स्तोत्रसंहिता 94

1 १ हे परमेश्वरा, देवा तुझ्याकडे सूड घेणे आहे, तुझ्याकडे सूड घेणे आहे; तू हे देवा आपले तेज प्रगट कर.

The Lord is the God to whom revenge belongeth: the God of revenge hath acted freely.

2 २ पृथ्वीच्या न्यायाधीशा, ऊठ, गर्विष्ठांना त्यांचे उचित प्रतिफल दे.

Lift up thyself, thou that judgest the earth: render a reward to the proud.

3 ३ हे परमेश्वरा, दुष्ट किती काळ, दुष्ट किती काळ विजयोत्सव करतील?

How long shall sinners, O Lord: how long shall sinners glory?

4 ४ ते बडबड करतात आणि उर्मटपणे बोलतात आणि फुशारकी मारतात.

Shall they utter, and speak iniquity: shall all speak who work injustice?

5 ५ हे परमेश्वरा, ते तुझ्या लोकांस चिरडतात; जे तुझ्या मालकीचे राष्ट्र आहे त्यांना ते पीडितात.

Thy people, O Lord, they have brought low: and they have afflicted thy inheritance.

6 ६ ते विधवांना आणि उपऱ्यांचा जीव घेतात, आणि ते अनाथांचा खून करतात.

They have slain the widow and the stranger: and they have murdered the fatherless.

7 ७ ते म्हणतात की, परमेश्वर बघणार नाही, याकोबाचा देव लक्ष देत नाही.

And they have said: The Lord shall not see: neither shall the God of Jacob understand.

8 ८ अहो तुम्ही मूर्ख लोकांनो, समजून घ्या; मूर्खांनो, तुम्ही कधीपर्यंत शिकणार आहात?

Understand, ye senseless among the people: and, you fools, be wise at last.

9 ९ ज्याने आपला कान घडविला तो ऐकणार नाही काय? ज्याने आपला डोळा बनविला तो पाहणार नाही काय?

He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? or he that formed the eye, doth he not consider?

10 १० जो राष्ट्रांना शिस्त लावतो, तो शिक्षा करणार नाही का? जो मनुष्यांना ज्ञान शिकवतो. तो अज्ञानी असणार का?

He that chastiseth nations, shall he not rebuke: he that teacheth man knowledge?

11 ११ परमेश्वर मनुष्यांचे विचार जाणतो, ते भ्रष्ट आहेत.

The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men, that they are vain.

12 १२ हे परमेश्वरा ज्या मनुष्यास तू शिस्त लावतोस, ज्याला आपल्या नियमशास्रातून शिकवितोस तो आशीर्वादित आहे.

Blessed is the man whom thou shalt instruct, O Lord: and shalt teach him out of thy law.

13 १३ दुष्टासाठी खाच खणली जाईपर्यंत, तू त्यास संकटसमयी विसावा देशील.

That thou mayst give him rest from the evil days: till a pit be dug for the wicked.

14 १४ कारण परमेश्वर आपल्या लोकांस किंवा आपल्या वतनाला सोडून देणार नाही.

For the Lord will not cast off his people: neither will he forsake his own inheritance.

15 १५ कारण न्याय नितीमानाकडे वळेल; आणि सरळ मनाचे सर्व तो अनुसरतील.

Until justice be turned into judgment: and they that are near it are all the upright in heart.

16 १६ माझ्यासाठी दुष्कर्म करणाऱ्याविरूद्ध कोण लढेल? अन्याय करणाऱ्याविरूद्ध माझ्यासाठी कोण उभा राहिल?

Who shall rise up for me against the evildoers? or who shall stand with me against the workers of iniquity?

17 १७ जर परमेश्वराने मला मदत केली नसती, तर माझा जीव निवांतस्थानी कधीच जाऊन पडला असता.

Unless the Lord had been my helper, my soul had almost dwelt in hell. (questioned)

18 १८ जेव्हा मी म्हणतो, माझा पाय घसरला आहे, तेव्हा, परमेश्वरा, तुझा विश्वासाचा करार मला उचलून धरतो.

If I said: My foot is moved: thy mercy, O Lord, assisted me.

19 १९ जेव्हा माझे मन खूप चिंताग्रस्त होते तेव्हा तुझ्यापसून लाभणारे सांत्वन माझ्या जिवाला आनंदित करते.

According to the multitude of my sorrows in my heart, thy comforts have given joy to my soul.

20 २० जे दुष्टपणाचे राजासन कायद्याने अरिष्ट योजते ते तुझ्याशी संबंध ठेवाल काय?

Doth the seat of iniquity stick to thee, who framest labour in commandment?

21 २१ ते नितीमानाच्या जिवाविरूद्ध एकवट होतात, आणि निर्दोष्यांस देहांत शिक्षा देतात;

They will hunt after the soul of the just, and will condemn innocent blood.

22 २२ परंतु परमेश्वर माझा उंच बुरुज आहे, आणि माझा देव मला आश्रयाचा खडक आहे.

But the Lord is my refuge: and my God the help of my hope.

23 २३ त्याने त्यांचा अन्याय त्यांच्यावरच आणला आहे; आणि त्यांच्याच दुष्टपणात तो त्यांना नाहीसे करील. आमचा देव परमेश्वर त्यांना नाहीसे करील.

And he will render them their iniquity: and in their malice he will destroy them: the Lord our God will destroy them.
