यशया 53
Who believed what we have heard? And, the arm of Yahweh, to whom was it revealed?
2 २ कारण तो एखाद्या रोपट्याप्रमाणे परमेश्वरासमोर वाढला आणि शुष्क भूमीवर अंकुराप्रमाणे वाढला; त्याच्यात उल्लेखनीय रुप किंवा सौंदर्य नव्हते. जेव्हा आम्ही त्यास पाहीले, आम्हास आकर्षित करून घेईल अशी सुंदरता त्याच्यात नव्हती.
When he came up as a sapling before him. And as a root-sprout out of dry ground, He had neither beauty nor majesty, —When we beheld him, there was nothing to behold, that we should desire him;
3 ३ लोकांनी तुच्छ मानलेला आणि नाकारलेला; दुःखी आणि यातनेशी परिचित तो मनुष्य होता. ज्याच्यापासून लोक आपले तोंड लपवत, असा तो तुच्छ होता; आणि आम्ही त्यास किरकोळ मानले.
Despised was he, and forsaken of men, Man of pains and familiar with sickness, —Yea, like one from whom the face is hidden, Despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 ४ पण खरोखर त्याने आमचे विकार आणि आमचे दुःख आपल्यावर घेऊन वाहिले; तरी आम्ही देवाने त्यास शिक्षा केलेली, देवाने त्यास हाणलेला आणि पीडलेला असा आम्ही विचार केला.
Yet surely, our sicknesses, he, carried, And, as for our pains, he bare the burden of them, —But, we, accounted him stricken. Smitten of God and humbled,
5 ५ पण आमच्या बंडखोर कृत्यांच्या कारणांमुळे तो भोसकला गेला; आमच्या अपराधांमुळे तो चिरडला गेला. आमच्या शांतीसाठी त्याच्यावर शिक्षा आली, त्याच्या जखमांनी आम्हास आरोग्य मिळाले.
Yet, he, was pierced for transgressions that were ours, was crushed for iniquities that were ours, —the chastisement for our well-being, was upon him, And by his stripes, there is healing for us.
6 ६ पण आम्ही मेंढराप्रमाणे बहकून दूर गेलो होतो; आम्ही सर्व आपापल्या मार्गात फिरलो होतो, आणि परमेश्वराने आमचे सर्व अपराध त्याच्यावर ठेवले.
We all, like sheep, had gone astray, Every man—to his way, had we burned, —And Yahweh! caused to light upon him The guilt of, us all!
7 ७ त्याच्यावर अत्याचार झाले; तरी जेव्हा त्याने आपल्या स्वतःला नम्र केले तेव्हा त्याने आपले तोंडही उघडले नाही; जसे कोकरू कापणाऱ्यापुढे आणि मेंढी लोकर कातणाऱ्यासमोर शांत राहते, तसे त्याने आपले तोंड उघडले नाही.
Hard pressed—yet, he, humbled himself Nor opened his mouth—As, a lamb, to the slaughter, is led, And, as a sheep, before her shearers, is dumb—Nor opened his mouth.
8 ८ बळजबरी करून आणि निवाडा करून त्यास दोषी ठरवून, पण त्यास जिवंतांच्या भूमीतून काढून नेले; कारण माझ्या लोकांच्या अपराधांमुळे त्याच्यावर दंड ठेवण्यात आला. त्या पिढीपासून कोणी त्याच्याबद्दल असा विचार केला काय?
By constraint and by sentence, was he taken away, And of his age, who considered That he was cut off out of the land of the living, For my people’s transgression, did the stroke fall on him?
9 ९ त्याची कबर दुष्टांबरोबर करण्याचा त्यांचा बेत होता, त्याच्या मृत्यूनंतर त्यास श्रीमंताबरोबर पुरले. तरी त्याने काही हिंसा केली नव्हती किंवा त्याच्या मुखात काही कपट नव्हते.
And, appointed with lawless men, was his grave, And with the wicked, his tomb, —Though no violence, had he done, Nor was guile in his mouth.
10 १० तरी परमेश्वराची इच्छा होती त्यास जखमी अवस्थेत ठेचावे; जर तुम्ही लोक त्याचे जीवन पापार्पण करता, तो त्याची संतती पाहील, तो आपले दिवस दीर्घ करील आणि परमेश्वराचा उद्देश त्याच्याद्वारे परिपूर्ण होईल.
Yet, Yahweh, purposed to bruise him, He laid on him sickness: —If his soul become an offering for guilt, He shall see a seed, He shall prolong his days, —And the purpose of Yahweh, in his hand, shall prosper:
11 ११ तो आपल्या जिवाच्या दुःखसहनानंतर, तो पाहील व त्याच्या आपल्या ज्ञानाने समाधानी होईल. माझा आपला नितीमान सेवक पुष्कळांचा न्याय करील; तो त्यांच्या अन्यायाचा भार आपल्यावर घेईल.
Of the travail of his soul, shall he see He shall be satisfied with his knowledge, A setting right when set right himself, shall my Servant win for the Many, Since of their iniquities, he, taketh the burden.
12 १२ ह्यामुळेच मी त्यास त्याचा वाटा मोठ्या जमावामध्ये देईल, आणि तो अनेक बिघडलेल्याबरोबर विभागून घेईल, कारण त्याने आपले जीवन मरणापर्यंत उघडे केले आणि तो अपराध्यात गणलेला होता. त्याने बहुतांचे पाप आपल्यावर घेतले आणि अपराध्यांसाठी मध्यस्थी केली.
Therefore, will I give him a portion in the great, And the strong, shall he apportion as spoil, Because he poured out, to death his own soul, And with transgressors, let himself be numbered, —Yea, he, the sin of Many, bare, And for transgressors, interposeth.
