यशया 13
The oracle on Babylon, —of which Isaiah, son of Amoz had vision: —
2 २ उघडया डोंगरावर इशारा देणारा ध्वज उभारा, त्यांना मोठयाने हाक मारा, त्यांनी सरदारांच्या द्वारात यावे म्हणून त्यांना हाताने खुणवा.
Upon a bare mountain, lift ye up a standard, Raise high the voice to them, Wave the hand, That they may enter the doors of nobles.
3 ३ मी आपल्या पवित्र केलेल्यांस आज्ञा केली आहे, होय, माझ्या क्रोधास्तव मी माझ्या पराक्रमी लोकांस, तसेच गर्वाने उल्लासीत होणाऱ्या माझ्या लोकांस बोलाविले आहे.
I myself, have given charge to my hallowed ones, —Yea I have called My heroes in showing mine anger, My proudly exulting ones.
4 ४ अनेक लोकांच्या समुदायाच्या गोंगाटाप्रमाणे, अनेक राष्ट्रांच्या राजाच्या एकत्र जमल्याप्रमाणे डोंगरात गलबला होत आहे. सेनाधीश परमेश्वर लढाईसाठी फौज तयार करत आहे.
The noise of a multitude in the mountains, A resemblance of many people, —The noise of a tumult of kingdoms Nations gathered together, Yahweh of hosts, mustering a host for battle!
5 ५ ते दूर देशातून, दिगंतापासून येत आहेत. परमेश्वर त्याच्या न्यायाच्या शस्त्रांसहीत संपूर्ण देशाचा नाश करावयास येत आहे.
They are coming in From a land far away. From the utmost bound of the heavens, —Yahweh—with his weapons of indignation, To destroy the land.
Howl ye! for at hand is the day of Yahweh, —As a veritable destruction from the Almighty, shall it come.
For this cause—All hands, shall hang down, —and Every mortal heart, melt.
8 ८ ते अगदी घाबरतील; प्रसूत होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे वेणा व वेदना यांनी त्यांना घेरले आहे. ते विस्मयाने एकमेकांकडे पाहतील; त्यांची मुखे ज्वालेच्या मुखांसारखी होतील.
And they shall be in distress—Writhings and pains, shall lay hold, As a woman in childbirth, shall they be in pangs, —Everyone, at his neighbour, shall look in amazement, Faces of flames, their faces!
9 ९ पाहा, क्रोध आणि संतापाने भरून वाहणारा रोष, असा परमेश्वराचा दिवस येत आहे अशासाठी की देश उजाड आणि तिच्यातून पाप्यांचा नाश करायला येत आहे.
Lo! the day of Yahweh, coming in, Fierce and overflowing, and burning with anger, —To devote the earth to desolation, And her sinners, will he destroy out of it.
10 १० आकाशाचे तारे आणि नक्षत्रे आपला प्रकाश देणार नाहीत. अरुणोदयापासूनच सूर्य अंधकारमय होईल आणि चंद्र प्रकाशणार नाही.
For the stars of the heavens and their constellations, shall not flash forth their light, —Obscured shall be the sun in his going forth, And the moon, shall not shed her light.
11 ११ मी जगाला त्यांच्या वाईटासाठी आणि दुष्टांला त्यांच्या अपराधासाठी शिक्षा करीन. मी गर्विष्ठांचा उद्धटपणा आणि निर्दयांचा गर्व उतरवील.
And I will visit, upon the inhabited earth, calamity!, And upon the lawless, their punishment, And will quiet the arrogance of the proud, And the loftiness of tyrants, will I lay low.
12 १२ मी पुरुषांना उत्कृष्ट सोन्यापेक्षा अधिक दुर्मिळ करील आणि मानवजात ओफीरच्या शुध्द सोन्याहून शोधण्यास कठिण करील.
I will cause, a man, to be more precious than fine gold, —Even a son of earth than, the finest gold of Ophir.
13 १३ म्हणून मी आकाश हादरून सोडील, व पृथ्वी तिच्या स्थानावरून हालविली जाईल, सेनाधीश परमेश्वराचा संताप आणि त्याच्या तीव्र क्रोधाचा दिवस येईल.
For this cause, the heavens, will I disturb, And, the earth, shall tremble out of her place, —In the wrath of Yahweh of hosts, And in the day of the glow of his anger.
14 १४ शिकारी झालेल्या हरिणाप्रमाणे किंवा मेंढपाळ नसलेल्या मेंढराप्रमाणे, प्रत्येक मनुष्य आपल्या स्वतःच्या लोकाकडे वळेल आणि आपल्या देशाकडे पळून जाईल.
And it shall be—Like a gazelle that is chased, And like a sheep with none to lift it up, —Each, to his own people, will they turn, And, each, to his own land, will they flee:
Every one found, shall be thrust through, —And, every one taken, shall fall by the sword;
16 १६ त्यांच्या डोळ्यादेखत त्यांची बालके आपटून तुकडे तुकडे करण्यात येतील. त्यांची घरे लुटली जातील आणि त्यांच्या स्त्रियांवर बलात्कार होतील.
And, their infants, shall be dashed to the ground, before their eyes, —Plundered shall be, their houses, and their wives ravished.
17 १७ पाहा, मी त्यांच्याविरुद्ध माद्य लोकांस हल्ला करण्यासाठी उठवीन, ते रुप्याबद्दल पर्वा करणार नाहीत किंवा ते सोन्याने आनंदीत होणार नाही.
Behold me! stirring up against them the Medes, —Who of silver, shall take no account, And as for gold, they shall not delight in it;
And, bows, shall dash the young to pieces, —And on the fruit of the womb, will they have no pity, Over children, will their eye throw no shield.
19 १९ आणि राज्याचे अधिक कौतुक, खास्द्यांच्या वैभवाचा अभिमान अशी बाबेल, तिला सदोम आणि गमोराप्रमाणे देवाकडून उलथून टाकण्यात येईल.
Thus shall Babylon—The most lovely of kingdoms, The majestic beauty of the Chaldees—Become as in the divine overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah.
20 २० ती कधी वसविली जाणार नाही आणि पिढ्यानपिढ्यापासून तिच्यामध्ये कोणी राहणार नाहीत. अरब आपले तंबू तेथे ठोकणार नाहीत किंवा मेंढपाळ आपले कळप तेथे विसाव्यास नेणार नाहीत.
It shall not be dwelt in for ever, Neither shall it be inhabited from generation to generation, —Neither shall encamp there, an Arab, Nor, shepherds, fold their flocks there.
21 २१ परंतु रानातील जंगली पशू तेथे पडतील. त्यांची घरे घुबडांनी भरतील; आणि शहामृग व रानबोकड तेथे उड्या मारतील.
Then shall lie down there, wild beasts, And filled shall be their houses with owls, —Then shall inhabit there, the ostrich, And shaggy creatures, shall dance there.
22 २२ तरस त्यांच्या किल्ल्यात आणि कोल्हे त्याच्या सुंदर महालात ओरडतील. तिची वेळ जवळ आली आहे आणि तिच्या दिवसास विलंब लागणार नाही.
And jackals shall answer, in their citadels, And wild dogs, in their voluptuous palaces, —And near to come is her time, And, her days, shall not be delayed.
