नीतिसूत्रे 15

1 १ शांतीच्या उत्तराने राग निघून जातो, पण कठोर शब्दामुळे राग उत्तेजित होतो.

An answer soft it turns away rage and a word of hurt it raises anger.

2 २ सुज्ञाची जिव्हा सुज्ञानाची प्रशंसा करते, पण मूर्खाचे मुख मूर्खपणा ओतून टाकते.

[the] tongue of Wise [people] it makes good knowledge and [the] mouth of fools it pours forth foolishness.

3 ३ परमेश्वराचे नेत्र सर्वत्र असतात, ते चांगले आणि वाईट पाहत असतात.

[are] in Every place [the] eyes of Yahweh watching evil [people] and good [people].

4 ४ आरोग्यदायी जीभ जीवनाचा वृक्ष आहे, परंतु कपटी जीभ आत्म्याला चिरडणारी आहे.

Healing of tongue [is] a tree of life and perverseness with it [is] brokenness in spirit.

5 ५ मूर्ख आपल्या वडिलांचे शिक्षण तुच्छ लेखतो, पण जो विवेकी आहे तो चुकीतून सुधारतो.

A fool he spurns [the] discipline of father his and [one who] keeps correction he is prudent.

6 ६ नीतिमानाच्या घरात मोठे खजिने आहेत, पण दुष्टाची कमाई त्यास त्रास देते.

[the] house of A righteous [person] wealth great and with [the] income of a wicked [person] trouble.

7 ७ ज्ञानाचे ओठ विद्येविषयीचा प्रसार करते, पण मूर्खाचे हृदय असे नाही.

[the] lips of Wise [people] they scatter knowledge and [the] heart of fools [is] not right.

8 ८ दुष्टाच्या अर्पणाचा परमेश्वर द्वेष करतो, पण सरळांची प्रार्थना त्याचा आनंद आहे.

[the] sacrifice of Wicked [people] [is] [the] abomination of Yahweh and [is the] prayer of upright [people] delight his.

9 ९ दुष्टांच्या मार्गाचा परमेश्वरास वीट आहे, पण जे नीतीचा पाठलाग करतात त्यांच्यावर तो प्रीती करतो.

[is] [the] abomination of Yahweh [the] way of a wicked [person] and [one who] pursues righteousness he loves.

10 १० जो कोणी मार्ग सोडतो त्याच्यासाठी कठोर शासन तयार आहे, आणि जो कोणी सुधारणेचा तिरस्कार करतो तो मरेल.

Discipline bad [is] for [one who] forsakes [the] path [one who] hates correction he will die.

11 ११ अधोलोक आणि विनाशस्थान परमेश्वरापुढे उघडे आहे; तर मग मनुष्यजातीच्या वंशाची अंतःकरणे त्याच्या दृष्टीपुढे किती जास्त असली पाहिजेत? (Sheol h7585)

Sheol and Abaddon [are] before Yahweh indeed? for [the] hearts of [the] children of humankind. (Sheol h7585)

12 १२ निंदकाला शिक्षेची चीड येते; तो सुज्ञाकडे जात नाही.

Not he loves a mocker reproof to him to wise [people] not he goes.

13 १३ आनंदी हृदय मुख आनंदित करते, पण हृदयाच्या दुःखाने आत्मा चिरडला जातो.

A heart joyful it makes good a face and by sorrow of heart a spirit [is] stricken.

14 १४ बुद्धिमानाचे हृदय ज्ञान शोधते, पण मूर्खाचे मुख मूर्खताच खाते.

A heart discerning it seeks knowledge (and [the] mouth of *Q(K)*) fools it feeds on foolishness.

15 १५ जुलूम करणाऱ्याचे सर्व दिवस दुःखकारक असतात, पण आनंदी हृदयाला अंत नसलेली मेजवाणी आहे.

All [the] days of [the] afflicted [are] displeasing and a [person] good of heart a feast continually.

16 १६ पुष्कळ धन असून त्याबरोबर गोंधळ असण्यापेक्षा ते थोडके असून परमेश्वराचे भय बाळगणे चांगले आहे.

[is] good A little with [the] fear of Yahweh more than treasure great and turmoil with it.

17 १७ पोसलेल्या वासराच्या तिरस्कारयुक्त मेजवाणीपेक्षा, जेथे प्रेम आहे तेथे भाजीभाकरी चांगली आहे.

