स्तोत्रसंहिता 50
1 १ आसाफाचे स्तोत्र. थोर परमेश्वर देव, बोलला आहे. आणि पृथ्वीला तिच्या उगवतीपासून मावळतीपर्यंत हाक मारली.
“A psalm of Assaph.” The God of gods, the Lord, speaketh, and calleth the earth, from the rising of the sun unto his setting.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shineth forth.
3 ३ आमचा देव येईल आणि तो शांत राहणार नाही, त्याच्यासमोर आग नाश करत चालली आहे, आणि त्याच्याभोवती वादळ घोंगावत आहे.
Our God is coming, and will not keep silence: a fire devoureth before him, and round him there rageth a mighty storm.
He will call to the heavens above, and to the earth, to judge his people.
5 ५ देव म्हणतो, “माझ्या भक्तांनो माझ्याभोवती गोळा व्हा. ज्यांनी यज्ञाच्या व्दारे माझ्याशी करार केला आहे.”
“Gather together unto me my pious servants, who make a covenant with me by sacrifice.”
And the heavens tell of his righteousness; for God is judge himself. (Selah)
“Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: God, thy God, am I.
Not because of thy sacrifices will I reprove thee; and thy burnt-offerings are continually before me.
I will not take a bullock out of thy house, nor he-goats out of thy folds.
For mine are all the beasts of the forest, the cattle upon a thousand mountains.
I know all the fowls of the mountains: whatever moveth on the fields is with me.
If I were hungry, I would not say it to thee; for mine is the world, and what filleth it.
Do I eat the flesh of fatted bulls, or drink the blood of he-goats?
Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay unto the Most High thy vows;
And call on me on the day of distress: I will deliver thee, — and so wilt thou glorify me.”
16 १६ देव दुष्ट लोकांस म्हणतो, तुम्ही लोक माझ्या कायद्यांबद्दल बोलण्याचे काय काम आहे? आणि तू माझा करार तुझ्या तोंडाने उच्चरणारा आहेस?
But unto the wicked God saith, “What hast thou to do to relate my statutes, and why bearest thou my covenant upon thy mouth?
And yet thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.
18 १८ तुम्ही चोराला बघता आणि त्याच्याबरोबर सहमत होता. तुम्ही व्यभिचार करणाऱ्या लोकांबरोबर सहभागी होता.
When thou seest a thief, then art thou pleased with him, and with adulterers hast thou thy portion.
Thou lettest loose thy mouth with evil, and thy tongue frameth deceit.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; against thy own mother's son thou utterest slander.
21 २१ तुम्ही वाईट गोष्टी करता आणि तरीही मी गप्प राहिलो. मी तुझ्यासारखा आहे असे तुला वाटले, परंतू मी तुझा निषेध करणार आणि तुझ्या डोळ्यापुढे ओळीने सर्वकाही मांडणार.
These things hast thou done, and I kept silence: thou didst ween that I am like thyself; [but] I will reprove thee, and set it in order before thy eyes.”
22 २२ तुम्ही लोक देवाला विसरला आहात. मी तुम्हास फाडून टाकण्यापूर्वीच तुम्ही हे सारे लक्षात घ्या जर तसे घडले तर तुम्हास कोणीही वाचवू शकणार नाही.
Do but reflect on this, ye that forget God, lest I tear [you] in pieces, with none to deliver.
23 २३ जो कोणी उपकारस्तुतीचा यज्ञ अर्पितो, आणि जो कोणी आपला मार्ग सरळ योजितो, त्यास मी देवाचे तारण दाखवेन.
Whoso offereth thanksgiving glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his course aright, will I show the salvation of God.
