स्तोत्रसंहिता 81

1 १ आसाफाचे स्तोत्र देव जो आमचे सामर्थ्य, त्यास मोठ्याने गा; याकोबाच्या देवाचा आनंदाने जयजयकार करा.

Sing aloud to God, our strength! Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob [Supplanter]!

2 २ गाणे गा आणि डफ वाजवा, मंजुळ वीणा व सतार वाजवा.

Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.

3 ३ नव चंद्रदर्शनाला, पौर्णिमेस, आमच्या सणाच्या दिवसाची सुरवात होते त्या दिवशी एडक्याच्या शिंगाचा कर्णा वाजवा.

Blow the shofar ·ram horn· at the New Moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.

4 ४ कारण हा इस्राएलासाठी नियम आहे. हा याकोबाच्या देवाने दिलेला विधी आहे.

For it is a statute for Israel [God prevails], an judgement of the God of Jacob [Supplanter].

5 ५ जेव्हा तो मिसर देशाविरूद्ध गेला, तेव्हा त्याने योसेफामध्ये त्याने साक्षीसाठी हा नियम लावला. तेथे मला न समजणारी भाषा मी ऐकली.

He appointed it in Joseph [May he add] for a testimony, when he went out over the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery], I sh'ma ·heard obeyed· a language that I didn’t know.

6 ६ मी त्याच्या खांद्यावरचे ओझे काढून टाकले आहे; टोपली धरण्यापासून त्याचे हात मोकळे केले आहेत.

“I removed his shoulder from the burden. His hands were freed from the basket.

7 ७ तू संकटात असता आरोळी केली, आणि मी तुला मदत केली; मी तुला मेघगर्जनेच्या गुप्त स्थळातून उत्तर दिले; मी मरीबाच्या पाण्याजवळ तुमची परीक्षा घेतली.

You called in trouble, and I delivered you. I answered you in the secret place of thunder. I tested you at the waters of Meribah [Quarreling].” (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.

8 ८ अहो माझ्या लोकांनो, माझे ऐका, कारण मी तुम्हास सूचना देतो, हे इस्राएला जर तू मात्र माझे ऐकशील तर बरे होईल.

“Sh'ma ·Hear obey·, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel [God prevails], if you would listen to me!

9 ९ तुझ्यामध्ये परके देव नसावेत; तू कोणत्याही परक्या देवाची उपासना करू नकोस.

There shall be no strange deity in you, neither shall you hawa ·bow low, prostrate· to worship any foreign deity.

10 १० मीच तुझा देव परमेश्वर आहे, मीच तुम्हास मिसर देशातून बाहेर आणले. तू आपले तोंड चांगले उघड आणि मी ते भरीन.

I am Adonai, your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

11 ११ परंतु माझ्या लोकांनी माझी वाणी ऐकली नाही; इस्राएलाने माझी आज्ञा पाळली नाही.

But my people didn’t sh'ma ·hear obey· my voice. Israel [God prevails] desired none of me.

12 १२ म्हणून मी त्यांना त्यांच्या हटवादी मार्गाने वागू दिले, अशासाठी की जे त्यांच्या दृष्टीने योग्य आहे ते त्यांनी करावे.

So I let them go after the stubbornness of their hearts, that they might walk in their own counsels.

13 १३ अहा, जर माझे लोक माझे ऐकतील; अहा, जर माझे लोक माझ्या मार्गाने चालतील तर बरे होईल!

Oh that my people would sh'ma ·hear obey· me, that Israel [God prevails] would walk in my ways!

14 १४ मग मी त्यांच्या शत्रूंचा त्वरेने पराभव करीन आणि अत्याचार करणाऱ्याविरूद्ध आपला हात फिरवीन.

I would soon subdue their enemies, and turn my hand against their adversaries.

15 १५ परमेश्वराचा द्वेष करणारे भितीने त्याच्यापुढे दबून जातील. ते सर्वकाळ अपमानीत राहतील.

The haters of Adonai would cringe before him, and their punishment would last forever.

16 १६ मी इस्राएलास उत्तम गहू खाण्यास देईन; मी तुला खडकातल्या मधाने तृप्त करीन.

But he would have also fed them with the finest of the wheat. I will satisfy you with honey out of the rock.”
