ईयोब 8

1 १ नंतर बिल्दद शूहीने उत्तर दिले आणि म्हणाला,

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and saide,

2 २ “तू किती वेळपर्यंत असा बोलत राहणार आहेस? तुझे शब्द सोसाट्याच्या वाऱ्यासारखे किती वेळेपर्यंत उडत राहतील.

Howe long wilt thou talke of these things? and howe long shall the wordes of thy mouth be as a mightie winde?

3 ३ देव नेहमीच न्यायी असतो का? सर्वशक्तिमान देव बरोबर असलेल्या धार्मिक गोष्टी कधीच बदलत नाही काय?

Doeth God peruert iudgement? or doeth the Almightie subuert iustice?

4 ४ तुझ्या मुलांनी देवाविरुध्द काही पाप केले असेल म्हणून देवाने त्यांना त्यांच्या पापाची शिक्षा केली.

If thy sonnes haue sinned against him, and he hath sent them into the place of their iniquitie,

5 ५ परंतु आता तू त्याच्याकडे लक्ष दे आणि त्या सर्वशक्तिमान देवाची दयेसाठी आवर्जून प्रार्थना कर.

Yet if thou wilt early seeke vnto God, and pray to the Almightie,

6 ६ तू जर चांगला आणि सरळ असलास तर तुला मदत करण्यासाठी तो त्वरीत येईल. तुझे कुटुंब तुला परत देईल.

If thou be pure and vpright, then surely hee will awake vp vnto thee, and he wil make the habitation of thy righteousnesse prosperous.

7 ७ जरी तुझी सुरुवात लहान असली, तरी तुझी अंतिम स्थिती अधिक मोठी असेल.

And though thy beginning be small, yet thy latter ende shall greatly encrease.

8 ८ मी तुला विनंती करतो वडिलांच्या वेळेची माहिती विचार, त्यांनी जो शोध लावला तो तुझ्यासाठी लागू करून घे.

Inquire therefore, I pray thee, of the former age, and prepare thy selfe to search of their fathers.

9 ९ आपण अगदी कालच जन्माला आलो आहोत आणि काहीच माहित नाही, कारण छायेप्रमाणे आपले पृथ्वीतलावरचे दिवस आहेत.

(For we are but of yesterday, and are ignorant: for our dayes vpon earth are but a shadowe)

10 १० ते काय तुला शिकविणार आणि सांगणार नाहीत काय? काय ते त्याच्या अंतकरणातून बोलणार नाही का?

Shall not they teach thee and tell thee, and vtter the wordes of their heart?

11 ११ लव्हाळी चिखलाशिवाय उंच वाढू शकतात का? गवत (बोरु) पाण्याशीवाय उगवू शकेल का?

Can a rush grow without myre? or can ye grasse growe without water?

12 १२ ते अजूनही हिरवे आहेत आणि कापले नाही, ते दुसऱ्या झाडापेक्षा लवकर सुकून जातात.

Though it were in greene and not cutte downe, yet shall it wither before any other herbe.

13 १३ म्हणून नास्तिक मनुष्याची आशा, जे सर्व देवाला विसरतात त्याचा मार्ग सुद्धा नष्ट होईल.

So are the paths of al that forget God, and the hypocrites hope shall perish.

14 १४ ज्याचा भरवसा नष्ट होतो. आणि ज्याचा विश्वास कोळ्याच्या जाळ्यासारखा तकलादु आहे.

His confidence also shalbe cut off, and his trust shalbe as the house of a spyder.

15 १५ तो आपल्या घरावर टेकला असता परंतू ते त्यास आधार देऊ शकणार नाही, त्याने ते पकडून धरले असता ते स्थिर राहायचे नाही.

He shall leane vpon his house, but it shall not stand: he shall holde him fast by it, yet shall it not endure.

16 १६ तो सूर्यप्रकाश मिळालेल्या वनस्पतीसारखा हिरवागार आहे, तिच्या फांद्या सर्व बागेत पसरतात.

The tree is greene before the sunne, and the branches spread ouer the garden thereof.

17 १७ तिची मुळे खडकाभोवती आवळली जातात आणि खडकावरही उगवण्याचा प्रयत्न करतात.

The rootes thereof are wrapped about the fountaine, and are folden about ye house of stones.

18 १८ परंतु जर हा व्यक्ती त्या जागेवरून हलवला गेला तर तो नष्ट होतो, मग ती जागा त्यास नाकारुन म्हणेल ‘मी तुला कधी पाहिले नाही.’

If any plucke it from his place, and it denie, saying, I haue not seene thee,

19 १९ पाहा अशा रीतीने वागणाऱ्या वक्तीबद्दल हाच आनंद आहे की तिच्याच जागी धुळीतून दुसरे उगवतील.

Beholde, it will reioyce by this meanes, that it may growe in another molde.

20 २० पाहा, देव निरागस लोकांस सोडून देत नाही. तसेच तो वाईट मनुष्यांना मदतही करत नाही.

Behold, God will not cast away an vpright man, neither will he take the wicked by the hand,

21 २१ देव तुझे तोंड हास्याने भरुन टाकेल आणि तुझे ओठ आनंदाने ओरडतील!

Till he haue filled thy mouth with laughter, and thy lippes with ioy.

22 २२ जे तुझा द्वेष करतात ते लज्जेची वस्त्रे घालतील, दुष्ट मनुष्यांची राहूटी नष्ट होइल.”

They that hate thee, shall be clothed with shame, and the dwelling of the wicked shall not remaine.
