स्तोत्रसंहिता 124

1 १ दाविदाचे स्तोत्र आता इस्राएलाने म्हणावे, जर परमेश्वर आमच्या बाजूला नसता,

A Song of degrees of David. If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, now may Israel say;

2 २ जेव्हा लोक आमच्याविरूद्ध उठले, तेव्हा जर परमेश्वर आमच्या बाजूला नसता तर आमच्या बाजूला कोण असते,

If [it had not been] the LORD who was on our side, when men rose up against us:

3 ३ जेव्हा त्यांचा क्रोध आमच्याविरूद्ध पेटला, त्यावेळी त्यांनी आम्हास जिवंत गिळून टाकले असते.

Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us:

4 ४ जलांनी आम्हास धुवून दूर नेले असते; प्रवाहाने आम्हास पूर्ण झाकले असते.

Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul:

5 ५ मग खवळलेल्या जलांनी आम्हास बुडवले असते.

Then the proud waters had gone over our soul.

6 ६ परमेश्वराचा धन्यवाद होवो, त्याने आम्हास त्याच्या दातांनी फाडू दिले नाही.

Blessed [be] the LORD, who hath not given us [as] a prey to their teeth.

7 ७ पक्ष्याप्रमाणे पारध्यांच्या पाशातून आमचा जीव मुक्त झाला आहे; पाश तुटून आम्ही मुक्त झालो आहोत.

Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

8 ८ पृथ्वी आणि स्वर्ग निर्माण करणारा परमेश्वर त्याच्या नावामुळे आम्हास मदत मिळते.

Our help [is] in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
