स्तोत्रसंहिता 10

1 १ हे परमेश्वरा, तू दूर का उभा आहेस? संकटकाळी तू स्वत: ला का लपवतोस?

Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

2 २ कारण दुष्ट आपल्या गर्विष्ठपणामुळे पीडलेल्यांचा पाठलाग करतो, परंतु कृपया असे होवो की दुष्टांनी जे संकल्प योजिले आहेत, त्यामध्ये ते सापडो.

Through the haughtiness of the wicked the poor are in distress; They are caught in the wiles which are contrived for them.

3 ३ कारण दुष्ट आपल्या हृदयाच्या इच्छेचा अभिमान बाळगतो; दुष्ट लोभी व्यक्तीस धन्य म्हणतो व परमेश्वरास तुच्छ मानतो आणि नाकारतो.

The wicked boasteth of his heart's desire; The rapacious renounceth and contemneth Jehovah.

4 ४ दुष्ट मनुष्य गर्विष्ठ असतो, ह्यास्तव तो देवाला शोधत नाही. कारण देवाबद्दल त्यास काही काळजी नाही, म्हणून तो देवाचा विचार करत नाही.

The wicked [[saith]] in his haughtiness, “He careth not!” All his thoughts are, “There is no God.”

5 ५ त्याचे मार्ग उन्नतीचे असतात, परंतु तुझे धार्मिक नियम त्याच्या आवाक्याबाहेरचे आहेत, तो आपल्या सर्व शत्रूंवर फुत्कारतो.

His course is always prosperous; Far in the heights are thy judgments from him; As for all his enemies, he puffeth at them.

6 ६ तो आपल्या हृदयात असे म्हणतो, मी कधीच चुकणार नाही; संपूर्ण पिढ्यांत माझ्यावर आपत्ती येणारच नाही.

He saith in his heart, “I shall never fall; I shall never be in adversity.”

7 ७ त्याचे मुख शाप, कपट, जुलूम, हानिकारक शब्दांनी भरलेले आहेत. त्यांची जीभ जखमी व नाश करते.

His mouth is full of perjury, deceit, and oppression; Mischief and injustice are upon his tongue.

8 ८ तो गावाजवळ टपून बसतो, गुप्त ठिकाणात तो निर्दोष्याला ठार मारतो; त्याचे डोळे लाचारावर टपून असतात.

He sitteth in the lurking-places of the villages; In secret places doth he murder the innocent; His eyes are secretly fixed upon the poor.

9 ९ जसा सिंह गर्द झाडात लपतो, तसाच तो दडून बसतो. तो दीनाला धरायला टपून बसतो. तो दीनाला आपल्या जाळ्यात ओढून धरून घेतो.

He secretly lieth in wait, like a lion in a thicket; He lieth in wait to seize upon the helpless; He catcheth the poor, drawing him into his net.

10 १० त्याचे बळी पडणारे ठेचले आणि झोडले जातात. ते त्याच्या बळकट जाळ्यात पडतात.

He croucheth, and lowereth himself, And the wretched fall into his paws.

11 ११ तो आपल्या हृदयात असे बोलतो, देव आपल्याला विसरला आहे, त्याने आपले मुख झाकले आहे, तो पाहण्याचा त्रास करून घेणार नाही.

He saith in his heart, “God doth forget; He hideth his face; he doth never see it.”

12 १२ हे परमेश्वरा, देवा, ऊठ! तू आपला हात न्यायासाठी चालव. गरीबांना विसरु नकोस.

Arise, O LORD! O God, lift up thine hand: Forget not the distressed!

13 १३ दुष्ट देवाला तुच्छ का मानतो? तो मला जबाबदार धरणार नाही, असे तो मनात का म्हणतो?

Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God, And say in his heart, “He careth not for it”?

14 १४ तू ते पाहिले आहे, कारण तू आपल्या हाती ते घ्यावे म्हणून तू उपद्रव आणि दु: ख पाहतो, लाचार तुला आपणास सोपवून देतो, तू अनाथांचा वाचवणारा आहे.

Thou dost see it; yea, thou beholdest malice and oppression, And markest it upon thy hand! The poor committeth himself to thee; Thou art the helper of the fatherless.

15 १५ दुष्ट आणि वाईट मनुष्याचा भुज तोडून टाक, त्याच्या वाईट कृत्यांबद्दल त्यास जबाबदार धर, ज्याने असा विचार केला होता की तू ते शोधणार नाही.

Break thou the arm of the unjust and wicked man; Seek out his wickedness, till thou canst find none!

16 १६ परमेश्वर सदासर्वकाळ राजा आहे, राष्ट्रे त्याच्या भूमीतून बाहेर घालवली आहेत.

Jehovah is king for ever and ever; The gentiles shall perish out of his land.

17 १७ हे परमेश्वरा, पीडितांचे तू ऐकले आहे; तू त्यांचे हृदय सामर्थ्यवान केले आहे, तू त्यांची प्रार्थना ऐकली आहे.

Thou, O LORD! wilt hear the desires of the distressed; Thou wilt strengthen their hearts; Thou wilt lend a listening ear!

18 १८ पोरके आणि पीडलेले यांचे तू रक्षण केले आहे, म्हणजे मनुष्य पृथ्वीवर आणखी भयाचे कारण होऊ नये.

Thou wilt maintain the cause of the fatherless and the oppressed, That henceforth none may be driven from the land.
