1 Kungai bhakilishitu ajangunji, tunakunshondelesheyanga na kunnjuganga kwa lina lya Bhakulungwa a Yeshu, malinga shimwiijigenyenje kopoka kwetu uwe kutama nkwaanonyeya a Nnungu, na malinga shinkutamanganashi, nnapinjikwanga mpundanje kutenda nneyo.

Finally then, brothers, we urge and exhort you in the Lord Jesus: as you received from us how you ought to behave and please God, do so even more

2 Pabha nnikumbushilanga malajilo gutwampelenje gala, kwa mashili ga Bhakulungwa a Yeshu.

—you know what instructions we gave you through Sovereign Jesus.

3 A Nnungu bhanapinga mmanganya mmanganje bha ukonjelo nnikwiembuyanga na labhalabha.

Now this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you stay away from fornication;

4 Kila jwannume amanye kwiigoya nnyene atame kwa ukonjelo na ishima,

that each of you know how to gain possession of his own ‘vessel’ in sanctification and honor,

5 nngabha kwa ilokoli yangali ya mmbone malinga shibhatendanga bhandunji bhakakwaamanyanga a Nnungu.

not in lustful passion (like the heathen who do not know God);

6 Bhai kwa gene malobhe gano, mundu jojowe ananneebhele nnjakwe eu kuntekeya kwa ligongo lya ilokoli yakwe. Twammalanjilenje genego na kunneyanga kuti Bhakulungwa shibhaaukumulanje bhatendanga genego.

that no one trespass and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such behavior, as, indeed, we have already told you and warned you.

7 Pabha a Nnungu bhangatushema nkupinga tutende ya nyata, ikabhe tutame muukonjelo.

Because God did not call us for uncleanness, but by holiness.

8 Bhai, kwa nneyo akana gene majiganyogo, akakunkana mundu, ikabhe anakwaakana a Nnungu bhayene, bhakumpanganga Mbumu jwabho jwa Ukonjelo.

So then, the rejecter is not rejecting man, but God, the very One who gave you His Holy Spirit.

9 Ga pingana, bhakilishitu ajetunji nkwetenje ngulupai, tukannjandishilanga pabha mwaashayene nnjigenywenje na a Nnungu ga pingana.

Now about brotherly love you do not need to be written to, for you yourselves are taught by God to love one another,

10 Pabha nnatendanga nneyo kwa bhakilishitu ajetunji bhowe bhalinginji ku Makedonia. Bhai, tunakunnjuganga mpundanje tenda nneyo.

because in fact you are doing so toward all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Still, we exhort you to do even more, brothers,

11 Nntamangananje kwa kwitimalika, kila mundu atende indu yakwe nyene na tenda liengo malinga shitwannajilenje.

to make it a point to be peaceable and to mind your own business, to work with your hands (as we instructed you),

12 Kwa tenda nneyo shinnumbililwanje na bhandunji bhangabha Bhakilishitu, wala nkalolelanga kujangutilwa indu naka mundu jojowe.

so that outsiders may be well impressed by your life style, and that you may have no lack.

13 Ikabheje bhakilishitu ajetunji, tukaapinga nnamumanyanje ga bhandu bhawilenje, nkupinga nnainjikanga malinga bhandunji bhana bhangalinginji na ngulupai.

Now then, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who have ‘fallen asleep’, so that you do not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

14 Pabha uwe tunakulupalila kuti a Yeshu bhashinkuwa niyuka, nneyo peyo tunakulupalila kuti a Nnungu kupitila a Yeshu, bhowe bhawilenje bhalikwaakulupalilanga a Yeshu, a Nnungu shibhaajianabhonji pamo na a Yeshu.

Because since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, just so will God bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.

15 Pabha kwa tolelela na majiganyo ga Bhakulungwa ni kuti, tubhabhakoto uwe, shitulepeshe mpaka malanga gushibhaishe Bhakulungwa, kweli tukaalongolelanga bhawilenje bhala.

For this we say to you by a word of the Lord, that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will absolutely not precede those who have fallen asleep;

16 Pabha Bhakulungwa bhayene shibhatulushe kopoka kunnungu na lilobhe lya utiya, na akuno lilobhe lya utiya lika malaika nkulu lilipilikanika, na akuno mbalapala ja a Nnungu jilipilikanika, na bhawilenje bhalikwakulupalilanga a Yeshu bhala, shibhabhanganje bha ntai kuyuywa.

because the Lord Himself—with a commanding shout, with the archangel's voice and with God's trumpet—will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first;

17 Kungai uwe tuli tubhabhakoto shitunyakulwe pamo na bhanganyabho kukwaposhela Bhakulungwa kunani. Kwa nneyo shitutame nabho mobha gowe.

then we who are still alive, who are left, will be snatched up together with them in clouds to meet the Lord in the air. In precisely this way we will always be with the Lord.

18 Bhai, ntagananje ntima kwa gene malobhega.

So then, comfort one another with these words.
