स्तोत्रसंहिता 87

1 १ परमेश्वराचे नगर पवित्र पर्वतावर स्थापले आहे.

Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm. A Song. His foundation is in the mountains of holiness.

2 २ याकोबाच्या सर्व तंबूपेक्षा परमेश्वरास सियोनेचे द्वार अधिक प्रिय आहे.

Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion more than all the habitations of Jacob.

3 ३ हे देवाच्या नगरी, तुझ्याविषयी गौरवाच्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या आहेत.

Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. (Selah)

4 ४ राहाब आणि बाबेल माझे अनुयायी आहेत असे मी सांगेन. पाहा, पलिष्टी, सोर व कूश म्हणतात त्यांचा जन्म तेथलाच.

I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon among them that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: this [man] was born there.

5 ५ सियोनेविषयी असे म्हणतील की, हा प्रत्येक तिच्यात जन्मला होता; आणि परात्पर स्वतः तिला प्रस्थापित करील.

And of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her.

6 ६ लोकांची नोंदणी करताना, ह्याचा जन्म तेथलाच होता असे परमेश्वर लिहील.

Jehovah will count, when he inscribeth the peoples, This [man] was born there. (Selah)

7 ७ गायन करणारे आणि वाद्ये वाजवणारेही म्हणतील की, माझ्या सर्व पाण्याचे झरे तुझ्यात आहेत.”

As well the singers as the dancers [shall say], All my springs are in thee.
