स्तोत्रसंहिता 36

1 १ प्रमुख गायकासाठी; परमेश्वराचा सेवक दावीद याचे स्तोत्र. दुष्टाचा अपराध त्याच्या हृदयात सांगत असतो की, त्याच्या दृष्टीत देवाचे काही भय नाही.

[Wicked people continually desire to] sin. They consider [IDM] that they do not need to revere God.

2 २ त्याचे अपराध उघडकीस येणार नाही आणि त्याचा द्वेष केला जाणार नाही, अशा भ्रमात तो राहत असतो.

Because they are very proud, they do not think that God will discover their sins and condemn them (OR, they do not think about their sins and hate themselves for it).

3 ३ त्याचे शब्द कपटी आणि पापमय असतात. तो शहाणा होण्यास किंवा सत्कृत्ये करण्यास इच्छीत नाही.

[Everything] that they say is deceitful and full of lies; they no longer do what is good and are no longer wise.

4 ४ तो आपल्या बिछान्यावर पडून असता, तो अपराधाच्या योजना आखतो. तो वाईट मार्गाच्या योजना करतो, तो वाईटाचा धिक्कार करत नाही.

While they are lying on their beds, they plan to do things to harm [others]; they are determined to do things that are not good, and they never refuse [to do what is] evil.

5 ५ हे परमेश्वरा, तुझे खरे प्रेम आकाशापेक्षाही उत्तुंग आहे; तुझी एकनिष्ठता आभाळापर्यंत पोहचली आहे.

Yahweh, your faithful love for us reaches as high as the heavens, you faithfully [do what you have promised]; [it is as though your doing that] extends up to the clouds.

6 ६ परमेश्वरा तुझे न्यायीपण उंच पर्वतासारखे आहे. तुझा न्याय खोल समुद्रासारखा आहे. परमेश्वरा तू मनुष्यास आणि प्राण्यांस दोघांस राखतो.

Your righteous behavior is [as permanent as] the highest mountains [MET], your acting justly [will continue as long as] the deepest oceans [exist]. You take care of people and you take care of animals.

7 ७ देवा! तुझी प्रेमदया किती मौल्यवान आहे. मानवजात तुझ्या पंखांच्या सावलित आश्रय घेते.

God, your faithful love for us is very precious. You protect us like birds protect their baby birds under their wings [MET].

8 ८ ते तुझ्या घरातल्या समृद्धीमुळे तृप्त होतील. तू आपल्या बहुमोल नदीतून त्यांना मनसोक्त पिण्यास देशील.

You provide for us plenty of food from the abundant supply [IDM] that you have; your great blessings for us [flow] like a river.

9 ९ कारण जीवनाचा झरा तुझ्याजवळ आहे. तुझ्या प्रकाशात आम्ही प्रकाश पाहू.

You are the one who causes everything to live; your light is what enables us to see.

10 १० राजे तुला ओळखतात त्यांच्याकरिता तू आपली प्रेमदया विस्तीर्ण कर, तुझी सुरक्षितता सरळांसोबत असू दे.

Continue to faithfully love those who have experienced a relationship with you, and bless those who act righteously/justly.

11 ११ गर्विष्ठांचे पाय माझ्याजवळ येऊ देऊ नकोस. दुष्टाचा हात मला घालवून न देवो.

Do not allow proud people [SYN] to attack me, or allow wicked people to chase me away.

12 १२ तेथे दुष्ट पडले आहेत, ते पाडले गेले आहेत आणि ते कधीही उभे राहू शकणार नाहीत.

Look where evil people have fallen on the ground, defeated; they were thrown down, and they will never rise again.
