ईयोब 33

1 १ “ईयोब, मी तुला विनंती करतो, माझे बोलने ऐक. माझे सर्व शब्दांकडे लक्ष दे.

Wherefore, Job, I pray thee, hear my speeches, and hearken to all my words.

2 २ पाहा, मी आता बोलायला माझे मुख उघडले आहे, माझी जीभ माझ्या तोंडात हालू लागली आहे.

Behold, now I have opened my mouth, my tongue hath spoken in my mouth.

3 ३ माझे शब्दच माझ्या अंत: करणाचे प्रामाणिकपण सांगतील, माझ्या ओठांना जे माहीती आहे, तेच ते प्रामाणिकपणे बोलतील.

My words [shall be of] the uprightness of my heart: and my lips shall utter knowledge clearly.

4 ४ देवाच्या आत्म्याने मला निर्माण केले आहे, मला सर्वशक्तिमान देवाच्या श्वासाद्ववारे जीवन मिळाले आहे.

The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me life.

5 ५ तुला शक्य झाले तर मला उत्तर दे, माझ्याशी वाद घालण्याकरता तुझी उत्तरे तयार ठेव.

If thou canst answer me, set [thy words] in order before me, stand up.

6 ६ पाहा, देवासमोर मी आणि तू सारखेच आहोत, मलाही माती पासून उत्पन्न केले आहे.

Behold, I [am] according to thy wish in God's stead: I also am formed out of the clay.

7 ७ पाहा, माझी दरारा तुला घाबरवणार नाही, माझा दाब तुला जड होणार नाही.

Behold, my terror shall not make thee afraid, neither shall my hand be heavy upon thee.

8 ८ तू जे बोललास ते मी निश्चित ऐकले, मी तुझ्या शब्दांचा आवाज असे म्हणतांना ऐकला,

Surely thou hast spoken in my hearing, and I have heard the voice of [thy] words, [saying],

9 ९ ‘मी शुध्द आहे, मी निरपराध आहे, मी काहीही चूक केली नाही मी निर्दोष आहे, आणि माझ्यामध्ये पाप नाही.

I am clean without transgression, I [am] innocent; neither [is there] iniquity in me.

10 १० पाहा, देव माझ्यावर हल्ला करण्याची संधी पाहतो देवाने मला शत्रूप्रमाणे वागवले आहे.

Behold, he findeth occasions against me, he counteth me for his enemy,

11 ११ देवाने माझ्या पायला साखळदंड बांधले देव माझी प्रत्येक हालचाल बघतो.’

He putteth my feet in the stocks, he marketh all my paths.

12 १२ पाहा, मी तुला उत्तर देईल तू या बाबतीत चुकतो आहेस, देव कोणत्याही मनुष्यापेक्षा महान आहे.

Behold, [in] this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.

13 १३ तू त्याच्याशी का वाद घालत आहेस? तो आपल्या कोणत्याही करणीचे कारण सांगत नाही.

Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.

14 १४ देव एकदा बोलतो, होय दोनदा बोलतो, तरी मनुष्य त्याकडे लक्ष देत नाही.

For God speaketh once, yes twice, [yet man] perceiveth it not.

15 १५ देव लोकांशी रात्री ते गाढ झोपेत असताना स्वप्नात किंवा दृष्टांतात बोलत असेल, जेव्हा मनुष्य गाढ झोपेत असतो.

In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

16 १६ नंतर देव मनुष्याची कानउघडणी करतो, आणि त्याच्या धमकीने घाबरवितो.

Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,

17 १७ मनुष्यास त्यांना पापाच्या हेतूपासून मागे ओढण्यासाठी, आणि गर्व न करण्याचेही सांगतो.

That he may withdraw man [from his] purpose, and hide pride from man.

18 १८ देव गर्तेतून मनुष्याचे जीवन वाचवितो, त्याच्या जीवनाला मरणापासून वाचवितो.

