विलापगीत 3

1 १ तो पूरूष मीच आहे, ज्याने परमेश्वराच्या क्रोधाच्या काठीकडून संकटे पाहिली.

I am the man who has experienced suffering under the rod of God's anger.

2 २ त्याने मला दूर करून प्रकाशाकडे न जाता अंधारात चालण्यास भाग पाडले.

He has driven me away, forcing me to walk in darkness instead of the light.

3 ३ खचितच तो माझ्याविरूद्ध झाला आहे; पूर्ण दिवस त्याने आपला हात माझ्यावर उगारला आहे.

In fact he hits me again and again all day long.

4 ४ त्यांने माझा देह व त्वचा जीर्ण केली आहे आणि माझी हाडे मोडली आहेत

He has worn me out; he has broken me in pieces.

5 ५ त्याने माझ्याविरूद्ध विष व दुःखाचे बांधकाम करून मला वेढले आहे.

He has besieged me, surrounding me with bitterness and misery.

6 ६ फार पूर्वी मृत्यू पावलेल्या मनुष्याप्रमाणे त्याने मला काळोखात रहावयास लावले आहे.

He has forced me to live in darkness like those long dead.

7 ७ त्याने माझ्याभोवती तटबंदी केल्याने त्यातून माझी सुटका होऊ शकत नाही. त्याने माझे बंध अधिक मजबूत केले आहेत.

He has built a wall around me so I can't escape; he has bound me with heavy chains.

8 ८ मी मदतीसाठी आक्रोशाने धावा केला तेव्हाही तो माझ्या प्रार्थनांचा धिक्कार करतो.

Even when I keep on crying out for help, he refuses to listen to my prayer.

9 ९ त्याने माझा रस्ता दगडी चिऱ्यांच्या भिंतीने अडवला आहे. त्याने माझा मार्ग वाकडा केला आहे.

He has put stone blocks in my way and sends me down crooked paths.

10 १० तो माझ्यावर हल्ला करण्यासाठी टपून बसलेल्या अस्वलासारखा आणि लपून बसलेल्या सिंहासारखा झाला आहे.

He is a bear that lies in wait for me, a lion in hiding ready to attack,

11 ११ त्याने माझ्या मार्गावरून मला बाजूला करून, फाडून माझे तुकडे तुकडे केले आहेत आणि मला उदास केले आहे.

He dragged me from my path and ripped me to pieces, leaving me helpless.

12 १२ त्याने आपला धनुष्य वाकवला आहे आणि मला त्याच्या बाणांचे लक्ष्य बनविले आहे.

He loaded his bow with an arrow and used me as his target,

13 १३ त्याने आपले बाण माझ्या अंतःकरणात घुसवले आहेत.

He shot me in my kidneys with his arrows.

14 १४ माझ्या स्वजनामध्येच मी चेष्टेचा विषय; प्रतिदिवशी त्यांचे हास्यास्पद गीत झालो आहे.

Now everyone laughs at me, singing songs that mock me all day long.

15 १५ त्याने मला कडूपणाने भरले आहे, त्याने मला कडू दवणा प्यायला भाग पाडले आहे.

He has filled me with bitterness; he has filled me up with bitter wormwood.

16 १६ त्याने खड्यांनी माझे दात तोडले आहेत. त्याने मला राखेत लोटले आहे.

He has broken my teeth with grit; he has trampled me in the dust.

17 १७ माझ्या जीवनातील शांतीच तू काढून टाकली आहेस; कोणत्याही आनंदाचे मला स्मरण होत नाही.

Peace has been torn away from me; I've forgotten all that's good in life.

18 १८ मी म्हणालो, “माझे बल आणि परमेश्वरावरची माझी आशा नष्ट झाली आहे.”

That's why I say, “My expectation of a long life is gone, along with all that I hoped for from Lord.

19 १९ माझे दुःख, कष्ट, कडू दवणा आणि विष ह्याचे स्मरण कर.

Don't forget everything I've suffered in my wandering, as bitters as wormwood and poison.

20 २० मला माझ्या सर्व त्रासांची आठवण आहे. म्हणूनच मी माझ्यामध्ये नमलो आहे.

I certainly haven't forgotten. I remember it all too well, so I sink into depression.

21 २१ पण हे मी माझ्या मनात विचार करतो म्हणून मला आशा वाटते.

But I still hope when I think about this:

22 २२ ही परमेश्वराची प्रेमदया आहे की आम्ही नाश नाही झालो. त्याची करुणा कधी न संपणारी आहे.

