होशेय 14

1 १ हे इस्राएला, आपला देवा परमेश्वर याकडे परत ये, तुझ्या दुष्टपणामुळे तुझे पतन झाले आहे.

Return, O Israel, to Jehovah thy God; For thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.

2 २ कबुलीच्या शब्दासोबत परमेश्वराकडे वळा, त्यास म्हणा, आमचे अधर्म दूर कर आणि दयेने आमचा स्वीकार कर म्हणजे आम्ही तुझी स्तुती करु, आपल्या ओठांचे फळ तुला अर्पू.

Take with you words, And return to Jehovah, saying, “Forgive all our iniquity, and receive us graciously, And we will render to thee the sacrifices of our lips!

3 ३ अश्शूर आम्हास तारणार नाही, आम्ही युध्दासाठी घोड्यावर स्वार होणार नाही, यापुढे आमच्या हाताच्या मूर्तीस आमचा देव म्हणणार नाही, कारण तुझ्यामध्ये अनाथांना दया प्राप्त होते.

Assyria shall not help us; We will not ride on horses; And no more will we say to the work of our hands, Ye are our Gods! For from thee the fatherless obtaineth mercy.”

4 ४ ज्यांनी मला सोडले ते जर परत मजकडे आले तर मी त्यांना आरोग्य देईन, त्यांच्यावर मोकळ्या मनाने प्रीती करीन, कारण माझा त्यांच्यावरचा राग गेला आहे.

“I will heal their rebellion; I will love them freely; For my anger is turned away from them.

5 ५ मी इस्राएलास दहीवरासारखा होईल, तो भुकमळासारखा फुलेल आणि लबानोनात देवदारूप्रमाणे मुळ धरील.

I will be as the dew to Israel; He shall blossom as the lily, And strike his roots like Lebanon.

6 ६ त्याच्या फांद्या पसरतील, त्याची सुंदरता जैतून वृक्षासारखी होईल, आणि त्याचा सुगंध लबानोनातील देवदार वृक्षासारखा होईल.

His sprouts shall spread forth, And his beauty shall be as the olive-tree, And his fragrance as Lebanon.

7 ७ त्याच्या सावलीत राहणारे लोक परत येतील, ते धान्यासारखे पुनर्जिवित होतील; आणि द्राक्षाप्रमाणे फळ देतील, त्याची प्रतिष्ठा लबानोनाच्या द्राक्षरसासारखी होईल.

They that dwell under his shadow Shall revive as the corn; They shall shoot forth as the vine; Their name shall be like the wine of Lebanon.

8 ८ एफ्राईम म्हणेल, या मूर्त्यांचे मी काय करु? मी त्यास उत्तर देईन त्याची काळजी घेईन मी सारखा सदाहरित आहे, माझ्यातून तुला फळ मिळते.

Ephraim shall say, What have I more to do with idols? I will hear him; I will care for him; I will be like a green cypress-tree; From me shall thy fruit be found.”

9 ९ कोण चतुर आहे ज्याला या गोष्टी समजतील? कोण समंजस आहे ज्याला ते समजेल? परमेश्वराचे मार्ग सरळ आहेत, आणि धार्मिक त्यामध्ये चालतील पण बंडखोर त्यामध्ये अडखळून पडतील.

Who is wise, that he may understand these things, Prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, And the righteous walk in them; But in them transgressors stumble.