He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

19 १९ मनुष्याला केलेल्या शिक्षेमुळे अंथरुणात पडून दु: ख भोगत असेल वेदनेने त्याची सगळी हाडे तळमळतात.

He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong [pain]:

20 २० नंतर तो मनुष्य खाऊ शकत नाही चांगल्या अन्नाचासुध्दा त्यास तिरस्कार वाटतो.

So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty food.

21 २१ त्याचे शरीर इतके क्षीण होते की तो जवळ जवळ दिसेनासा होतो. त्याची सगळी हाडे जी कधी दिसली नाही ती आता दिसतात.

His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones [that] were not seen stick out.

22 २२ खरोखर, तो मृत्यूलोकाजवळ येऊन ठेपतो आणि त्याचे जीवन मरणपंथाला लागलेले असते.

Yes, his soul draweth near to the grave, and his life to the destroyers.

23 २३ परंतू एखादा देवदूत जर त्याचा मध्यस्थ झाला, मध्यस्थ, हजारो देवदुतापैकी एक, त्यास चांगला मार्ग दाखवणारा.

If there is a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man his uprightness:

24 २४ आणि देवदूत त्याच्याशी दयेने वागेल, आणि देवाला सांगेल. ‘या मनुष्यास मृत्युलोकात जाण्यापासून वाचव त्याच्या पापाची किंमत मोजण्याचा दुसरा एक मार्ग मला सापडला आहे.’

Then he is gracious to him, and saith, Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom.

25 २५ मग त्याचे शरीर पुन: बालकासारखे जोमदार बनेल. तो तरुणपणी जसा मजबूत होता तसाच पुन्हा होईल.

His flesh shall be fresher than a child's: he will return to the days of his youth:

26 २६ तो देवाची प्रार्थना करेल आणि देव त्यास दया देईल. म्हणजे तो देवाचे मुख आनंदाने पाहील. नंतर तो मनुष्य पुन्हा चांगले जीवन जगायला लागेल.

He shall pray to God, and he will be favorable to him: and he shall see his face with joy: for he will render to man his righteousness.

27 २७ नंतर तो लोकांस कबुली देईल. तो म्हणेल, ‘मी पापकर्म केले. मी पाप केले चांगल्याचे वाईट केले. पंरतू माझ्या पापाला शिक्षा झाली नाही.

He looketh upon men, and [if any] shall say, I have sinned, and perverted [that which was] right, and it profited me not;

28 २८ त्याने माझ्या आत्म्याला मृत्युलोकात जाण्यापासून वाचवेल. माझ्या जीव नियमीत त्याचा प्रकाश पाहील.

He will deliver his soul from going into the pit, and his life shall see the light.

29 २९ पाहा, देव या गोष्टी मनुष्यासाठी करतो, दोनदा, होय तीनदा,

Lo, all these [things] God often worketh with man,

30 ३० त्याच्या जीवाला मृत्युलोकात जाण्यापासून वाचवण्यासाठी असे करतो म्हणजे त्याचे जीवन प्रकाशाने प्रकाशीत होते.

To bring back his soul from the pit, to be enlightened with the light of the living.

31 ३१ ईयोबा, मी काय म्हणतो त्याकडे लक्ष दे. माझे ऐक! तू गप्प रहा आणि मला बोलू दे.

Mark well, O Job, hearken to me: hold thy peace, and I will speak.

32 ३२ पण ईयोबा, जर तुला माझे बोलणे पटत नसेल तर तू खुशाल बोल. मला तुझे मुद्दे सांग. कारण मला तुझे बोलणे सुधारायचे आहे.

If thou hast any thing to say, answer me: speak, for I desire to justify thee.

33 ३३ परंतु ईयोबा, तुइयाजवळ बोलण्यासारखे काही नसेल तर माझे ऐक. तू गप्प रहा आणि मी तुला शहाणपण शिकवेन.”

If not, hearken to me: hold thy peace, and I shall teach thee wisdom.