It's because of the Lord's trustworthy love that our lives are not finished, for through his merciful actions he never lets us down.

23 २३ ती प्रत्येक दिवशी नवीन होते; तुझे विश्वासूपण महान आहे.

He renews them every morning. How wonderfully trustworthy you are, Lord!

24 २४ माझा जीव म्हणतो, “परमेश्वर माझा वतनभाग आहे. म्हणूनच मी त्याच्यावर आशा ठेवीन.”

The Lord is all I need,” I tell myself, “so I will put my hope in him.”

25 २५ जे परमेश्वराची वाट पाहतात व जो जीव त्यास शोधतो, त्याला परमेश्वर चांगला आहे.

The Lord is good to those who trust in him, to anyone who seeks to follow him.

26 २६ परमेश्वरापासून येणाऱ्या तारणाची मुकाट्याने वाट पाहणे हे चांगले आहे.

It is good to wait quietly for the Lord's salvation.

27 २७ पुरूषाने आपल्या तरूणपणांत जू वाहावे हे त्यास फार चांगले आहे.

It is good for people to learn to patiently bear discipline while they're still young.

28 २८ ते परमेश्वराने त्याच्यावर ठेवले आहे म्हणून त्याने एकांती बसावे व स्वस्थ रहावे.

They should sit by themselves in silence, because it's God who has disciplined them.

29 २९ त्याने आपले मुख धुळीत घातल्यास, कदाचित त्यास आशा प्राप्त होईल.

They should bow low with their faces to the ground, for there may still be hope.

30 ३० एखाद्यास मारण्यासाठी खुशाल आपला गाल पुढे करून त्यास पूर्ण खजील करावे;

They should turn a cheek to someone who wants to slap them; they should take the insults of others.

31 ३१ कारण परमेश्वर त्यांचा कायमचा त्याग करणार नाही.

For the Lord won't abandon us forever.

32 ३२ जरी त्याने दुःख दिले तरी तो आपल्या दयेच्या विपुलतेनूसार करुणा करील.

Even though he may bring sadness, he shows us mercy because his trustworthy love is so great.

33 ३३ कारण तो आपल्या खुशीने कोणाचा छळ करत नाही आणि मनूष्य संतानास दुःख देत नाही.

For he doesn't willingly hurt people, or cause them grief.

34 ३४ पृथ्वीवरील सर्व बंदिवानांना पायाखाली तुडविणे,

Whether it's mistreating all the prisoners of the land,

35 ३५ परात्पराच्या समोर मनुष्याचे हक्क बुडवणे,

Or denying someone their rights as the Most High watches,

36 ३६ एका व्यक्तीने दुसऱ्या व्यक्तीला फसविणे, या अशा गोष्टी परमेश्वराच्या दृष्टी आड आहेत काय?

Or cheating someone in their legal case—these things the Lord doesn't approve of.

37 ३७ परमेश्वराने आज्ञा केली नसता ज्याने काही बोलावे आणि ते घडून यावे असा कोणी आहे का?

Who spoke and it came into existence? Wasn't it the Lord who commanded it?

38 ३८ इष्ट व अनिष्ट ही सर्वश्रेष्ठ देवाच्या मुखातून येत नाहीत काय?

When the Most High speaks it can be a disaster or a blessing.

39 ३९ कोणत्याही जिवंत मनुष्याने व पुरूषाने आपल्या पापांच्या शिक्षेबद्दल कुरकुर का करावी?

Why should any human being complain about the results of their sins?

40 ४० चला तर आपण आपले मार्ग शोधू आणि तपासू आणि परमेश्वराकडे परत फिरू.

We should look at ourselves, examine what we're doing, and return to the Lord.

41 ४१ आपण आपले हृदय व आपले हात स्वर्गातील देवाकडे उंचावूया.

Let's not just hold up our hands to God in heaven, but our minds as well, saying,

42 ४२ आम्ही पाप केले आहे, फितूरी केली आहे. म्हणूनच तू आम्हास क्षमा केली नाहीस.

“We are the ones who sinned; we are the ones who rebelled; and you haven't forgiven us!”

43 ४३ तू आपणाला क्रोधाने झाकून घेऊन आमचा पाठलाग केला आणि दया न दाखविता आम्हास ठार केलेस.

You have wrapped yourself in anger and chased us down, killing without mercy. You have killed without pity.

44 ४४ कोणतीही प्रार्थना तुझ्यापर्यंत पोहोचू नये म्हणून तू स्वतःला अभ्रांनी वेढले आहेस.