[is] good A portion of vegetables and love [is] there more than an ox fattened and hatred [is] with it.

18 १८ रागीट मनुष्य भांडण उपस्थित करतो, पण जो रागास मंद आहे तो मनुष्य भांडण शांत करतो.

A person of rage he stirs up strife and a [person] long of anger he makes quiet a dispute.

19 १९ आळशाची वाट काटेरी कुंपणासारखी आहे, पण सरळांची वाट राजमार्ग बनते.

[the] way of A sluggard [is] like a hedge of thorn[s] and [the] path of upright [people] [is] cast up.

20 २० शहाणा मुलगा आपल्या वडिलांना आनंदीत करतो. पण मूर्ख मनुष्य आपल्या आईला तुच्छ मानतो.

A son wise he makes glad a father and a fool a person [is] despising mother his.

21 २१ बुद्धिहीन मनुष्य मूर्खपणात आनंद मानतो. पण जो समंजस आहे तो सरळ मार्गाने जातो.

Foolishness [is] a joy to [one] lacking of heart and a person of understanding (he makes straight *L(abh)*) to walk.

22 २२ जेथे सल्ला नसतो तेथे योजना बिघडतात, पण पुष्कळ सल्ला देणाऱ्यांबरोबर ते यशस्वी होतात.

They go wrong plans when there not [is] counsel and with multitude of counselors it is established.

23 २३ मनुष्यास आपल्या तोंडच्या समर्पक उत्तराने आनंद होतो; आणि योग्यसमयीचे शब्द किती चांगले आहे!

Joy [belongs] to person in [the] answer of mouth his and [is] a word at appropriate time its how! good.

24 २४ सुज्ञाने खाली अधोलोकास जाऊ नये म्हणून त्याचा जीवनमार्ग वर जातो. (Sheol h7585)

[the] path of Life [is] upwards for [one who] acts prudently so as to turn aside from Sheol beneath. (Sheol h7585)

25 २५ परमेश्वर गर्विष्ठांची मालमत्ता फाडून काढेल, परंतु तो विधवेच्या मालमत्तेचे रक्षण करतो.

[the] house of Proud [people] he tears down - Yahweh and he will establish [the] territory of a widow.

26 २६ परमेश्वर पाप्यांच्या विचारांचा द्वेष करतो, पण दयेची वचने त्याच्या दुष्टीने शुद्ध आहेत.

[are] [the] abomination of Yahweh [the] plans of an evil [person] and [are] clean words of kindness.

27 २७ चोरी करणारा आपल्या कुटुंबावर संकटे आणतो, पण जो लाचेचा तिटकारा करतो तो जगेल.

[is] troubling Own house his [one who] gains unjustly unjust gain and [one who] hates gifts he will live.

28 २८ नीतिमान उत्तर देण्याआधी विचार करतो, पण दुष्टाचे मुख सर्व वाईट ओतून बाहेर टाकते.

[the] heart of A righteous [person] it considers to answer and [the] mouth of wicked [people] it pours forth evil things.

29 २९ परमेश्वर दुष्टांपासून खूप दूर आहे, पण तो नीतिमानांच्या प्रार्थना नेहमी ऐकतो.

[is] far Yahweh from wicked [people] and [the] prayer of righteous [people] he hears.

30 ३० नेत्राचा प्रकाश अंतःकरणाला आनंद देतो, आणि चांगली बातमी शरीराला निरोगी आहे.

Light of eyes it makes glad a heart a report good it fattens [the] bone[s].

31 ३१ जर कोणीतरी तुम्हास जीवन कसे जगावे म्हणून सुधारतो त्याकडे लक्ष द्या, तुम्ही ज्ञानामध्ये रहाल.

An ear [which] hears correction of life in [the] midst of wise [people] it will remain.

32 ३२ जो कोणी शिक्षण नाकारतो तो आपल्या स्वत: लाच तुच्छ लेखतो, परंतु जो कोणी शासन ऐकून घेतो तो ज्ञान मिळवतो.

[one who] ignores Discipline [is] rejecting self his and [one who] heeds correction [is] acquiring heart.

33 ३३ परमेश्वराचे भय हे सुज्ञतेचे शिक्षण देते, आणि आदरापूर्वी नम्रता येते.

[the] fear of Yahweh [is the] correction of wisdom and [is] before honor humility.
