हबक्कूक 2
1 १ मी आपल्या पहाऱ्यावर उभा राहिन आणि बुरुजावर पहारा करीन, आणि तो मला काय म्हणेल व माझ्या तक्रारीपासून मी कसा वळेन ते लक्षपूर्वक पाहीन.
I will take my stand on my watch-tower, and station myself on a turret. I will watch to see what the Lord will say to me, what answer he will make to my complaint.
2 २ परमेश्वराने मला उत्तर दिले आणि म्हटले, “मी तुला जो दृष्टांत दाखवतो, तो स्पष्टपणे पाट्यांवर लिहून ठेव अशासाठी की जो कोणी ते वाचतो त्याने धावावे!
Then the Lord answered me and said: Inscribe the vision plainly on tablets, so that even someone running by could read it.
3 ३ कारण हा दृष्टांत नेमलेल्या समयासाठी अजून राखून ठेवला आहे, शेवटी तो बोलणार व फसवणार नाही, जरी त्यांने विलंब केला तरी, त्याची वाट पाहा! खचित तो येणारच आणि थांबणार नाही!
Though the vision waits for the time set, it hastens to fulfilment and will not fail; Though it linger long, wait for it. For it surely will come and will not be delayed.
4 ४ पाहा! मनुष्याचा आत्मा गर्विष्ठ झाला आहे, आणि स्वत: च्या ठायीच तो सरळ नाही, परंतू न्यायी आपल्या विश्वासाने वाचेल.
The strength of the proud fails, but the upright lives by their faithfulness.
5 ५ कारण द्राक्षरस तर विश्वासघात करणारा आहे, तो उन्मत्त तरूण पुरुष आहे आणि घरी राहत नाही. परंतू तो कबरेसारख्या आपल्या इच्छा वाढवतो, तो मृत्यूसारखा असतो, तो कधीच तृप्त होत नाही. तो आपल्याजवळ प्रत्येक राष्ट्र एकत्र करतो आणि आपल्यासाठी सर्व लोकांस एकत्र करतो. (Sheol h7585)
Wealth is treacherous, the arrogant never have enough. They make their desire as wide as Sheol, are like death, unsatisfied, For they gather to themselves all the nations, bring together to themselves all peoples. (Sheol h7585)
6 ६ सर्वच लोक त्याच्या विरुद्ध बोधकथा घेणार नाहीत काय, आणि त्यास म्हणीने टोमणे मारतील व म्हणतील. जो आपले नाही ते वाढवतो, त्यास हाय हाय! कारण किती वेळ तू घेतलेल्या प्रतिज्ञांचा बोजा वाढवशील?
Shouldn’t everyone mock them? sing a taunt-song against them, and say: Woe to the person who amasses what is not theirs, and loads them self down with goods taken in pledge!
7 ७ तुला भेवाडणारे व तुझ्यावर कडक टीका करणारे असे अचानक उठणार नाहीत काय? तू त्यांच्यासाठी बली असा होशील.
Won’t your creditors suddenly rise, and those who will overthrow you awake, and you become their prey?
8 ८ कारण तू पुष्कळ राष्ट्रे लुटली आहेत, म्हणून त्या लोकांतले उरलेले तुला लुटतील, ते अशासाठी की, मनुष्याच्या रक्तामुळे, देश व गावे यांच्यावर केलेले जुलूम ह्यांमुळे त्या देशांतील व गावांतील लोक तुला लुटतील.
For as you have plundered many peoples, the survivors will prey upon you. You have shed blood and committed violence to the earth, peoples and their cities.
9 ९ ‘जो आपल्या घराण्यासाठी वाईट लाभ मिळवतो व त्याद्वारे अरीष्टांच्या हातातून सुटावे म्हणून आपले घरटे उंच स्थापितो, त्यास हाय हाय!’
Woe to you who seeks unjust gain for your dynasty, who sets your nest on high to be safe from the reach of misfortune!
10 १० तू अनेक लोकांस मारलेस, त्यामुळे तू स्वत: च्या घरासाठी अप्रतिष्ठा तयार केली आहेस आणि आपल्या स्वत: च्या जिवा विरुद्ध पाप केले आहेस.
You have planned only shame for your dynasty. You have destroyed many peoples, and brought guilt upon yourself;
the stone will cry out from the wall, and the beam from the timber will answer it.
Woe to the person who builds a city by bloodshed, and founds a town by crime
13 १३ त्या लोकांनी उभारलेले सर्व आगीत भस्मसात होईल, आणि राष्ट्रे केवळ व्यर्थतेसाठी थकतील, हे सैन्याच्या परमेश्वरा कडून घडून आले नाही काय?
while the peoples toil for what fires will consume, and the nations weary themselves for nothing! This the Lord of hosts has said,
and the earth will be as full of the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the seas are full of water.
15 १५ ‘जी व्यक्ती आपल्या शेजाऱ्याला मद्य प्यायला लावते त्यास हाय हाय! तू आपले विष त्यामध्ये घालून त्यास मस्त करतो,’ ह्यासाठी की त्याचे नग्नपण पाहावे.
Woe to him who in fury gives drink to his neighbor to make him drunk, and see him naked.
16 १६ तू गौरवाने नाही तर अप्रतिष्ठेणे भरला आहेस! तू पण त्याची चव घे आणि आपली नग्नता प्रकट कर! परमेश्वराच्या उजव्या हातांतला प्याला तुझ्याकडे फिरत येईल, आणि तुझ्या सर्व गौरवावर अप्रतिष्ठा पसरवली जाईल.
You are filled with shame, not glory; drink yourself and be uncovered. The cup from the Lord’s hand will pass in turn to you, and shame will cover your glory!
17 १७ लबानोनावर केलेला जुलूम तुला झाकेल आणि पशूंचा केलेला नाश तुला भयभीत करील. कारण मनुष्याचा रक्तपात व तेथील भूमीवर, शहरांवर, आणि त्यातील सर्व रहिवाशांवर केलेला जुलूम ह्यांमुळे असे होईल.
For the violence done to Lebanon will overwhelm you, the destruction of animals will terrify you, because you shed people’s blood on the earth, destroyed people and their cities.
18 १८ मूर्तीकाराने कोरून केलेल्या मुर्तिंमध्ये त्यास काय लाभ? कारण जो कोणी त्यास कोरतो, किंवा ओतीव मूर्ती तयार करतो, तो खोटा शिक्षक आहे, कारण तो जेव्हा अशा मुक्या देवांना बनवतो तेव्हा तो स्वतःच्या हस्तकृतीवर विश्वास ठेवतो, जेव्हा तो अशा मुक्या देवांना बनवतो.
What use is an idol? A human made it, a metal image. It cannot speak, it cannot teach truth, Why does its maker trust it?
19 १९ जो लाकडांच्या मूर्तीस म्हणतो जागा हो! किंवा दगडांच्या मूर्तीस म्हणतो ऊठ! त्यास हाय हाय! या वस्तू शिकवतील काय? पाहा! ते सोन्याने आणि चांदीने मढवले आहेत, पण त्यामध्ये मुळीच श्वास नाही.
Woe to the person who says to a block, awake! to a dumb stone, arise! What can it teach? It may be set with gold and silver, but there is no breath at all within it.
The Lord is in his holy temple. Let all the earth be silent before him!
