स्तोत्रसंहिता 23

1 १ दाविदाचे स्तोत्र. परमेश्वर माझा मेंढपाळ आहे, मला कशाचीही उणीव भासणार नाही.

Jehovah is my shepherd, I shall not want.

2 २ तो मला हिरव्या कुरणात बसवतो, तो मला संथ पाण्याजवळ नेतो.

He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

3 ३ तो माझा जीव ताजा-तवाना करतो, तो आपल्या नावाकरिता मला योग्य मार्गात चालवतो.

He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 ४ मी जरी अंधकाराने भरलेल्या दरीत चालत असलो तरी, मला कसल्याही संकटाचे भय वाटणार नाही, कारण तू माझ्याबरोबर आहेस, तुझी आकडी आणि काठी माझे सांत्वन करतात.

Yea, tho I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for thou are with me, thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

5 ५ तू माझ्या शत्रूंच्या समक्षतेत मज पुढे मेज तयार करतोस, तू माझ्या डोक्याला तेलाने अभिषिक्त केले आहे. माझा प्याला भरुन वाहत आहे.

Thou prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. Thou have anointed my head with oil. My cup runs over.

6 ६ खचित माझ्या आयुष्याचे सर्व दिवस हित आणि प्रेमदया माझ्या मागे चालतील, आणि परमेश्वराच्या घरात मी अनंतकाळ राहीन.

Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of Jehovah forever.
