स्तोत्रसंहिता 19
1 १ मुख्य गायकासाठी. दाविदाचे स्तोत्र. आकाश देवाचा गौरव जाहीर करते, आणि अंतराळ त्याच्या हातचे कृत्य दाखविते.
To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the expanse sheweth the work of his hands.
Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge.
There is no speech and there are no words, yet their voice is heard.
4 ४ तरी त्यांचे शब्द सर्व पृथ्वीभर जातात. आणि त्यांचे बोलणे जगाच्या शेवटापर्यंत जाते. त्याने सुर्यासाठी आकाशामध्ये मंडप उभारला आहे.
Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their language to the extremity of the world. In them hath he set a tent for the sun,
5 ५ सूर्य नवऱ्या मुलासारखा आपल्या मांडवातून बाहेर येतो. आणि सामर्थ्यवान पुरुषाप्रमाणे तो आपली धाव धावण्यात आनंद करतो.
And he is as a bridegroom going forth from his chamber; he rejoiceth as a strong man to run the race.
6 ६ सूर्य एक क्षितीजापासून उदय होतो, आणि दुसऱ्या क्षितिजापर्यंत आकाशात पार जातो. त्याच्या उष्णतेपासून कोणाचीही सुटका होत नाही.
His going forth is from the end of the heavens, and his circuit unto the ends of it; and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
7 ७ परमेश्वराचे नियमशास्त्र परिपूर्ण आहे, ते जीवाला पुर्नजीवित करणारे आहे. परमेश्वराचे नियम विश्वसनीय आहेत, ज्यांना अनुभव नाही त्यांना शहाणपण देणारे आहे.
The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of Jehovah is sure, making wise the simple;
8 ८ परमेश्वराच्या सूचना खऱ्या आहेत. जे हृदयाला हर्षीत करतात. परमेश्वराच्या कराराचे नियम शुद्ध आहेत, ते डोळे प्रकाशवनारे आहेत.
The precepts of Jehovah are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of Jehovah is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 ९ परमेश्वराची भीती शुद्ध आहे, ती सर्वकाळ टिकणारे आहे, परमेश्वराचे नियम खरे आहेत, आणि सर्व न्यायी आहेत.
The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of Jehovah are truth, they are righteous altogether:
10 १० ते सोन्यापेक्षा ही मौल्यवान आहेत. अती उत्तम सोन्यापेक्षाही ते शुद्ध आहेत. ते मधाच्या पोळ्यातून गळणाऱ्या, मधापेक्षाही गोड आहेत.
They are more precious than gold, yea, than much fine gold; and sweeter than honey and the dropping of the honeycomb.
Moreover, by them is thy servant enlightened; in keeping them there is great reward.
Who understandeth [his] errors? Purify me from secret [faults].
13 १३ तुझ्या सेवकाला जाणूनबुजून केलेल्या पापापासून राख; ती माझ्यावर राज्य न गाजवोत. तेव्हा मी परिपूर्ण होईल, आणि माझ्या पुष्कळ अपराधांपासून निर्दोष राहीन.
Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous [sins]; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be perfect, and I shall be innocent from great transgression.
14 १४ माझ्या तोंडचे शब्द आणि माझ्या हृदयाचे विचार तुझ्यासमोर मान्य असोत. परमेश्वरा, तू माझा खडक आहेस, मला तारणारा तूच आहेस.
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Jehovah, my rock, and my redeemer.
