स्तोत्रसंहिता 38

1 १ आठवण देण्यासाठी, दाविदाचे स्तोत्र. परमेश्वरा, तुझ्या क्रोधात मला ताडना करू नकोस, आणि तुझ्या कोपात मला शिक्षा करू नकोस.

O Yhwh, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.

2 २ कारण तुझे बाण मला छेदतात, आणि तुझा हात मला खाली दाबतो आहे.

For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.

3 ३ माझे सर्व शरीर तुझ्या क्रोधाने आजारी झाले आहे. आणि माझ्या अपराधांमुळे माझ्या हाडांत स्वस्थता नाही.

There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.

4 ४ कारण माझ्या वाईट गोष्टींनी मला दडपून टाकले आहे. ते माझ्याकरिता फार जड असे ओझे झाले आहे.

For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.

5 ५ माझ्या पापाच्या मूर्खपणामुळे, माझ्या जखमा संसर्गजन्य आणि दुर्गंधित झाल्या आहेत.

My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

6 ६ मी वाकलो आहे आणि प्रत्येक दिवशी मानहानी होते; दिवसभर मी शोक करतो.

I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.

7 ७ कारण लज्जेने मला गाठले आहे, आणि माझे सर्व शरीर आजारी आहे.

For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.

8 ८ मी बधिर आणि पूर्णपणे ठेचला गेलो आहे. आपल्या हृदयाच्या तळमळीने मी कण्हतो.

I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.

9 ९ हे प्रभू, तू माझ्या हृदयाची खोल उत्कंठ इच्छा समजतोस, आणि माझे कण्हणे तुझ्यापासून लपले नाही.

Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

10 १० माझे हृदय धडधडत आहे, माझी शक्ती क्षीण झाली आहे आणि माझी दृष्टीही अंधुक झाली आहे.

My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.

11 ११ माझ्या परिस्थितीमुळे माझे मित्र आणि माझे सोबती मला टाळतात, माझे शेजारी माझ्यापासून लांब उभे राहतात.

My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.

12 १२ जे माझा जीव घेऊ पाहतात ते माझ्यासाठी पाश मांडतात. जे माझी हानी करू पाहतात ते दिवसभर विध्वंसक आणि कपटाचे शब्द बोलतात.

They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.

13 १३ मी तर बहिर्‍यासारखा होऊन ऐकत नाही; मुक्यासारखा मी आपले तोंड उघडत नाही.

But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.

14 १४ ऐकू न येणाऱ्या माणसासारखा मी आहे, ज्याच्याकडे काही उत्तर नाही.

Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.

15 १५ परमेश्वरा, खचित मी तुझी वाट पाहीन. प्रभू माझ्या देवा, तू मला उत्तर देशील.

For in thee, O Yhwh, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.

16 १६ कारण मी जर म्हणालो तू उत्तर दिले नाही, तर माझे शत्रू माझ्यावर आनंद करतील. जर माझा पाय घसरला, तर ते भयानक गोष्टी करतील.

For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.

17 १७ कारण मी अडखळून पडण्याच्या बेतास आलो आहे, आणि मी सतत यातनेत आहे.

For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.

18 १८ मी माझा अपराध कबूल करतो; मी माझ्या पापासंबंधी चिंताकुल आहे.

For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin.

19 १९ परंतु माझे शत्रू असंख्य आहेत; जे माझा वाईटाने द्वेष करतात ते पुष्कळ आहेत.

But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.

20 २० माझ्या चांगल्याची परतफेड ते वाईटाने करतात. जरी मी चांगले अनुसरलो. तरी माझ्यावर ते दोषारोपण करतात.

They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.

21 २१ हे परमेश्वरा, मला सोडू नकोस; माझ्या देवा, माझ्यापासून दूर राहू नकोस.

Forsake me not, O Yhwh: O my God, be not far from me.

22 २२ हे प्रभू, माझ्या तारणाऱ्या, माझे साहाय्य करण्यास त्वरा कर.

Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation.