You have wrapped yourself with a cloud that no prayer can penetrate.

45 ४५ लोकांमध्ये तू आम्हास कचरा व धूळ ह्यासारखे केलेस.

You have made us waste and refuse to the nations around.

46 ४६ आमच्या सर्व शत्रूंनी आम्हाविरूद्ध आपले तोंड वासले आहे.

All our enemies open their mouths to criticize us.

47 ४७ भय व खाच, नाश व विध्वंस ही आम्हावर आली आहे.

We're terrified and trapped, devastated and destroyed.

48 ४८ माझ्या लोकांच्या कन्येचा नाश झाला आहे, म्हणून माझ्या डोळयांना धारा लागल्या आहेत.

Tears stream from my eyes over the death of my people.

49 ४९ माझे डोळे गळत आहेत व थांबत नाही;

My eyes overflow with tears all the time. They won't stop

50 ५० परमेश्वर स्वर्गातून आपली नजर खाली लावून पाहीपर्यंत त्याचा अंत होणार नाही.

Until the Lord looks down from heaven and sees what's going on.

51 ५१ माझ्या नगरातील सर्व कन्यांची स्थिती पाहून माझे डोळे मला दुःखी करतात.

What I've seen torments me because of what's happened to all the women in my city.

52 ५२ निष्कारण शत्रू बनलेल्या लोकांनी पाखरासारखा माझा पाठलाग केला आहे.

For no reason my enemies trapped me like a bird.

53 ५३ गर्तेत ढकलून त्यांनी माझ्या जिवाचा अंत केला आहे. आणि माझ्यावर दगड लोटला आहे.

They tried to kill me by tossing me into a pit and throwing stones at me.

54 ५४ माझ्या डोक्यावरून पाणी गेले. मी मनाशी म्हणालो, “आता माझा अंत होत आहे.”

Water flooded over my head, and I thought I was going to die.

55 ५५ परमेश्वरा मी खोल खाचेतून तुझ्या नावाचा धावा केला.

I called out for you, Lord, from deep inside the pit.

56 ५६ तू माझा आवाज ऐकलास. माझे उसासे व माझ्या आरोळीला आपला कान बंद करू नको.

You heard me when I prayed, “Please don't ignore my cry for help.”

57 ५७ मी तुझा धावा केला त्या दिवशी तू जवळ आलास व म्हणालास, “भिऊ नकोस.”

You came to me when I called you, and you told me, “Don't be afraid!”

58 ५८ परमेश्वरा, माझ्या जीवनातील वादविवादाकरिता तू मध्यस्थी केलीस, तू खंडणी भरून माझा जीव सोडवलास.

You have taken my case and defended me; you have saved my life!

59 ५९ परमेश्वरा, माझ्याविषयी जो अन्याय झाला आहे, तो तू बघितला आहेस. तू मला न्याय दे.

Lord, you have seen the injustices done to me; please vindicate me!

60 ६० माझ्याविरूद्ध रचलेले सुडाचे सर्व कृत्ये; आणि त्यांच्या योजना तू पाहिल्यास.

You have observed how vengeful they are and how often they've plotted against me.

61 ६१ त्यांनी केलेला माझा उपहास आणि माझ्याविरूध्द आखलेले बेत. परमेश्वरा, तू ऐकले आहेस.

Lord, you have heard how they've insulted me, and what they've plotted against me,

62 ६२ माझ्यावर उठलेले ओठ आणि सारा दिवस त्यांनी माझ्याविरुध्द केलेली योजना तू ऐकली आहे.

How my enemies talk against me and complain about me all the time!

63 ६३ परमेश्वरा, त्यांचे बसने व उठने तू पाहा, मी त्यांच्या थट्टेचा विषय झालो आहे.

Just look! Whether they're sitting down and or standing up, they go on making fun of me in their songs.

64 ६४ परमेश्वरा, त्यांना योग्य ते फळ दे. त्यांच्या कार्मांची परतफेड कर.

Pay them back as they deserve, Lord, for all they've done!

65 ६५ तू त्यांना हृदयाची कठोरता देशील, तुझा शाप त्यांना देशील.

Give them a covering for their minds! May your curse be on them!

66 ६६ क्रोधाने तू त्यांचा पाठलाग करशील व परमेश्वराच्या आकाशाखाली तू त्यांचा विध्वंस करशील.

Chase them down in your anger, Lord, and get rid of them from the earth!
