing before the doors, but when we opened them, we found no one inside."
24 Bhakulungwa bha bhalinda bha Likanisha na bhakulungwanji bha bhaabhishila bhakapilikananjeje genego gubhakwetenje lipamba, gangashimanya shaapatilenje.
Now when the captain of the temple, and the chief priests heard these words, they were very perplexed about them and what might become of this.
25 Gwaishe mundu jumo, gwabhalugulilenje, “Bhandunji bhumwaugalilenje nnigelesha bhala, nnaino mubhalinginji Nliekalu bhanakwajiganyanga bhandunji.”
One came and told them, "Look, the men whom you put in prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people."
26 Penepo bhakulungwa bha bhalinda bha Liekalu na bhalinda bhabho gubhapitengenenje ku Liekalu, gubhaatolilenje. Ikabheje bhangaakamulanga kwa mashili, pabha bhashinkwaajogopanga bhandunji bhanakomwanga maganga.
Then the captain went with the officers, and brought them without violence, for they were afraid that the people might stone them.
27 Bhai, gubhapelekenje ku lukumbi, bhakulungwa bha bhaabhishila gubhaabhushiyenje,
When they had brought them, they set them before the council. The high priest questioned them,
28 “Twangannimbiyanga kujiganya kwa lina lya bhene bhandubha? Nnaino mmanganya nshishumiyanga majiganyo genunji pa Yelushalemu powe na nnatumbililanga kutupa mmbasho ga shiwo sha bhene bhandubha.”
saying, "Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this name? And look, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and intend to bring this man's blood on us."
29 Penepo a Petili bhali na mitume bhananji bhala, gubhajangwile, “Tunapinjikwa kwaakunda a Nnungu kupunda bhandunji.
But Peter and the apostles answered, "We must obey God rather than people.
30 A Nnungu bha ashainabhetu bhashikwayuya a Yeshu bhumwabhulegenje mmanganyanji kwa kwaakomela munshalabha.
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a tree.
31 Bhenebha ni bhakweshiywe na a Nnungu mpaka kunkono nnilo gwabho, nibha Akalongolele na Bhaatapula, bhaakomboyanje Bhaishilaeli kwiipeta, nkupinga bhaleshelelwanje ilebho yabhonji.
God exalted him with his right hand to be a Leader and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.
32 Uwe tubhaakong'ondela bha genego, pamo naka Mbumu jwa Ukonjelo jubhapegwilwenje na a Nnungu bhowe bhakwaakundanga.”
We are witnesses of these things; and so also is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him."
33 Bhandunji bhowe bha lukumbi lula bhakapilikananjeje genego, guyaashimilenje, gubhatumbililenje kwaabhulaganga.
But they, when they heard this, were furious, and wanted to kill them.
34 Ikabheje a Palishayo bhamo bhashemwaga a Gamalieli bhaliji bhaajiganya bha malajilo na bhatendaga jogopeka na bhandu bhowe, gubhajimi pa lukumbi pala, gubhajujile bhantenga bhala bhakopoywanje kashoko palanga.
But one stood up in the council, a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the Law, honored by all the people, and commanded to put the men out for a little while.
35 Kungai gubhaalugululilenje bhalukumbi bhala, “Mmashilambo ajangunji mma pa Ishilaeli, mwiteiganje nkanabhe tendanga shitendi shinkupinganga kwaatendanga abha bhandunjibha!
He said to them, "You men of Israel, be careful concerning these men, what you are about to do.
36 Bhashinkukoposhela bhandu bhamo bhukala, lina lyabho a Teuda, bhaitembile ukulungwa, na bhandunji tome na ishila mia pasheshe gubhailundilenje na bhenebho. Ikabheje gubhabhulegwe, na bhene bhaakulupalilangaga bhala gubhapwilingenenje na shikundi shila shikuwaga.
For before these days Todah rose up, making himself out to be somebody; to whom a number of men, about four hundred, joined themselves: who was slain; and all, as many as obeyed him, were dispersed, and came to nothing.
37 Na kabhili, mobha ga bhalanganya bhandu gala, bhakoposhele a Yuda bha ku Galilaya. Bhashinkukola nshemyo na bhandu gubhaakagwilenje, ikabheje na bhalabho nnepeila gubhabhulegwe na bhaakulupalila bhabho gubhapwilingenenje.”
After this man, Judas of Galilee rose up in the days of the enrollment, and drew away some people after him. He also perished, and all, as many as obeyed him, were scattered abroad.
38 “Bhai nnaino ngunakummalanjilanga, bhanganyabha mwaalekenje nnaatendanje shindu shoshowe! Pabha jene nganiji ibhaga jikumbwiywe na bhandunjipe, shijiwe jiyenepe.
Now I tell you, withdraw from these men, and leave them alone. For if this counsel or this work is of human origin, it will be overthrown.
39 Ikabheje, ibhaga kujikopweshe kwa a Nnungu, nkaakombolanga, pabha shiibhe mbuti nkwaataukanga a Nnungu.”
But if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them, and you would be found even to be fighting against God."
40 Bhai gubhaapilikanishiyenje malobhe gabho, gubhaashemilenje mitume bhala, gubhaakomilenje ibhoko na kwaalimbiyanga kujiganya kabhili kwa lina lya a Yeshu, nigubhaaleshilenje bhajabhulangane.
They agreed with him. Summoning the apostles, they beat them and commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.
41 Bhai, bhantenga gubhakopokenje palanga lukumbi, akuno ili yanonyelenje kwa kaje pabha bhashipinjikwanga tokomaywa kwa ligongo lya a Yeshu.
They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the Name.
42 Gubhapundilenje kujiganya na lunguya mobha gowe ku Likanisha na mmajumba ga bhandunji Ngani ja Mmbone ja a Yeshu kuti ni a Kilishitu.
Every day, in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming that Jesus is the Christ.
