यशया 26
1 १ त्या दिवशी यहूदा प्रदेशात हे गीत गातील, आम्हास बळकट शहर आहे, देवाने त्याच्या भींतींना व तटबंदीना तारण असे केले आहे.
In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah: “We have a strong city; His aid doth God appoint for walls and bulwarks.
Open ye the gates, That the righteous nation may enter in, The nation that keepeth the truth.
Him that is of a steadfast mind Thou wilt keep in continual peace, Because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in Jehovah forever, For the Lord Jehovah is an everlasting rock.
5 ५ कारण जे अभिमानाने राहतात त्यांना तो खाली आणील, तो उंच गढांना, खाली आणणार, तो तिला भूमीपर्यंत खाली नीच करणार, तो तिला धुळीस मिळवणार.
For he hath brought down the inhabitants of the fortress; The lofty city he hath laid low; He hath laid her low even to the ground; He hath levelled her with the dust.
The foot trampleth upon her, The feet of the poor, the steps of the needy.
The way of the upright is a smooth way; Thou, O most righteous, doth level the path of the upright!
8 ८ होय, परमेश्वरा, तुझ्या न्यायाच्या मार्गात आम्ही तुझी वाट पाहिली आहे, आमच्या जीवाची इच्छा तुझ्या नावाकडे, तुझ्या स्मरणाकडेच आहे.
In the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, we have waited for thee; The desire of our souls is to thy name, and to the remembrance of thee.
9 ९ प्रत्येक रात्रीबरोबर तुझ्याशी एकरूप होण्याची आमची इच्छा आहे, माझा आत्मा माझ्यामध्ये आतुरतेने तुला शोधीन, कारण जेव्हा तुझा न्याय या पृथ्वीवर येतो, तेव्हा या जगातील राहणारे न्यायीपण शिकतात.
My soul longeth for thee in the night, And my spirit within me seeketh thee in the morning; For when thy judgments are in the earth, The inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.
10 १० पापी मनुष्यावर तू फक्त दयाच करीत राहिलास तर तो कधीच न्यायीपण शिकणार नाही. सरळपणाच्या भूमीत तो दुष्टतेनेच वागणार, आणि परमेश्वराचा महिमा पाहणार नाही.
Though favor be shown to the wicked, He will not learn righteousness; In the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly, And have no regard to the majesty of Jehovah.
11 ११ परमेश्वरा, तुझा हात उंचावलेला आहे, पण त्यांनी त्याकडे लक्ष दिले नाही. तुझ्या लोकांबद्दल असलेला तुझा आवेश ते पाहतील आणि फजित होतील. तुझे शत्रू नक्कीच त्यांच्याच आगीत भस्मसात होतील.
Thy hand, O Jehovah, is lifted up, yet do they not see; But they shall see with shame thy zeal for thy people; Yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.
Thou, O Jehovah, wilt give us peace; For all our works thou doest for us.
13 १३ परमेश्वर आमचा देव, तुला सोडून इतर देवतांनी आम्हावर राज्य केले. पण आम्ही फक्त तुझीच स्तुती करतो.
O Jehovah, our God, other lords have had dominion over us besides thee; Only through thee do we call upon thy name.
14 १४ ते मृत आहेत, ते जिवंत नाहीत; ते प्रेते आहेत, ते उठणार नाहीत. खरोखर, तू त्यांना दंड देऊन त्यांचा नाश केला आहेस आणि त्यांची आठवण तू नष्ट केली आहेस.
They are dead, they shall not live; They are shades, they shall not rise. For thou hast visited and destroyed them, And caused all the memory of them to perish.
15 १५ हे परमेश्वरा, तू राष्ट्र वाढवले आहेस, तू राष्ट्र वाढवले आहे, तू सन्मानीत आहेस, तू भूमीच्या सर्व सीमा विस्तारित केल्या आहेत.
“Thou wilt enlarge the nation, O Jehovah! Thou wilt enlarge the nation; thou wilt glorify thyself; Thou wilt widely extend all the borders of the land.
16 १६ परमेश्वरा, संकटात असताना ते तुझे स्मरण करतात. तुझी शिक्षा त्यांच्यावर असता त्यांनी तुझ्यापुढे प्रार्थना केली.
O Jehovah, in affliction they sought thee; They poured out their prayer, when thy chastisement was upon them.
17 १७ जेव्हा एखादी स्त्री प्रसूतीची वेळ जवळ आली म्हणजे ती वेदनेने विव्हळते आणि आपल्या वेदनांमध्ये ओरडते, प्रभू, तसे आम्ही तुझ्यापुढे आहोत.
As a woman with child, when her delivery is near, Is in anguish, and crieth aloud in her pangs, So have we been, far from thy presence, O Jehovah!
18 १८ त्याचप्रमाणे आम्ही गरोदर होतो, आम्ही प्रसूतीवेदनेमध्ये होतो, पण आम्ही फक्त वाऱ्याला जन्म दिला. पृथ्वीत आम्ही काही तारण केले नाही, आणि जगातील राहणारे पडले नाहीत.
We have been with child; we have been in anguish, Yet have, as it were, brought forth wind. To the land we bring no deliverance; Nor are the inhabitants of the land born.
19 १९ तुझे मरण पावलेले जिवंत होतील, आमचे मृत शरीरे उठतील. जे धुळीत स्थायिक झाले ते तुम्ही जागे व्हा आणि आनंदाने गायन करा. कारण तुझ्यावरील दहिवर हे प्रभातीचे जिवनदायी दहिवर आहे, पृथ्वी तिचे भक्ष तिच्यातील मृत बाहेर टाकील.”
O might thy dead live again, Might the dead bodies of my people arise! Awake, and sing, ye that dwell in the dust! For thy dew is like the dew upon plants, And the earth shall bring forth her dead.”
20 २० माझ्या लोकांनो, आपापल्या खोल्यांत जा आणि दारे लावून घ्या. क्रोध टळून जाईपर्यंत थोडा वेळासाठी लपा.
Come, my people, enter into thy chambers, And shut thy doors behind thee; Hide thyself for a little moment, Until the indignation be overpast!
21 २१ कारण पाहा, परमेश्वर पृथ्वीतल्या राहणाऱ्यांच्या अन्यायाबद्दल शिक्षा करण्यास आपले स्थान सोडून येत आहे. मारल्या गेलेल्यांचे रक्त पृथ्वी प्रगट करेल, आणि आपल्या वधलेल्यांना यापुढे झाकून ठेवणार नाही.
For behold, Jehovah cometh forth from his place, To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; And the earth shall disclose her blood, And shall no longer cover her slain.
