स्तोत्रसंहिता 124

1 १ दाविदाचे स्तोत्र आता इस्राएलाने म्हणावे, जर परमेश्वर आमच्या बाजूला नसता,

If it had not been Adonai who was on our side, let Israel [God prevails] now say,

2 २ जेव्हा लोक आमच्याविरूद्ध उठले, तेव्हा जर परमेश्वर आमच्या बाजूला नसता तर आमच्या बाजूला कोण असते,

if it had not been Adonai who was on our side, when men rose up against us;

3 ३ जेव्हा त्यांचा क्रोध आमच्याविरूद्ध पेटला, त्यावेळी त्यांनी आम्हास जिवंत गिळून टाकले असते.

then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their wrath was kindled against us;

4 ४ जलांनी आम्हास धुवून दूर नेले असते; प्रवाहाने आम्हास पूर्ण झाकले असते.

then the waters would have overwhelmed us, the stream would have gone over our soul;

5 ५ मग खवळलेल्या जलांनी आम्हास बुडवले असते.

then the proud waters would have gone over our soul.

6 ६ परमेश्वराचा धन्यवाद होवो, त्याने आम्हास त्याच्या दातांनी फाडू दिले नाही.

Blessed be Adonai, who has not given us as a prey to their teeth.

7 ७ पक्ष्याप्रमाणे पारध्यांच्या पाशातून आमचा जीव मुक्त झाला आहे; पाश तुटून आम्ही मुक्त झालो आहोत.

Our soul has escaped like a bird out of the fowler’s snare. The snare is broken, and we have escaped.

8 ८ पृथ्वी आणि स्वर्ग निर्माण करणारा परमेश्वर त्याच्या नावामुळे आम्हास मदत मिळते.

Our help is in Adonai’s name, who made heaven and earth.
