योहान 14
Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.
2 २ माझ्या पित्याच्या घरात राहण्याच्या जागा पुष्कळ आहेत. नसत्या तर मी तुम्हास तसे सांगितले असते; मी तुमच्यासाठी जागा तयार करावयास जातो
In my Father’s home there are many dwellings. If it had not been so, I should have told you, for I am going to prepare a place for you.
3 ३ आणि, मी जाऊन तुम्हासाठी जागा तयार केली म्हणजे पुन्हा येऊन तुम्हास आपल्याजवळ घेईन; यासाठी जेथे मी आहे तेथे तुम्हीही असावे.
And, since I go and prepare a place for you, I will return and take you to be with me, so that you may be where I am;
and you know the way to the place where I am going.”
5 ५ थोमा त्यास म्हणाला, “प्रभूजी, आपण कोठे जाता हे आम्हास माहीत नाही; मग मार्ग आम्हास कसा माहीत असणार?”
“We do not know where you are going, Master,” said Thomas. “So how can we know the way?”
6 ६ येशूने त्यास म्हटले, “मार्ग, सत्य आणि जीवन मीच आहे. माझ्याद्वारे आल्याशिवाय पित्याकडे कोणी येत नाही.
Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one ever comes to the Father except through me.
7 ७ मी कोण आहे हे तुम्ही ओळखले असते तर माझ्या पित्यालाही ओळखले असते. आतापासून पुढे तुम्ही त्यास ओळखता आणि तुम्ही त्यास पाहिलेही आहे.”
If you had recognized me, you would have known my Father also; for the future you will recognize him, indeed you have already seen him.”
“Master, show us the Father,” said Philip, “and we will be satisfied.”
9 ९ येशूने त्यास म्हटलेः “फिलिप्पा, मी इतका काळ तुम्हाजवळ असूनही तू मला ओळखीत नाहीस काय? ज्याने मला पाहिले आहे त्याने पित्याला पाहिले आहे; तर ‘आम्हास पिता दाखवा’ असे तू कसे म्हणतोस?
“Have I been all this time among you,” said Jesus, “and yet you, Philip, have not recognized me? The person who has seen me has seen the Father, how can you say, then, ‘Show us the Father’?
10 १० मी पित्यामध्ये व पिता माझ्यामध्ये आहे, असा विश्वास तू धरीत नाहीस काय? ज्या गोष्टी मी तुम्हास सांगतो, त्या मी आपल्या मनाच्या सांगत नाही; माझ्यामध्ये राहणारा पिता स्वतःची कामे करतो.
Don’t you believe that I am in union with the Father, and the Father with me? In giving you my teaching I am not speaking on my own authority; but the Father himself, always in union with me, does his own work.
11 ११ मी पित्यामध्ये व पिता माझ्यामध्ये आहे यावर तुम्ही विश्वास ठेवा; नाही तर माझ्या कृत्यांमुळे तरी माझ्यावर विश्वास ठेवा.
Believe me,” he said to them all, “when I say that I am in union with the Father and the Father with me, or else believe me because of the work itself.
12 १२ मी तुम्हास खरे खरे सांगतो, मी जी कामे करतो ती माझ्यावर विश्वास ठेवणाराही करील आणि त्यापेक्षा अधिक मोठी करील, कारण मी पित्याकडे जातो.
In truth I tell you, the person who believes in me will themselves do the work that I am doing; and they will do greater work still, because I am going to the Father.
Whatever you ask, in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be honored in the Son.
If you ask anything, in my name, I will do it.
If you love me, you will lay my commands to heart,
16 १६ मी पित्याला विनंती करीन, मग तो तुम्हास दुसरा कैवारी म्हणजे सत्याचा आत्मा देईल. अशासाठी की, त्याने तुम्हाबरोबर सर्वकाळ रहावे. (aiōn g165)
and I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper, to be with you always – the Spirit of truth. (aiōn g165)
17 १७ तो सत्याचा आत्मा आहे, जग त्यास ग्रहण करू शकत नाही, कारण ते त्यास पाहत नाही अथवा त्यास ओळखीत नाही; तुम्ही त्यास ओळखता, कारण तो तुम्हाबरोबर राहतो आणि तो तुम्हामध्ये वस्ती करील.
