स्तोत्रसंहिता 34

1 १ दाविदाचे स्तोत्र; त्याने अबीमलेखापुढे आपली चर्या बदलल्यावर त्यास त्याने हाकलून लावले, आणि तो तेथून निघून गेला तेव्हाचे त्याचे गीत. मी सर्व समयी परमेश्वरास स्तुती देईन. माझ्या मुखात नेहमी त्याची स्तुती असेल.

[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 २ मी परमेश्वराची स्तुती करणार, विनम्र ऐकतील आणि आनंद करतील.

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the meek shall hear thereof, and be glad.

3 ३ तुम्ही माझ्याबरोबर परमेश्वरास स्तुती द्या. आपण एकत्र त्याच्या नावाला उंचावू या.

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

4 ४ मी परमेश्वराकडे मदतीसाठी गेलो आणि त्याने मला उत्तर दिले. आणि त्याने मला माझ्या सर्व भयांवर विजय दिला.

I sought the LORD, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

5 ५ जे त्याच्याकडे पाहतील ते चकाकतील, आणि त्यांची मुखे कधीच लज्जीत होणार नाहीत.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces shall never be confounded.

6 ६ या पीडलेल्या मनुष्याने आरोळी केली, आणि परमेश्वराने त्याचे ऐकले आणि त्यास त्याच्या सर्व संकटातून सोडवले.

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

7 ७ परमेश्वराचे भय धरणाऱ्याभोवती तो छावणी करतो. आणि त्यास वाचवतो.

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

8 ८ परमेश्वर किती चांगला आहे, ह्याचा अनुभव घेऊन पाहा. धन्य तो पुरुष जो त्याच्याठायी आश्रय घेतो.

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

9 ९ जे तुम्ही त्याचे निवडलेले आहा, ते तुम्ही परमेश्वराचे भय धरा. त्याचे भय धरणाऱ्यांस कशाचीच कमतरता भासत नाही.

O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

10 १० तरुण सिंहाना देखील उणे पडते आणि ते भुकेले होतात, परंतु जे परमेश्वरास शोधतात त्यांना कोणत्याही चांगल्या गोष्टींची उणीव पडणार नाही.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.

11 ११ मुलांनो माझे ऐका आणि मी तुम्हास परमेश्वराचे भय कसे धरावे हे शिकवीन.

Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

12 १२ सुख पाहण्यासाठी आयुष्याची इच्छा धरतो आणि दिवसाची आवड धरतो तो मनुष्य कोण आहे?

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth [many] days, that he may see good?

13 १३ तर वाईट बोलण्यापासून आवर, आणि तुझे ओठ खोटे बोलण्यापासून आवर.

Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

14 १४ वाईट कृत्ये करणे सोडून दे आणि चांगली कृत्ये कर. शांतीचा शोध कर आणि तिच्यामागे लाग.

Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

15 १५ परमेश्वराची दृष्टी नितीमानांवर आहे, त्याचे कान त्याच्या आरोळीकडे असतात.

The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous, and his ears are [open] unto their cry.

16 १६ परंतु परमेश्वर वाईट कृत्ये करणाऱ्याविरुध्द आहे. तो त्यांची आठवण पृथ्वीतून नाश करतो.

The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

17 १७ नितीमान आरोळी करतो आणि परमेश्वर ते ऐकतो, आणि तो तुम्हास तुमच्या सर्व संकटातून वाचवेल.

[The righteous] cried, and the LORD heard, and delivered them out of all their troubles.

18 १८ जे हृदयाने तुटलेले आहेत, त्यांच्याजवळ परमेश्वर आहे. आणि तो खिन्न झालेल्या आत्म्यास तारतो.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

19 १९ नितीमानाचे कष्ट पुष्कळ आहेत, परंतू परमेश्वर त्या सर्वांवर त्यांना विजय मिळवून देईल.

Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.

20 २० परमेश्वर त्याच्या सर्व हाडाचे रक्षण करेल. त्यांतले एकही हाड तो मोडू देणार नाही.

He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken.

21 २१ परंतु दुष्टाई दुष्टाला मारुन टाकील, जो नितीमानाचा द्वेष करतो तो दोषी ठरवला जाईल.

Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be condemned.

22 २२ परमेश्वर त्याच्या सेवकाच्या आत्म्यांना तारेल. त्याच्यात आश्रय घेणारा कोणीही दोषी ठरवला जाणार नाही.

The LORD redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be condemned.
