1 १ दाविदाचे स्तोत्र हे देवा, माझ्यावर दया कर, माझ्यावर दया कर, कारण माझा जीव ही संकटे टळून जाईपर्यंत तुझ्यात आश्रय घेतो.
To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities are past by.
2 २ मी परात्पर देवाकडे, जो देव माझ्यासाठी सर्वकाही करतो त्याचा मी धावा करीन.
I will cry to God most high; to God that performeth all things for me.
3 ३ तो स्वर्गातून मला मदत पाठवतो आणि मला वाचवतो, जेव्हा मनुष्य मला गिळून टाकण्याची इच्छा करतो तेव्हा तो त्यास धमकावतो; देव त्याच्या कराराची विश्वसनीयता आणि त्याचा विश्वासूपणा मला दाखवतो.
He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. (Selah) God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.
4 ४ माझा जीव सिंहाच्यामध्ये पडला आहे; ज्यांचे दात भाले आणि बाण आहेत, आणि ज्यांची जीभ तलवारीसारखी धारदार आहे अशा लोकांमध्ये मला जबरदस्तीने रहावे लागत आहे.
My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.
5 ५ हे देवा, तू आकाशापेक्षाही उंच हो; तुझा माहिमा सर्व पृथ्वीवर होवो.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.
6 ६ त्यांनी माझ्या पावलांसाठी सापळा तयार केला आहे; माझा जीव वाकून गेला आहे; त्यांनी माझ्यासमोर खाच खणली आहे, परंतु ते स्वतःच त्यामध्ये पडले आहेत.
They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have dug a pit before me, into the midst of which they have fallen themselves. (Selah)
7 ७ हे देवा, माझे हृदय स्थिर आहे, माझे हृदय स्थिर आहे; मी गाईन, होय, मी स्तुती गाईन.
My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.
8 ८ हे माझ्या गौरवी जीवा, जागा हो; हे सतारी आणि वीणे, जागे व्हा; मी पहाटेला जागे करीन.
Awake, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
9 ९ हे प्रभू, मी सर्व लोकांमध्ये तुला धन्यवाद देईन; मी सर्व राष्ट्रांमध्ये तुझी स्तवने गाईन.
I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing to thee among the nations.
10 १० कारण तुझ्या कराराची विश्वसनियता आकाशापर्यंत महान आहे आणि तुझा विश्वासूपणा ढगापर्यंत पोहचतो.
For thy mercy is great to the heavens, and thy truth to the clouds.
11 ११ हे देवा, तू आकाशाच्या वर उंचविला जावो; तुझा महिमा सर्व पृथ्वीवर उंच होवो.
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.
