जखऱ्या 2

1 १ मग मी माझे डोळे वर करून पाहिले असता मापनसूत्र घेतलेला एक मनुष्य माझ्या दृष्टीस पडला.

I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

2 २ तेव्हा मी त्यास विचारले, “तू कोठे चाललास?” तो मला म्हणाला, “मी यरूशलेमची मोजणी करायाला, तिची लांबी-रुंदी पाहण्यास जात आहे.”

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

3 ३ मग माझ्याशी बोलत असलेला देवदूत निघून जात असता दुसरा देवदूत त्याच्याशी बोलायला गेला.

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

4 ४ दुसरा देवदूत त्या पहिल्या देवदूताला म्हणाला, “धावत जा आणि त्या तरुणाशी बोल; त्यास सांग, ‘यरूशलेमेत मनुष्यांचे व गुराढोरांचे वास्तव्य जास्त झाल्याने तटबंदी नसलेल्या गावाप्रमाणे तिच्यांत वस्ती होईल.’

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

5 ५ परमेश्वर म्हणतो, ‘मी तिच्या सभोवती अग्नीची भिंत बनेन, आणि मी तिच्यामध्ये गौरवी तेज होईन.”

For I, saith Yhwh, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

6 ६ परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “त्वरा करा, उत्तरेकडील प्रदेशातून पळून जा. होय! मी तुम्हास आकाशाच्या चार वाऱ्याप्रमाणे चहूकडे पांगवले आहे.”

Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith Yhwh: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith Yhwh.

7 ७ “अहो! बाबेलकन्येसोबत राहणाऱ्यांनो, सियोनेकडे पळून स्वतःचा बचाव करा!”

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

8 ८ कारण, सेनाधीश परमेश्वराने माझे गौरव केले आणि तुम्हास लुटणाऱ्या राष्ट्रांविरूद्ध मला पाठवले आहे; जो कोणी तुला स्पर्श करतो तो देवाच्या डोळ्याच्या बुबुळाला स्पर्श करतो! परमेश्वराने हे केल्यानंतर, तो म्हणाला,

For thus saith Yhwh of Armies; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

9 ९ “मी आपला हात त्यांच्यावर उगारीन, आणि ते त्यांच्या गुलामांसाठी लूट होतील तेव्हा तुम्हास कळेल की सेनाधीश परमेश्वराने मला पाठवले आहे.”

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that Yhwh of Armies hath sent me.

10 १० परमेश्वर असे म्हणतो, “हे सियोनकन्ये, हर्षित होऊन गा! कारण मी स्वतः येईन व मी तुझ्यात वास्तव्य करीन.”

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith Yhwh.

11 ११ त्यानंतर त्या दिवसात पुष्कळ राष्ट्रे परमेश्वराकडे येऊन त्यास मिळतील. तो म्हणतो, “तेव्हा तुम्ही माझी प्रजा व्हाल; कारण मी तुम्हामध्ये वस्ती करीन.” आणि मग तुला समजेल की मला तुझ्याकडे सेनाधीश परमेश्वराने पाठवले आहे.

And many nations shall be joined to Yhwh in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that Yhwh of Armies hath sent me unto thee.

12 १२ स्वत: ची पवित्र नगरी म्हणून परमेश्वर यरूशलेमची फेरनिवड करील यहूदा म्हणजे परमेश्वराच्या पवित्र भूमीचा वाटा असेल.

And Yhwh shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

13 १३ लोकहो शांत राहा! कारण, परमेश्वर आपल्या पवित्र निवासातून येत आहे.

Be silent, O all flesh, before Yhwh: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
