1 Mundu jojowe akulupalila kuti a Yeshu ni a Kilishitu, jwenejo ni mwana jwa a Nnungu na kila mundu akwaapinga a Tati, nneila peila anakumpinga mwana gwabho.
Whoever believeth that Jesus is the Messiah, is born of God. And whoever loveth the begetter, loveth him also that is begotten of him.
2 Nnei ni putukumumanya kuti tulikwaapinganga bhana bha a Nnungu, kwa kwaapinga a Nnungu na kuikamula amuli yabho.
And by this we know, that we love the children of God, when we love God, and follow his commandments.
3 Pabha kwaapinga a Nnungu ni kukagulila amuli, na amuli yabho yangali ukomu.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not burdensome.
4 Pabha kila mwana jwa a Nnungu anakushikombola shilambolyo. Tunakushikombola shilambolyo kupitila ngulupai yetu.
Because, whoever is born of God, overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, our faith.
5 Gani akushikombola shilambolyo? Ni jwene akulupalila kuti a Yeshu ni mwana jwa a Nnungu.
For who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
6 A Yeshu Kilishitu ni bhaaishe kwa bhatishwa kwabho mmashi, na kwa minyai ja kuwa kwabho. Bhanngaika kwa mashipe, ikabheje pamo na mashi na minyai. Na Mbumu ni akong'ondela yene indu ila, pabha Mbumu ni jwa kweli.
This is he who came by the water and the blood. Jesus the Messiah; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit testifieth; because the Spirit is truth.
7 Pabha pubhalinginji bhaakong'ondela bhatatu.
For there are three that testify in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit: and these three are one.
8 Mbumu, Mashi na Minyai na bhanaatatu lilobhe lyabhonji limope.
And there are three witnesses, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are in union.
9 Ibhaga tuukunda ukong'ondelo gwa bhandunji, ukong'ondelo gwa a Nnungu ni gwankulungwa kaje, na gwenego ni ukong'ondelo gubhakong'ondele a Nnungu, ga bhanabhabho.
If we receive the testimony of men, how much greater is the testimony of God? And this is the testimony of God, which he hath testified concerning his Son.
10 Kila mundu akunkulupalila mwana jwa a Nnungu, akwete gwene ukong'ondelogu muntima gwakwe. Ikabheje jwene akakwaakulupalila a Nnungu, ashikwaatenda kuti bhanami, pabha jwangakulupalila ukong'ondelo gubhakong'ondele a Nnungu, ga bhanabhabho.
Whoever believeth in the Son of God, hath this testimony in himself. And whoever believeth not God, hath made him a liar, by not believing the testimony which God hath testified concerning his Son.
11 Na gwenegu ni ukong'ondelo, kuti a Nnugnu bhashikutupa gumi gwa pitipiti, na gwene gumigu muuli mwa bhanabhabho. (aiōnios g166)
And this is the testimony, that God hath given to us life eternal, and this life is in his Son. (aiōnios g166)
12 Jwene akwete bhanabhabho a Nnungu, akwete gumi, ikabheje jwene jwangali bhanabhabho a Nnugnu, jwangali gumi.
Every one that taketh hold of the Son, taketh hold of life; and every one that taketh not hold of the Son, hath not life.
13 Ngunakunnjandishilanga gene malobhe gano mmanganyanji nkulikulupalilanga lina lya bhanabhabho a Nnungu, kupinga mmumanyanje kuti nkwetenje gumi gwa pitipiti. (aiōnios g166)
These things have I written to you, that ye may know that ye have life eternal, ye who believe in the name of the Son of God. (aiōnios g166)
14 Na uwe tukwete makangala ga muntima kwa a Nnungu. Pabha tumumanyi kuti shibhatupilikane twaajugaga shindu shoshowe, malinga shibhapinga bhayene.
And this is the confidence that we have towards him, that whatever we ask of him, agreeably to his will, he heareth us.
15 Bhai, ibhaga tumumanyi kuti bhanakutupilikana putukwaajuga, tumumanyi kuti bhatupele shoshowe shitwaajujile.
And if we are persuaded that he heareth us respecting what we ask of him, we are confident of receiving presently the petitions which we asked of him.
16 Mundu ammonaga nkilishitu njakwe alitenda shambi shikaapeleshela shiwo, anapinjikwa annjujile kwa a Nnungu, na a Nnungu shibhampe jwene mundujo gumi. Yani mundu atendile shambi shikaapeleshela shiwo. Pabha shipali shambi shiipeleshela shiwo, ikabheje ngaabheleketa ajuje ga shene shambisho.
If any one shall see his brother sin a sin which doth not deserve death, he shall ask, and life will be given him, to them I say who sin not as unto death. For there is a sin of death; and I do not say of this, that a man should pray for it.
17 Kila shitendi shangali aki ni shambi, ikabheje shipali shambi shikaapeleshela shiwo.
For all iniquity is sin; and there is a sin which is not of death.
18 Tumumanyi kuti kila mwana jwa a Nnungu akaatenda yambi, pabha Bhanabhabho a Nnungu shibhampe ulinda, na Lishetani akakombola kunkwaya.
And we know, that every one who is born of God, sinneth not: for he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.
19 Tumumanyi kuti uwe ni bhana bha a Nnungu, nkali Shilambolyo showe shitagwalwa na Lishetaniyo.
We know, that we are of God; and all the world is reposing on the evil one.
20 Tumumanyi nneila peila kuti mwana jwa a Nnungu aishe, na jwenejo atupele lumanyio kupinga twaamanye a Nnungu bhali bha kweli. Na uwe tunalundana na a Nnungu bha kweli, kupitila bhana bhabho a Yeshu Kilishitu. Bhenebha ni a Nnungu bha kweli na gumi gwa pitipiti. (aiōnios g166)
And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us knowledge that we might know the True One; and that we might be in the True One, in his Son Jesus the Messiah. He is the true God, and the life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
21 Mmana bhungumpinganga, mwiiembuyanje na kuitindibhalila yanamu.
My children, keep yourselves from idolatry.
