ईयोब 25

1 १ नंतर बिल्दद शूहीने उत्तर दिले व तो म्हणाला,

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:

2 २ “अधीकार चालवणे व भीती दाखवणे हे देवाकडेच आहे, तो स्वर्गाच्या उच्च स्थानामध्ये शांती राखतो.

Dominion and fear are with Him; He maketh peace in His high places.

3 ३ त्याच्या सैन्याची मोजणी करीता येईल काय? कोणावर त्याचा प्रकाश पडत नाही?

Is there any number of His armies? And upon whom doth not His light arise?

4 ४ मनुष्य देवापुढे नितीमान कसा ठरेल? स्त्रीपासुन जन्मलेला निर्मळ कसा ठरेल, व त्यास स्विकारले जाईल.

How then can man be just with God? Or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

5 ५ पाहा, त्याच्या दृष्टीने चंद्र सुध्दा तेजोमय नाही. त्याच्या दृष्टीला तारे देखील पवित्र वाटत नाहीत.

Behold, even the moon hath no brightness, and the stars are not pure in His sight;

6 ६ मग मनुष्य किती कमी आहे, एखाद्या अळीप्रमाणे आहे. तो जंतूप्रमाणे आहे.”

How much less man, that is a worm! and the son of man, that is a maggot!
