ईयोब 11

1 १ नंतर नामाथीच्या सोफरने उत्तर दिले आणि तो म्हणाला,

Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 २ “शब्दांच्या या भडीमाराला उत्तर द्यायलाच हवे? सगळ्या बोलण्यात हा मनुष्य बरोबर ठरतो का?

Should not the multitude of words be answered? And should a man full of talk be justified?

3 ३ तुझा गर्वाच्या बडबडीने दुसरे चूप होतील का? जेव्हा तू आमच्या शिक्षणाची निंदा करशील, तुला कोणी फजीत करणार नाही काय?

Should thy boastings make men hold their peace? And when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

4 ४ तू देवाला म्हणतोस, माझे मानणे खरे आहे, आणि तुझ्या नजरेत मी निर्दोष आहे.

For thou sayest, My doctrine is pure, And I am clean in thine eyes.

5 ५ अहो, परंतु, देवाने बोलावे आणि तुझ्या विरूद्ध त्याने ओठ उघडावे.

But oh that God would speak, And open his lips against thee,

6 ६ तो (देव) तुला ज्ञानाचे रहस्य दाखवितो! चातुराईत तो (देव) महान आहे. तुझ्या अन्यायाच्या मानाने तुला जेवढी शिक्षा करायला हवी तेवढी तो करत नाही हे तू समजावे.

And that he would show thee the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

7 ७ तू देवाला खरोखरीच समजू शकतोस असे तुला वाटते का? त्या सर्वशक्तिमान देवाला समजणे अशक्य आहे.

Canst thou by searching find out God? Canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

8 ८ त्याचे शहाणपण आकाशाच्या उंचीइतके आहे, तू काय करु शकतोस? ते अधोलोकापेक्षा खोल आहे. तू काय जाणू शकतोस? (Sheol h7585)

It is high as heaven; what canst thou do? Deeper than Sheol; what canst thou know? (Sheol h7585)

9 ९ तो पृथ्वीपेक्षा मोठा आहे आणि सागरापेक्षा महान आहे.

The measure thereof is longer than the earth, And broader than the sea.

10 १० फिरत असता त्याने एखाद्यास पकडून अटकेत टाकले, जर त्याने एखाद्याचा न्याय करावयाचे ठरवले तर त्यास कोण अडवू शकेल?

If he pass through, and shut up, And call unto judgment, then who can hinder him?

11 ११ त्यास चुकीचे लोक माहीत आहेत, तो ज्या वाईट गोष्टी बघतो त्या त्यास समजत नाही काय?

For he knoweth false men: He seeth iniquity also, even though he consider it not.

12 १२ परंतु मूर्ख मनुष्यास शाहाणपण समजत नाही, त्यांना समजेल रानटी गाढव मनुष्यास जन्म देईल.

But vain man is void of understanding, Yea, man is born [as] a wild ass’s colt.

13 १३ परंतु तू तुझ्या मनाची तयारी केली पाहिजेस आणि तू तुझे हात त्याची उपासना करण्यासाठी देवाच्या दिशेने उचलले पाहिजेस.

If thou set thy heart aright, And stretch out thy hands toward him;

14 १४ तुझ्या हाती असलेल्या अधर्माला तू दूर ठेवले पाहिजेस. तुझ्या डेऱ्यात वाईट गोष्टींना थारा देऊ नकोस.

If iniquity be in thy hand, put it far away, And let not unrighteousness dwell in thy tents.

15 १५ तरच तू निश्चित त्याच्याकडे तोंड वर करून बघू शकशील. लज्जेच्या कोणत्याही चिन्हाविणा, खरोखर, तू खंबीर आणि भीती शिवाय उभा राहशील.

Surely then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; Yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

16 १६ तू तुझे दु: ख विसरशील, तुझे दु: ख निचरा झालेल्या पाण्यासारखे वाहून जाईल.

For thou shalt forget thy misery; Thou shalt remember it as waters that are passed away,

17 १७ भर दुपारच्या सूर्य प्रकाशापेक्षाही तुझे आयुष्य चमकदार होईल. आयुष्यातील अंधार सकाळच्या सूर्यप्रकाशाप्रमाणे चमकेल.

And [thy] life shall be clearer than the noonday; Though there be darkness, it shall be as the morning.

18 १८ तुला सुरक्षित वाटेल कारण तिथे आशा असेल. खरोखर, सभोवती सुरक्षा पाहून तू बेफिकार आराम करशील.

And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; Yea, thou shalt search [about thee], and shalt take thy rest in safety.

19 १९ तू विश्रांती घेण्यासाठी आडवा होशील आणि तुला कोणीही त्रास देणार नाही. खरोखर, तुझ्याकडे पुष्कळ लोक मदतीसाठी येतील.

Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; Yea, many shall make suit unto thee.

20 २० वाईट लोकांचे डोळे थकतील. परंतु त्यांना संकटापासून सुटकेचा मार्ग नाही, त्यांची आशा त्यांना मृत्यूकडे नेईल.”

But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, And they shall have no way to flee; And their hope shall be the giving up of the ghost.