The world cannot receive this Spirit, because it does not see him or recognize him, but you recognize him, because he is always with you, and is within you.
I will not leave you bereaved; I will come to you.
19 १९ आता थोडाच वेळ आहे, मग जग मला आणखी पाहणार नाही. पण तुम्ही मला पाहाल; मी जिवंत आहे, म्हणून तुम्हीही जिवंत रहाल.
In a little while the world will see me no more, but you will still see me; because I am living, you will be living also.
20 २० त्यादिवशी तुम्हास समजेल की, मी आपल्या पित्यामध्ये आहे व तुम्ही माझ्यामध्ये व मी तुम्हामध्ये आहे.
At that time you will recognize that I am in union with the Father, and you with me, and I with you.
21 २१ ज्याच्याजवळ माझ्या आज्ञा आहेत आणि जो त्या पाळतो तोच माझ्यावर प्रीती करणारा आहे; आणि जो माझ्यावर प्रीती करतो त्याच्यावर माझा पिता प्रीती करील; मीही त्याच्यावर प्रीती करीन व स्वतः त्यास प्रकट होईन.”
It is the person who has my commands and lays them to heart who loves me; and the person who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them, and will reveal myself to them.”
22 २२ यहूदा (इस्कार्योत नव्हे) त्यास म्हणाला, “प्रभूजी, असे काय झाले की, आपण स्वतः आम्हास प्रकट व्हाल आणि जगाला प्रकट होणार नाही?”
“What has happened, Master,” said Judas (not Judas Iscariot), “that you are going to reveal yourself to us, and not to the world?”
23 २३ येशूने त्यास उत्तर दिले, “ज्याची माझ्यावर प्रीती असेल तो माझे वचन पाळील; माझा पिता त्याच्यावर प्रीती करील आणि आम्ही त्याच्याकडे येऊन, त्याच्याबरोबर वस्ती करून राहू.
“Whoever loves me,” Jesus answered, “will lay my message to heart; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.
24 २४ जो माझ्यावर प्रीती करीत नाही तो माझी वचने पाळीत नाही आणि तुम्ही जे वचन ऐकता ते माझे नाही तर ज्याने मला पाठवले त्या पित्याचे आहे.
The person who does not love me will not lay my message to heart; and the message to which you are listening is not my own, but comes from the Father who sent me.
I have told you all this while still with you,
26 २६ तरी ज्याला पिता माझ्या नावाने पाठवील तो कैवारी म्हणजे पवित्र आत्मा तुम्हास सर्वकाही शिकवील आणि ज्या गोष्टी मी तुम्हास सांगितल्या त्या सर्वाची तुम्हास आठवण करून देईल.
but the helper – the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name – will teach you all things, and will recall to your minds all that I have said to you.
27 २७ मी तुम्हास शांती देऊन ठेवितो; मी आपली शांती तुम्हास देतो जसे जग देते तसे मी तुम्हास देत नाही; तुमचे अंतःकरण अस्वस्थ किंवा भयभीत होऊ नये,
Peace be with you! My own peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, or dismayed.
28 २८ ‘मी जातो आणि तुम्हाकडे परत येईन.’ असे जे मी तुम्हास सांगितले ते तुम्ही ऐकले आहे. माझ्यावर तुमची प्रीती असती तर मी पित्याकडे जातो म्हणून तुम्हास आनंद वाटला असता; कारण माझा पिता माझ्यापेक्षा थोर आहे.
You heard me say that I was going away and would return to you. Had you loved me, you would have been glad that I was going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.
And this I have told you now before it happens, so that, when it does happen, you may still believe in me.
30 ३० यापुढे, मी तुम्हाबरोबर फार बोलणार नाही, कारण जगाचा शासक येतो; तरी माझ्यावर त्याची काही सत्ता नाही.
I will not talk with you much more, for the Spirit that is ruling the world is coming. He has nothing in common with me;
31 ३१ परंतु मी पित्यावर प्रीती करतो आणि पित्याने जशी मला आज्ञा दिली तसे मी करतो, हे जगाने ओळखावे म्हणून असे होते. उठा, आपण येथून जाऊ.”
but he is coming so that the world may see that I love the Father, and that I do as the Father commanded me. Come, let us be going.
